I'm off directory and registered TPS. Got called by 08450304400 did not press anything. They gave up in 59 sec. No matter Ofcom etc cannot do anything; let's report it to everyone so many of us they get fed up and stop all this! Of course those whose line has been engaged for long had been put a risk in case of emergency.

Had a message fielded by the BT answer service. Again, offering £50 M&S voucher as a prize. Again the automated robot lady indicated that pressing 9 would stop them ever ringing again. And then it was the opening question of if I have brought an electrical item based on it's energy rating. As it's the BT answer service there is no response. So robot lady asks again. Big surprise, still no response. Call was ended. I'm fairly certain I had a call from the exact same robot lady about 6 months ago. So it looks like they are going back through their numbers. Time to go over to TPS web site and fill in a complaint.

Had a look at the TPS web site. In short, they say complaining to them won't get anything done, as all they do is pass on a report to the "Information Commissioner's Officer" (ICO).

However the ICO are willing to take complaints...

May be worth a try?

Just had a call from these parasites requestng confirmation or no whether I have recently bought electrical items. Prize draw and all that if info was provided.Usual scottish female introduction

The truth is that I have recently purchased 5 electrical items for a kitchen refurb;these item were purchaced via an on line supplier (savings  on total were nearly £800). It could be the case that these "on line" suppliers are selling your details on to the parasites who call you.

Be careful who you give your landline number to and ask on line retailers not to pass your details on to any of these parasititic outfits. Clearly they are in breach of the Data Protection Act.

Been contacted by this company on an energy survey !!!! Dodgy to say the least

Yes, they are - if you are calling somebody registerd with the TPS and you are not an organisation with whom that person has done business.  Please show me where in the OFCOM guidelines it says unsolicited cold calling offering entry into prize draws is permitted?

Another prerecorded call for a marketing survey - still getting through even though I am registered with the TPS through BT !

Had several calls from this number. On answering each time the line went dead, but re-calling it revealed it to be Kersdale "Market Research" (a euphamism for sales)

Found this number as a missed call this afternoon.  I'm also registered with TPS and ex-directory and find sales calls from so-called market researchers a right pain.  I don't understand why, after I've expressed a preference for no sales/marketing/unwanted calls, companies who ignore this aren't subject to sanction.  Grrrr.

I have just got my new phone number after moving home and these people have already phoned me twice in two days!! I am ex-directory and registered with TPS.

I too have just had this and it continued for some time, blocking the phone line which should be illegal in itself.   Best solution is to get a cordless phone with number display and blocking facility (no charge, it is done on phone, not through BT) and at least you'll never be bothered again.

I just got one. If you don't press anything it eventually gives up after 5 times.
I phoned the number back, got 'Kirsty' again, and when prompted to press 9 pressed it repeatedly.
Doesn't look like they leave you a big windows here, but I got a 'you have opted out'  message.

I have spoken to Curved Air about the 20 phone calls per phone per day our place of business is receiving from curvedairglobal.com and   Apparently it’s our fault and we are recommended to press 5 not 9 to block the calls.  William Taylor and Marcus Lashley are awaiting your calls whether they be complaints or compliments on 0845 050 0344, if you wish to email them to express your thoughts on these phone calls their email addresses are; william.taylor@curvedairglobal.com & marcus.lashley@curvedairglobal.com

Try calling the Hot House Energy Company, who employ the marketing company (Kersdale) that are making these calls - I'm sure they'd rather we didn't call them so maybe they'll switch telemarketers?

My number is ex directory, and I'm registered with the TPS. I received a call from 08450304400 about 10 minutes ago, which I didn't answer. I see that this caller has amassed 19 pages of complaints against it on this website. At what stage do TPS intervene and instruct these Companies to 'stop.? Perhaps the TPS would care to comment?
