That's exactly what I want Lizzie - I want to see them prosecuted and put away and compensation paid to all they've extorted.
We'll have to keep on battering at the MPs etc - there has to be a data-sharing link with all of these scummy companies, it really looks as though SatLite are just the tip of the Iceberg, and there must be thousands of people linked via them, all suffering huge distress.
Those job adverts you see in the papers and online for telesales staff - it makes you think doesn't it? Do ppl know what they're getting in to? Do they care?

Lizzie im with you 100% on that. Its no longer good enough just to stop them harrasing us. I want to stop these parasites from harrassing ANYBODY EVER AGAIN. They seem to be exploiting a loophole somewhere but what they gotta know is that loopholes get smaller and smaller until they eventually hang ya. everything they do, everything they say, everything they send just makes the rope tighter round thier neck. Right is on our side, both moraly and legaly, and now we have 3 MPs too.
They started this, but we"ll finish it. Stay Strong people.

Indeed they are....are you having the same problems as the rest of us?..

I am involved because my daughter has just had the orange letter.
I have told Satlite, they have broken the law according to 'The Misrepresentation Act 1967'.
I have told the Capital lot they have contravened the 'OFT Debt Collection Guidelines (Updated December 2006)'
I pointed out a dozen or so seperate contraventions. I am sure if you look you will find more.
It is a shame people have to deal with this trivia. Just because of a few criminals. If we had class actions. As they do in America, and soon in many parts of Europe, all this would be much easier.
Any one I think you are going about it the right way. Getting other victims involved, comparing experiences, may well save the people who see it, at least some angst. Good luck everyone.

Well spotted Nan - I've found quite a few threads on this site but I hadn't seen that one. I've posted the link to this thread on there in the hope that they will move over and join us and the group will grow larger and more compaints will be officially filed.

If you have time could you also report them to Action Fraud and Consumer Direct, and her MP? - The more ppl that officially complain the more the likelihood is that the national Fraud Squad will actually do something about them, we could do with your support.

I'll be drafting my complaint to the financial Ombudsman tonight. Those of you who haven't complained to the Ombudsman yet about Capital Credit Management please have a look, if this wasn't so stressful it would be quite funny! I have found 14 contraventions (in my mum's case so most of you will find more).
Let's get their licence taken away - it's what they deserve!

Positive news at least in this case. Now embroiled in the other, having been phoned by a Chris Irvine from The Advertising Protection Agency! He very pleasantly told me I was not to worry if, indeed i had not filled in an online form. The case would go to court and then they would be able to identify the IP address the referral came from and I would be able to counter-claim. However, he went on, I would receive several phone calls in the meantime. When I asked from whom, he said himself.......?? I asked what the purpose of that was, since I had already explained my side. He told me that they had to prove to the court that they had taken steps to recover the debt! I have actually received one call - one ring on the phone then hang-up. It was this creature's mobile number. Oh yes, forgot to mention - he phones you on a mobile, but you have to contact him through the TAPA number (08443573311). So folks, if you have found yourself on this site whilst investigating Satlite, get off it as quick as you can!

Apparently these idiots showed up at my address, I will keep it vague I will not give the day or who was home, but they actually showed up in suits. Instead of Men in Black, Loser Con Men in cheap suits. It is interesting I did not get the orange letter, I feel cheated I did not get the funny colored paper. They have broken the rules since I filed with the Financial Ombudsmen, but of course the law is not on our side, because it does not care about the individual or these things. It is a shame that in modern society the individual is not able to just throw boiling sugar water on fools like this when trying to force their way into your building, or pull out their eyes in self defense, we are expected to act as part of some ideal world set by laws that idiots trample on, like expecting a Dog to wash the dishes when they do not have the mental or physical capacity to do it and writing laws that dogs should wash their dinner bowls. Shame I was not home, anyways, it is a very sad scam, and hopefully they get caught or put out of business at some point Still would be nice if I was able to figure out a way to turn the law on my side and really ruin their lives physically or financially will have to figure this out. If they do visit and I am home, I think the best I can do is follow them and harass them at their homes...and their families for money and TIME they OWE me.

I found this yesterday (I'm so sorry I didn't keep a track of the site I found this on - it could even have been MSE), and before he 'elected to have his address removed', it was in Manchester -  he must be surely monitoring these sites as the person who noted it remarked that the business address was in London.

I have some hopeful news!

As you know I contacted Kent Trading Standards outlining my complaint against Capital Credit Management on 3rd Oct.
A very helpful lady from Kent TS office called me earlier this morning to discuss the case further and to say they are awaiting a second meeting with CCM which will be happening soon. All disputed cases are definitely on hold and will not be accruing further charges whilst the case is being investigated.
They do have some very interesting information on SatLite and are liaising with Croydon TS closely.

She has asked that I ask all of you who have had dealings with CCM - particularly you Captain America - she was extremely interested in the home visit!! -  to email the kent office with the details of your case - the address is:

I have just finished emailing Keny Trading Standards - hope I hear back from them soon. You knoe, as I was writing the chain of events, it occured to me how bizarre the whole thing is - you just couldn't make it up could you?!

Also written to The Advertising Protection Agency about the other matter using moet's very helpful comments and quoting Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulations 2000. Told them that as they were so sure I had a contract, I was now giving notice to cancel, as per the regs, within 7 working days after the day I received the pack containing terms and conditions. Checked it out with Consumer Direct, who approved it, said I was within my rights so I've now sent it off, recorded to "the address last known to the consumer" If this is just a mailing address and they don't get it for another week, tough [***]! It is valid from the day of posting! Phew!!! Doctor gave me some antidepressants this morning. Hope they help me sleep better. Thanks for all the supprt and advice folks. Feel I'm now back on track and ready to fight with you all again - er, not WITH you exactly, but alongside you!!
