got acall 2 days ago from these people said they could get my credit card balance wiped out. He seemed a very nice lad and I stupidly gave him some of my personnel details,d.o.b and names of my current cards.Called me back today and he wanted more info and me to accept an email from them I suspect some type of problem, only when my daughter came and we checked up on their company, was i alarmed . Do not pursue any conversation with these people as their is not enough proof that they actually do what they say they can do. Caught me on a bad day.Wont do it again,my husband spoke to them tolds them not to phone again, and to remove all my details from their system but will they?am quite worried.

Just had a lady on the phone who asked to speak to my husband. i asked why and she told me it was about a credit aggreement he had taken out. I said there would be no credit aggreement as my husband has not been well for a number of years and I have power of attorney for him. The well spoken lady did apologise and say ' oh! I've been getting this a lot today I will take you off the list' . I did smell a rat so here I am. NEVER give any financial information over the phone to a complete stranger unless you want to be rippoed off.

Just had the umpteenth cold call from this number -seems to be every second day. But each time there's no response and the phone just goes dead. At least they're not wasting more of my time actually talking to me.

I ma laos angered by these cold callers.  Where are they getting our details from????  Very annoying.  I have had 19 calls from various companies to date this year alone. Could be heck of a total by the end of the year.

"Steven" - Welsh guy - recorded call-centre background noise (I asked him to turn the speakers down as I couldn't hear him and he duly obliged, had a nice chat before he hung-up on me). Indeed, the same old "you filled in a consumer lifestyle questionnaire" and babbling about PPI on credit agreements. This number cold-called me yesterday at 22:15 and cold-called today at 12:15... a computer re-dialler and when the line is connected it connects to a real person [I know, I helped to build them!]... probably one of hundreds who "work from home" trying to get peoples consumer agreement numbers, credit card details, payment instructions etc so they can store them (that is how they make their commission after all). Whichever company it is using these details they will not know - they are paid for acquiring details.

Your phone number and potentially historical financial information will be from a myriad of sources such as early non-secure internet payments, leaked company documents, hacked websites... even credible companies like SKY, DVLA, and Experian sell their customer records to 3rd parties. It has nothing to do with being registered with TPS as this cannot stop IP (pseudo-international) calling.

The computer-generated calling will not cease until you have enough reports from the "working from home operators" that you have no information. Even then you will remain on file as by picking up the phone you are providing information on the most likely times your phone will be answered... thus providing legitimate call-centres will valuable information to avoid them making non-connected calls from their legitimate call-centre operations.

Buying a home phone with built-in call-barring will not help as the "from" phone number can be modified very easily. Best bet... keep them on the phone for as long as possible, idle chit-chat or leading them on... they only get paid 1p for taking each call but anywhere from 50p to £50 for acquiring details... the longer you keep them on the phone getting nothing the quicker they will realise this is not the job for them... the less people will be willing to "work from home and make megabucks" and so the cycle of information acquiring will cease.

Just had a welsh gentleman call me and go on about this credit agreement stuff, so I just put my phone on conference mode, and let him talk away. Then he said, 'Hello, Hello, Hello' and when I didn't reply and he realised he was talking to himself, called me a f***ing [***]. It makes my blood boil that people are being taken in by these companies.

I was rung by this number today and the caller asked for my husband... who wasn't in.  When I asked who was calling so I could take a message the caller got all confused.  I don't have Sky and I am also registered with a TPS.

can I suggest you do as I did.. contact consumer direct, who will give you sound advice... ring your credit card company as they have breached their contract with you, and under the consumer rights act, you have rights to get your money back through making your credit card company accountable, lastly ring THE Ministry Of Justice, who regulate these people, they will also be able to assist you. good luck.. they duped me out of £1000... at a time when I was vulnerable.. but so far I have recovered my money from them.If you go to the ministry of justice website, there is a pdf which tells you that they cannot take money without allowing a client time to consider the agreement, therefore breaching the contract. x

i had a call from consortium reclaim , they told me because i had not signed a new contract when my intrest rates went up that my repayments were non enforceable. they even had a genuine looking website which appeared to be backed by the government. i unfortunately give them my deatails , and within minutes they had maxed my credit card. does anybody out there know if there is any way of catching up with these scamsters or if there is anyone who managed to get thee money back of these people?
they should be hung out to die as far as im concerned.
