- NessyMy husband was scammed by this company, and they have just had the cheek to phone again. Please read the information other people have posted and say no to their scam.
- AdamThis firm is a complete con, they basically promise you to take £1 for postage then send nothing and when your life has moved on the start to bill you allegedly 79.99 a year how ever they are doing it weekly. PLEASE HANG UP ON THESE PEOPLE.

- mikeI recurved a phone call to state that I would receive free vouchers for completion of online survey. All I had to do is give was to give my card details over the phone - to cover the £1 postage costs. Told them I don't have cards and surprise was told I would not get the vouchers

- Elaine replies to ME GROUP| 1 replyYou state you do not cold call... this is a lie - you have called my mobile number and I have never heard of you - did not recognise number so checked you out ... !!!! DO NOT CALL ME EVER ...
- Jackie| 1 replyI was contacted by Sapphire after doing a telephone survey Warning - I was asked if I would like to look at a magazine and have some fuel vouchers for £1. I was busy and thought nothing of it as I'd done something simillar before and it was fine. I was a day late cancelling and they took £79.99 out of my account. I told them to cancel it for next year. I have since contacted the company three times on the phone number about the gourmet card and it still hasn't arrive 22 working days later. I have stopped the payment going out ever again from my bank account only to find they have charged me £79.99 two months running. My bank has been very good and will refund me within 24 hours plus stopp further payments. I have since spoken to Sapphire again and they have apologised saying it shouldn't of happened. They will refund me in 14 days which means they are happy to take your money twice but mnot refund it immediately. Be warned this could be a scam and don't fall into the same trap as I have done.

- KaetJust had a phone call from this number asking for my partner, told them he wasn't in and asked who was calling got the response "Sapphire", asked what it was regarding, the man told me he couldn't discuss it with me because of data protection and they would call back. Obviously trying to make out it was a serious call. Rang 1471 to get the number and checked it on here and see it's a scam. Like others have said loads of laughing and shouting in the background. Going to report as we're registered with TPS.

- Jane replies to rosemaryI've just had the same call offering the petrol voucher for £1 postage and trial leading up to the £79.99 they told me it was for cancer and everyone could trust them thank goodness I read this
I didn't give them bank details - Andrea replies to lisaI had call today, a lady asking to speak to my son who is 14 and autistic. I told her he is not home he is spending a few days with his nan and she said she will ring back next week I asked who was speaking and she said sapphire magazine Cardiff and that my son had done a survey. My son does not have a bank account and after seeing all the comments on here I WILL BE WAITING FOR THEIR CALL
- KathyI have just had a call from the telephone number 0844 567 0460 company claiming to be from a magazine called Sapphire, asking if I would like a free copy in return for £20 fuel voucher. The lady that phoned said that she was from a Cardiff call centre that her I.d ref was 1065 then said all it would cost was £1 to cover postage, which would show up on my bank statement as 084035070707, no obligation to subscribe, all very convincing. She then read out (very quickly) the legal blurb and I caught a bit saying "£1 membership ...... £79.99 discounted a year...." I stopped her and said I thought the £1 was to cover postage not membership and she said it was, I asked her to read out the blurb again which she happily and politely did, and it said " £1 for 6 months discounted membership..." At this point I stopped her again and said I'd rather not proceed, thank god after reading all of the posts!

- LauraI had a phone call today from Sapphire, offered £20 petrol voucher plus a magazine with £200 worth of vouchers, all for £1. Was told voucher and magazine would arrive in two days and that I would be able to phone straight away and cancel my 'membership' and no further money (£79.99) would be taken. It sounded good and I nearly fell for it, only after reading these comments have I realised how lucky I am that I said 'no'. The woman who spoke to me was very persuasive and reassuring, I can understand how people think it is genuine and only realise their mistake when it's too late. In future I will be giving my husband's stock reply to cold callers, it's not very ladylike but I think they will get the message.

- A.Olike a few people on this post, I received a call from a very convincing lady from Sapphire Lifestyle Magasine who thanked me for completing the online survey that I completed yesterday and informed me that as a thank you she would be sending me £20 worth of diesel or petrol vouchers and a new lifestyle Magasine with over £200 worth of vouchers and money off coupons included. I was advised that I was under no obligation to subscribe but the normal subscription cost is £79.99 and all they ask is that I look through the Magasine, see what I think and if I don't like it, I telephone them to let them know and also pass on the Magasine to someone else to help raise its profile. The lady told me that all they ask is that I pay the £1 delivery cost for the Magasine and she would need my debit or credit card, just the long 16 digits and expiry date but she said not the security code so that she doesn't have all of my personal information. I stupidly gave it, but felt uneasy so after I got off the phone googled the company and came across this site so I immediately cancelled my cards with the bank who said they were very aware of this scam.

- anonomus replies to fairydust1i did what you had done but kept a count down on my calender after i received my magazine i sent them an email with all the details they had given me and had my membership terminated straight away, i had also included in the email that if they do not remove my data from there servers then i would be taking them to court for harassing me during work and college.
- michael| 1 replyjust found the post about the guy who recieved a call from someone talking about energy suppliers etc he phoned me friday gone and i answered a few questions......at the end of the call he asked if he could give my contact details to companies that could offer me deals.......i told him no but he just wouldnt take that for an answer, he started talking over me when i started asking question so i hung up, he phoned me again, literally 2 minutes later and i told him where to go and hung up again......these calls persisted for at least 2 hours and when i 1471 it was a withheld number.......i didn't receive another call over the weekend but was called from the 08445670460 this morning.......i didn't answer, dialled 1471 and googled the number which led me here....my dad has been receiving the same calls for a while now and he just ignores them.......i can'' tell who's calling unless i 1471 it so i'm having to ignore the phone and call back the people i know, watch out for these harassing scam artists!!!!!
- matt replies to michaelhaving in the last few days had a debit of £79.99 taken from my account i am in middle of trying to recover the amount after signing up to the £1 trial however i have just this minute had a phone call from a lady offering a free trial of some sort of shopping goods etc and was going to send me a free trial pack etc free of charge they had my name and address details...how i dont know but they said it was from YOUR MEDICINE CABINET when i listened to the terms i heard the name ME CLUB get mentioned to which i stopped her and asked her for a website to check, there company name and if they are part of me club to which she said yes at that point i said no i do not want it thank you goodbye so please anyone else get a call from them dont agree to it as they probably have your card details stored from the previous sapphire scam and you are basically giving them permission to debit you again.
- Mrs. A. HowarthReceived a call from a company calling themselves Saphire Magazine Caridiff. They apparently took my details from a survey I did for a local supermarket. They informed me that that they were going to send me £20.00 of petrol vouchers for completing the survey, which I could use at any petrol station of my choice. Then went on to explain about he magazine whichwas an automatic subscription of £79.95 p.a. for money off vouchers, but that I could cancell at any time. I insisted that I didnt want them to automatically register me to any magazine and didnt want to received any vouchers and they ended the call whilst I Iwas talking.
