Got a short voicemail left by this number saying it was DWP and could I ring a different number back. I'm a bit wary of this as I have been informed by a friend who works in debt recovery that some agencies unlawfully do this to get you to ring back and access your records. Don't know how true this is but I also heard that if DWP or CSA want to get in touch with you it is almost always by mail.

I've been called by this number approx. 10 times over the last few days, and each time they hang up! I found this page and assumed it to be the CSA. Well, I don't have any children, or live with anyone who has children, so why would they want me? Also, I did call the CSA helpline and they said that under no circumstances would they be asking for personal details, they would leave a message stating where they are calling from, and that he wasn't aware of 0800 numbers being used - they should be 0845. I asked why when I called back that I was just getting a recorded message to say' 'We missed you but will call back' with no indication who it was, the CSA said that wouldn't happen either, they would say. Numbers CAN be cloned, even from legitimate organisations. If people want information, they must write to you, and normally the CSA would do this! Be careful.  

Definitely the CSA/DWP I just missed a call from them and they left a different number to call back on and I spoke to them about a matter they were dealing with for me. And they DO call you. I have had several calls over the last 14 years from them on legitimate matters! They have always left a voicemail if I haven't answered the call. I am assuming the 0800 number is a generic DWP number but that the caller should then leave a message giving you the number of the dept they wish you to call back.

hi in answer to your comment i can assure you this is definitely the CSA. i answered the call and the gentleman was very nice. I dealt with his call and he was happy so where you have done that digging cant have been very good as its definitely them !

Csa for sure. Just asked for my national insurance number. Genuine.

Just foned me they must be desperate as it was twice within 15 minutes (missed first call) and it wasn't even me they wanted :'(
When I asked to take a message they said it was government business  so I'm still none the wiser who actually called :(

They don't write letters due to cut backs lol

Called me 20+ times today. When I answered it was trying to connect to a fax (which I don't have) , so annoying and blocking my phone line. Don't have a landline number to call them back. Grrrrrrrr

i just got a phone call from this number saying that there from the CSA agency, i`ve phoned it back on the house phone and all i got was (that this number is out of service). i don`t no who they are at all.

I received 3 calls in quick succession and then a message from a lady with a Northern Ireland accent stating she was from the DWP. Then I heard nothing for a week. So I rang the number she left me and it connected me to the CSA. Turns out they have no record of me on there database and have no issues with me.... so far!

Definitely the CSA chasing outstanding payments.

I always withhold my information until the people who have called me tell me who they are and what they want as I have that right.
If somebody calls and says hello are you Tracy ****** I ask who they are and if they won't tell me so be it I have nothing to hide but will not give my details out until I know who they are...... x

Keep calling...???????

Whether you see them or not,  they still need  food,  clothes and a  roof over their head.   As any  responsible parent  would realise.

For your information you can get all the information by calling  and hanging up as they are working for the government they can request it from the mobile provider I know this as I am was in army intelligence

Ralph your a grade A pr#ck.. most of you that work at the csa read from the same booklet.. hardly any of you have manners and maybe if you spent time chasing the deadbeat mums and dads who dont pay and left the ones who do pay alone. Is it 1.3 billion owed in arrears by deadbeat mums and dads... thank the lord the child support agency are not running the treasury.... now be a good boy and go chase up the real people who have never paid and get the real arrears down

Rang twice today, i answered 2nd time.
Lady asked for Mrs Whiteman.
I said no one of that name was here and that we had lived here for 6 years..!

She apologised and said she would update their system (remove the number). didn't say who was calling.

This is the csa your digging is completely wrong lolsome people are so misguided!
