I get this phone calls on a daily basis. Try to answer twice, liner went dead. It is very annoying!!

They called me yesterday and today around the lunch break, but I didn't bother to reply. They never leave a voicemail, so I don't care. Probably it is related with a card I have from Burton's (related with Topshop-Topman as well). I will go to cancel it and see what happens.

It is GE Capital telemarketing - if you call their customer services number on 0113 2807080 they'll apologise and take you off the contact list.

They called again today for the forth time. Why do they bother calling if they won't even stay on the line? I'm going to make a complaint to Burton - I have always opted out of third party marketing.

My bet is that they simply call the next number on their list and then realise "oh, he's on the TPS" and hang up at the last moment. They don't delete the record though... Spammers.

I have had calls from this number twice, but have missed them. I also have a store card at debenhams! If I speak to them I will be asking where they got my number then telling them where to go and not forgetting getting intouch with debenhams.

I have been called at lunchtime for the past couple of days. I haven't been here at the time so haven't answered.

Recieved two calls today, ignored both becouse i didnt know the number, i know there is only 3 people who have this number and it was none of them so it means it HAS to have been related the debenhams card i took out a couple of years ago by mistake, i intend on phoning them up tommorow and complaining (regardless of whether it is them or not, THEY are resposible for the breach in the data protection act either way) and i will cancel the card to boot, on top of me never going near any of their stores again.

I took out a Debenhams Credit card recently.  Well to be specific I took out the store card, but when it arrived they had signed me up for the credit card.  
Extra cash for the sales assistant I suppose!

Since then I've been receiving calls from the said number, so its definetly related to the Store Cards.

I now plan to cancel my card ASAP.

OK - they called for 5th time today and I answered.

She said she was calling from Financial Services about a possible "upgrade" for my Burtons account. I asked her if she was selling anything because if so I am on the TPS, but she kept reading from her selling script regardless. After a couple questions it was obvious that this would take up a lot of both our time so I asked her to call back teatime tomorrow. Rest assured their number will be blocked by then.

Call from 08451309405 just came in on my mobile phone - I didn't answer as the reception in my office is not good and would have cut them off - searched for the number online and found this thread - interestingly GE Capital bank have phoned me three times in the last week too trying to sell insurance. I have a Debenhams account!
Mum also has a Debenhams account and experienced a GE Capital phonecall at home and shes ex directory. Coincidence? I think not.

My story is the same as everyone else's: ringing mobile, then a dead line. I took out a Debenham's store card recently, the credit line of which is controlled by GE Money. I'm cancelling my card now - what a gross breach of privacy. I'm also going to contact a consumer watchdog to report this. Thank goodness for Google so I could find this website!

The calls are coming from a company called "Genworth Financial" and they will have been given your details by "GE Money".  GE Money is the name behind most of the major high street card programmes in the UK such as Mothercare, Miss Selfridge, Debenhams, B&Q and Burton etc.  I have cancelled my Debenhams card after receiveing these calls.  

NOTE - As far as I'm aware GE Money are commiting a crime under the Data Protection act by giving these details out as Genworth Finacial was sold off from GE Money to form a new comany back in 2004! Hence the data is going outside of their coorporation.  I'd be interested to know the law on this point if anyone has more information?

I have to received phone calls from this number "08451309405" and have noticed a few people commenting about a burton card and it might be that burton have been giving details. I to have a burton store card so this must be how this annoying company or what ever it is got my details. If it continues i will get in contact with burton and confront them and see if that makes any difference.

Keep getting calls from this number, it does nothing but pause and hang up, coupled with all the other crap calls and recorded messages, someone needs to intervene. Its the reason i chose to be x directory, however that doesnt work nowadays.

If it is established it is Genworth Financial perhaps we should all be ringing and ignoring them, i have just done it about 10 times 0208 380 3000 made me feel better.

I don't have any store cards and have no idea how they got my number but I haven't been available to answer when they call.
