i have been trying to email sapphire to cancel membership. postmaster sending back emails as failed. do not have a tel no. to ring them. they are convincing. this is the first time i have fallen for a scam. please everyone put this on twitter, facebook etc to warn others

told me i had won a £20 voucher and needed me to pay a£1 postage to receive this .

Just had the sapphire mag on the phone.
Offering petrol vouchers and 14 day trial.
They asked for my bank details for the £1 to come off for postage. When I said no she got mean saying I was missing out on excellent offers and I was making a mistake.

i stupidly did the same===any body else that does take this out and wants to stop the  79.99 pounds being taken from your account==contact your BANK right away and tell them and they will stop them from taking the money -if they do get the money the bank will replace it in to your account-i have just come off the phone to barclays bank  which is my bank and thie is what theyb have told me,they ars sending me a letter to verify this==hope this helps?.iceman1123

Got a call saying I competed an online survey when I didn't. She then made sure that I didn't and very rudely said goodbye and put the phone down!

Total scam talk so fast 20.00 fuel don5 tell you you have to apply for refund x gave them an unused bank number so safe i think

I've always been told never to give my bank details to anyone over the phone, I did not think when the woman on the phone asked me for them, I was too excited to win something. Luckily I found this site when I wanted to see what magazine I was receiving, I've transferred all my money into my other account and rang the bank to send me a new card, there are sick people in this world.

Just had this same call from "Sapphire" following a survey they said I did on-line on Saturday - creepily, I did complete a survey with someone claiming to be on behalf of girl guides, scouts and youth clubs, I listened just now to the sapphire girl and fortunately had google open so searched and found this whilst she was talking (wondered how she was going to send me th fuel voucher when I hadn't given her or the survey people my address). When she asked for my bank details, I said "no chance" and she said "Oh, ok then",  and hung up. Glad I saw this forum before being caught-out and I'm disgusted with these outfits. Robdogs!

Biggest con going x its cost me money to cancel ny card inconvinience waiting for new card. They dont answer phones no email address so only way to stop money being taken over and over again is to block card and start a new one x yes orange now know this scam exist and will be doing their own fraud investigation so the net is closing on this one at least. Cannot believe i was so stupid

Yeah someone should stop these scammers. The girl spoke so quicly and l agree i never win so the 20.00 fuel voucher was a winner till i went online and how stupid do i feel

Stupidly I just got conned over the phone by Daniel based in Cardiff. What a sucker I have been, stupid or what.
The number I was called on was

They have just called me asking for £1 postage for twenty pounds petrol voucher and magazine. All sounded lovely however wouldnt have given my details over the phone.so told them my card had been lost and im waiting for a new one. They offered to call back next week and gave me their details. The bit that got me was when they said do not search in google type the website direct in the search bar. Of course im gonna google it! Plus who pays £79.99 for a magazine?!

Harassment isn't a term I freely use however, I was contacted today at 01:13 pm  by this number to which I stated that I was not interested, to which I was kept on the phone for a further 8 minutes, completely wasting my time and don't take no for an answer, failed to mention there would be a 79.99 charge if I failed to unsubscribe to some magazine I couldn't find ( the only one I found with the title Sapphire Magazine was a magazine for lesbians which would not relate to me as I am Male!)

same happened to me.. and i explicitly said to them again and again that i did not want anymore than £1.00-£1.50 taken from my a/ c for admin.. emailed them few days later to say i m pleased they did not takr it.. then to be sure, a few days later, i called them.. said they had taken it.. I checked my bank a/c.. it had been taken  £79.99. I have written to their Customer service Dept 2.5 weeks ago.. and emailed them heard nil.. i will taker it to CAB for help/ advice
