Call from this number asking for my wife claiming to be from DWP.
Checked the number on this site and will now ask for a letter if they want to contact us.

It was CSA in my case, no drama!

What a load of codswallop.  The technology does simple not exist for someone to call a mobile device and then gain access to that device.  There is nothing linking that call to the mobile other then voice and no signals exist to capture this info just by dialling and hanging up....

Dont be a knob jockey.. Why on earth would anybody want to speak to scum like you?  You work for us the taxpayer.. We pay your wages csa scum..

I just rang back through to CSA via their 01 number asked if number was theirs and had they called. It does and it was them that called me.

this number is the csa although they left 4 voice mails claiming to be from the dwp about my jsa which im not even claiming

Hi I got a call from this number (0800 783 8527) When I looked it up it says different things DWP / CSA) Which company is it?Could you tell me please?

It is CSA I just rung them back, it was about my case.

If this is a genuine number, why do they phone at 9 o'clock at night. Tried ringing them back 3 times today on an 0845 number, which is not even a UK one!!

They called twice today and both times left voicemail, 2mins long of silence. I phoned Child maintenance service and they've confirmed it wasn't them.

I think you may be over reating and a bit paranoid

Had a few missed calls from this number. Nothing to worry about folks. It is the CSA and they'll call if there has been any changes made to your claim. Nothing sinister

Called saying from CSA.  First request for NI number. I refused.  They said they'd send a letter and went away.

Pretty sure that isn't name of insititution any more.

Sat. 1st August 2015. Called at 10.08am.
Didn't recognise the 0800 number on the screen so didn't answer. They left a voice mail message stating the guys first name, it's dwp & plz ring bk at my earliest convenience on 0845 679 0092 opening hours Mon-Fri 8am-8pm stating my NI.
Well I've rang bk on the one left n the number just goes dead line call ended.
Rang this 0800 bk n that says sorry you went available when we rang we will call back later then goes dead. The automated voice I heard was similar to the dwp one. But it doesn't state it's them. Guess I'll just wait for them to ring again at some point.

It's most likely a scam, as far as i'm concerned.

I received a telephone call to an unlisted landline which only ten (yes-  seriously) people have a record of at 14:30 on a Saturday afternoon from a very polite woman who took a very long and deep breath before asking to speak to a Darren (middle name) (last name) and then gave her own full name and where she was calling from (DWP).

It was very unusual to have the caller identify themselves without being asked, and when I politely told her that she had the wrong number she apologised very prettily and stated that she'd remove the number from this stranger's (stranger to me-  never heard of the poor chap) from the records.

I did 1471 and then Googled it.  Found this page.

So-  seems genuine enough, polite as well.  Mistakes do happen but on a Saturday...?
