its a scam company from sierra leone. they ask your "security" details so they can get into your account. Its definatly a scam dont answer!!

I have had 21 calls from this number in the past week. I have refused to answer each time and they have left no voicemails. I am so glad that I have just found this website warning me about the scam. It makes me sick, how can these people sleep at night!?!

Got a missed call from these today. have no idea who they are. getting really sick of these calls. Can anything be done to stop them?

08445811014 this number has been calling me at least 7 times a day for the last three weeks but i refuse to answer..  I do bank with the Halifax and i am behind with payments, but in the past when I've called the Halifax its always been a Scottish person I've spoken to concerning my credit card and an English person concerning my bank account, WHENEVER I'VE RECEIVED CALLS FROM THE HALIFAX THEY HAVE NEVER HUNG UP ON ME......this must be a scam dont answer them.....

I too keep getting phoned constantly. I say I don't give out security details over incoming calls and they hang up. I phoned Halifax and they say it is a scam, all phone calls from them start 0845. To stop the calls you can contact your mobile provider and request the number is blocked.

I used to work for the company in question. www.agilisys.co.uk They have a large number of contracts with a lot of companies. The calls aren't scams but if you're unlucky enough to be on their dialler, i'd suggest taking the call first time it comes through, if only for your sanity.

They keep calling me and hanging up. When I rang back just now I got a machine that listed a bunch of banks including RBS and Halifax that they might be calling on behalf of. I am having the number barred so they can't call me again - I suggest anyone else does the same.

Have been getting these for months. Had loads over the Easter weekend. Slowly going mad. I also contacted my bank to confirm that the number is bogus. the bank told me that they would never phone out of hours or on a bank holiday unless I was some big international wheeler=dealer. Just had another one today (9.30 16/4/09). Have contacted TSA,TPS et al. Just looking forward to getting this number blocked. After registering with TPS,do they e-mail you in the future to ask you which numbers you wish to block?

The scam looks possibly more cunning than as first appears!
1. My bank (HBOS) confirms it IS their number.
2. My bank says that they would NOT call on a bank holiday.
3. I did receive calls on Good Friday and Easter Monday as well as the Saturday and Sunday and every time I "1471ed", the number 08445811024 came up?
4. Does this mean that the scammers are somehow managing to make the last caller number the valid HBOS number so that a victim would fall for it when the scammer called later? Any ideas out there? I am beginning to doubt everything now.

Calls every day about 3 times a day at all hours.......... AAAArrrgggghhhhh!!!!

Got a call today on my mobile from this number from a foreign sounding gentleman saying he was from the Halifax.  I was asked for some personal details for security.  I refused saying I had no proof he was from the Halifax and the line suddenly went dead!

Call at least 3-4 times a day, do not answer and they do not leave a message, really annoying.  Only answered once and they said they were from the Halifax, they wanted to know details, address, date of birth, when I refused to answer they hung up.  Thank God for this web site, now know its a scam.

I get at calls nearly every hour from this number both on my mobile and house phone for months, like the other's here, when I did picked up there is nobody there.  It's driving me insane.  Who the hell is it and how can I stop it??

This number is HBOS (halifax, Bank of scotland, Sainsburys bank) outbound id. I can verify this as i am an employee and branch manager for halifax.

If you are a bit iffy about giving your year of birth - not date but year - then ask for it in writing or contact customer services asking if there are any account issues. Easy.

I have had enough of dealing with customers coming in and saying that scammers are after their cash after reading this website and many similar ones. people posting on here shouldnt be so paranoid.

Girl called Krystle from Newcastle- but not working in Newcastle asked for someone tonight not living at this house- refused to give any further details even though I rquested an exyension number to report her and informed her4 she was breaching the DPA 2005

She said she was from Halifax and then hung up

Until tonight this number has rung about 4 times a day and no one has ever answered have reported it to TPS
