Rang at 7:20 this morning, these calls really are getting beyond the joke, I'm not even with British gas

Received call today, and got a machine giving me a letters of the alphabet, spell what I do not know. After googling I found it possibly to be British Gas???. What a waste of money

I've had 3 calls within about 6 months, including today,.  A guy says he's an engineer from  British Gas, and that I have made a request for a Boiler service, and when would it be good time to call.  He gives me a customer name, which isn't mine.

I filled in a quote request on British Gas website for boiler cover which asked for a phone number, even though the quote is given online.  Within 10 minutes I had a missed call from this number.  Oddly, when I put this into the BG screen which checks numbers which have called you it says 'not one of ours'.

Grrrrrr.  Why did I ever bother, and it's not as if the cover they offer is particularly brilliant - too many exclusions.

This was a British Gas recorded message to request customer feedback after an engineers visit.
Recorded message was left on my answer phone.

0800 980 6166 called to day. Was an automated voice that just spelt out letters which I didn't manage to note down then hung up. No identification of who they were or anything.

i started to fill in a form for boiler cover on British Gas website, the site crashed, then the calls started from this number.  Had 3 so far at more or less hourly intervals since half past ten.  I never answer calls to numbers I don't recognise, but reading the posts I can see it may become a problem.
The letter sounds a really good idea.  I really do object to big companies thinking that they can do what they like.  I am seriously reconsidering getting off BGas for my boiler now.

Had a recorded call originating from this number earlier today.
A recorded voice said "A serious error has occurred" and then went on to read out a series of numbers then silence then another sequence of numbers and then hung up!
I tracked it and discovered it is a number used by BRITISH GAS.
It was one of the most sinister calls I've ever had. I reported it to I.C.O. and am in the process of lodging a complaint with British Gas.

The call is from British gas boiler servicing plans - probably trying to flog a service package

This is a disgraceful marketing ploy from British Gas. They started by asking about a boiler check I had ordered on a particular day so they knew that information. Then they asked whether we had broadband and said that they were in the area. They would not identify themselves although I know that the number is linked to British Gas. Do they supply broadband now?????

British gas as well, Had boiler fixed (though contract) and it was their automated survey.  
Wouldn't mind - when I called for an engineer, you press 2 to state you don't with to do the survey.  So after the boiler is fixed .. What do they do ?, promptly call you with a survey.

had a call from them today on my landline, on answer machine no message left.I have just had the boiler repaired at the 4th attempt by bg. I will ban this number from my phone,dont want more marketing crap. They can write,the recycling bin awaits!

I wonder if their web site (BG) is fixed to crash because I tried to order a boiler service on-line but the site would not accept my bank account number even though it’s the same one I use to pay for the gas I use.

I had this number call while I was e-mailing them about how shite their web site is but unfortunately for them I have all 0800 numbers blocked so I never seen they’d called until I was checking my caller ID a couple of hours later.

A woman with strong accent asking for Mr. Papadopoulus. She insisted asking my name.

Thank you all that's all I needed, useless company, just had dealings with them, they didn't fix the system or do the one thing that an independent recommended we do...are their engineers on commission or something?  Anyway we're done with them, it's a nice friendly local engineer for us in future!

Its just the complaints department from British gas house insurance. Probably a follow up call. You can open all your blinds once again.

Silent call on 28.05.14

Rang yesterday at 1.52pm, no message left. Suspect it is another call to offer extra services over and above existing boiler contract.

called at 11.32 answered but no one there. will block calls from this number.
