They're recruiting so they must have gotten rid of some old staff. Possibly those who were misleading have been fired. And whilst typing this I just realised I'm going to have to pass on my bank details to them..:/. Am curious to just go in and see how exactly they work...

Don't kid yourself. The rottenness starts at the top. It is not a case of a "rogue" telesales person.  If you have read all these posts properly you can see just how far it goes.  There is more than one company involved.  It is a matter for your own conscience as to whether you take a job with them or not. I know times are hard and jobs are scarce, but do you want to make a living on the backs of elderly and vulerable people?

I agree wholeheartedly with Nan. They are rotten from the very core and will never change.

The company has changed names at least 4 times in the last few years and as you've probably seen from the posts, people are now experiencing further problems from data leakage which is most likely coming from that route.

We are very worried, and so are the Authorities, that there are many more people out there with no Internet access who are really suffering because of these sharks. They are a legitimate company but are treading a very fine line and we're hoping to get them stopped.

Perhaps if you let them know that you are aware of how they trade and you have no wish to be involved they may at last realise that they will not be able to recruit decent law-abiding conscientious employees, that will eventually have an effect on them trading at all.

I do understand you're in a very difficult position as you need to find work but you only need to show a jobcentre this thread and I'm sure they will understand. I am also jobhunting but I would no more accept a job with this mob than mug ppl on the street.

Keep your integrity and dignity and keep away from them - and the very best of luck with your job search.

Hi Katy - well that blows my conspiracy theory out of the window!! (that TAPA actually owned this site and because we were getting so close on their trail they closed it down - I've been reading too many spy thrillers.) Just got back from seeing Gerry Sutcliffe, and although he hasn't replied to my emails, his staff have already made contact with Simon Hart. He was actually contacted by Satlite himself last year, so he knows how plausible they can be - he had the sense to say no!  Anyway he's getting on to it now - and TAPA, so fingers crossed. Whilst I was out somebody phoned from a London number, asking for me but with wrong surname. I put it up here - Payday UK - they give payday loans! Is this the next scam I ask myself.

Ha ha - must admit I was very suspicious about the site as well - it will be a long time before we trust anyone again!

I think we're in for a barrage of calls for a while - I've had one today from an outfit whose specialisation is mass harrassment too - Low Bills/Lowells (and the several other names they use), they left some garbled recorded message just as I answered -  the number is 0845 026 0093, and there's a nice big fat thread on here about them!

Surely, no person in their right mind ever wants to be cold-called, if there was a national poll probably everyone would say 'No' to it, so can we not have it made illegal? Is that far too simplistic?....

I had a phone call from Porta Verde Financial Services last week - you may remember I said the Financial Ombudsman was complaining on my behalf, as Sampora was registered with the FSA, and PVFS was responsible for making sure they actedby the rules. I've sent copies of the letters I received from Capital Credit and my letters quoting the misrepresentation Act 1967 + a brief summary of the story so far. I'm thinking of selling the film rights to Universal Sudios and I've thought of a good title for the film.....Skylite ENSNARED!! This waiting game is a bit nerve wracking isn't it? Don't know whether it's good or bad that we haven't heard anything from them recently. Chins up folks!!

Sorry to be so late replying Lizzie - I was out for a while and then it took me half an hour to stop laughing  - ensnared HA HA!!

PVFS are taking this seriously it seems - HA again. I was thinking, could we get the Comic Strip guys to film this, how brilliant would that be? or maybe it could be a superheroes film with Captain America as himself and you as WonderWoman- Joe as Superman......who would everyone else like  to be? Quite fancy being that one from the Xmen myself!

No news from the TAPAS crew? - I hope not!

Thank goodness you've had nothing to do with Satlite/Sampora - long may that continue. They may try you anyway at some point in the future as they're real chancers, so hopefully you'll be on your guard.
We could be wrong but we feel that there's a data haemorrage (sp?) from them as a lot of us have had other companies contacting us - some demanding money with threats of court action eg an outfit called TAPAS, one called Lending Stream and Payday UK - oh and Low Bills. If you've read the thread then you know the action we've been taking against them and how angry we all are.
We're hoping our MPs (who seem to be communicating), will take this further.

Had an email from OFT today, saying thanks but they couldn't get involved in individual cases - only ones that could have national or international repercussions. I think I might reply that the issue with Satlite could very well have national repercussions. Everybody OK? Joe, where are you??

The OFT sound helpful don't they? I'm still waiting to hear from them. Hopefully if others have contacted them they'll realise it IS a bit of a national issue I'm pretty sure we can't be the only ones to have contacted them.

I've been checking back here from time to time today but all seems quiet on the western front - presumably because the relevant Trading Standards offices have told them to wind their necks in so the harrassment has stopped for now.

Just noticed this site is back up and running however, no news to report alls quiet on the western front, I imagine that either they realise that the game is up with us lot and have moved on to scam some other poor sods. or they"ve had a touch by one or maybe even all the relevent official departments that we"ve reported them to, and are too busy trying to deny any wrongdoing to be bothered with us.
Either way i say we keep up the campaign untill we nail em to the effin floor.
Will keep checking in to see how the gang is.

Nan I'd have to agree - I must admit things only seemed to start moving once Kent Trading Standards were mentioned and I emailed them directly about CCM - Liverpool office were verging on the gloomy side of ultra pessimistic when they contacted me via Consumer Direct about SatLite though. Glad you've got your internet access back - you feel so cut off without it!

Lizzie I think that's a good idea to get a separate crime number - maybe we should all (SatLite and TAPA victims), start calling Action Fraud regularly for updates, maybe things drag and drop a little when they're not being reminded.

I'm on it....or I will be tomorrow afternoon in between work and picking granddaughter up from school! Think I'll ask her advice - 7 year olds are so honest aren't they? I'll post her reply here tomorrow. G'night all.
