Ignored the call and it left a message on 1571 instead. Something to do with prize draw, M&S vouchers and energy efficiency. Much as everyone else has said.

Me too.  Just received a call about the electrical efficiency survey.  Decided not to press any buttons so she asked me to retry twice before giving up and putting the phone down.  I had actually hoped to speak to someone and play out my own message to them before hanging up the phone but I didn't get the opportunity... grrr.

I could use the phone immediately. We're with VirginMedia, and TPS.

P.S. I'm not convinced that registering your phone on any website would remove it from anyone's list.

I suspect this is a good way for surveyers / marketeers to tell which phone numbers are live.  Be careful about that one!

I have also received a recorded message asking me to take part in this survey, on a Sunday. Also TPS registered.... so what's the point?

Called today, hung up and no further call, but exactly as others say.  I too am with the TPS!  Which seem to be a waste of space too at times

This number called today 18/04/2011 when I was out the message is very tin like and very distorted  then all of a sudden a scottish womans voice is clearly heard saying press 9 and take the survey?!?!? I did not, and now very glad as the previous commentator seems to have had a nightmare trying to end the call.  I wonder how much that cost-hopefully not too much.
I cannot determine who they are as the first part of the message was just so very distorted, but the "ring 9 now" was clear as a bell, so be warned, do not ring 9 anytime!!

Left a message on our answering machine. Apparently the caller's computer was interested in the anwering machine's opinion on various electrical matters.

Scammer? No, clown!    ;-D

More than 2 months after it was promised Curved Air put up an opt out page. Wonder if they're this slow trousering their ill-gotten gains from the clients they survey for? Anyway, details added. Toes crossed it will work...

08450304400 an unsolicited phone call to an ex-directory number that is signed to the telephone preference service that blocked my phone when I was expecting an urgent call.

Keeps calling my Landline which is on divert to my mobile,i am in Spain cost me a fortune nobody on the line when i answer

I had this message yesterday (on my BT answer phone) , an ortimated call about an electirical survey, even asking me the first question, asking 3 times to answer the first question only when it realised I didn't responed to it did it hang up>>>>>>>>>>>>

Today I actually received the survey call and completed it, ignoring the request to supply a name/address for the M&S voucher.

I have just received a follow-up call which i answered to see if I'd be interested in solar power under the governments FiT's scheme (which I can attest is an excellent means of saving both energy and money (providing you have a minimum of £10K available upfront to invest), in any event I declined and was assured there would be no further contact.

Now the scare stories of what may occur if you press any button during this survey call seem fairly ludicrous to me and the simple act of answering a call should I hope allay fears and stop any further call disturbing my peace, now if only all the other calls would cease I'd be a happy bunny!
