Report a phone call from 08451309405 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- armed dragongot a call from the same number 0845 etc. and how the hell did they get my
number dose anyone have a clue who they are and what there prob is :( - VisitorHi,
I got some info here from the Information Commissioner's Office website and there is an article about how you can (or at least TRY) to stop unsolicitated phone calls from marketing companies...http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/librar ... g_materials.pdf - NeilIve got it! its the same Neil from page 1. just had a call from the same number on my mobile. It IS from Burton (the clothes shop) or at least thats what the lady was saying.
I took out a storecard once and never used it again, just for the initial discount. This lady (who talked for AGES about benfits of this that and the other) was trying to sell some package deal as insurance incase i get ill and cant pay my card.
I said "i was jerked around after using it once, i will not use again" - and the lady politely said "ok sir, thats fine etc etc."
So it seems thats what it is, my guess is you all have or applied for at some point, a Burtons card: www.burton.co.uk (this is website incase you dont know the company i mean, i got it instore)
So it seems BURTON's is the culprit and if u had any bad calls from that number, report it.
p.s. I cant say 100% that its burton incase its some scam who said they were Burtons to me.
please say if u got this burton card to help put my mind at ease!
Neil- Caller: Burton's Menswear storecard
- kathrynI am at university and my mum said they had rung me at home, after reading these comments i think it may be the storecards who are giving our details away, as i opened an account with miss selfridge, who are in the same chain as burton, also dorothy perkins etc.
- StefThey're on my case too, don't plan on answering, recently have obtained a store card so this matches above comments. How long will these calls last I wonder????
- ClareI've just had a call - answered and no one responded.
I have recently (last few months) taken out a Dorothy Perkins Storecard - so may be Arcadia (Group owning Dorothy Perkins and Burtons) giving out details?
Phone provider is TMobile and I dont usually receive such calls. Put the number into google and now hoping I dont start having the same experience as some of the individuals above! :( - PrashHad a call this morning on my O2 mobile. Couldn't get the call as was driving and they left no message. Typed the number and got to this page and I totally agree with Neil above. I had applied and have a burtons card. I dont use it at all. Only opened the account to get the initial discount and paid my balance off within the 1st month. Dont know wht the hell they want. Can the stores pass your information to other telemarketing companies??
- Caller: Arcadia Group
- DobbsJust got a call from that number, and I did open a Burtons Store Card about 2 x months ago. When I answered the phone, the line went dead. Very annoying.
- LynnSame again. Took out a Burton store card a couple of months ago for the discount. Will be having words at the store at the weekend.
- ZoeI received a call from this number today at 13.46. I wasn't able to take the call but I wanted to know who it was and found this site.
I don't have a Burtons Store card but I am with O2.
I hope they don't call again. If they do I will be cutting them off or keep them on the line as long as possible just to be annoying! - ZafiHad a call from this number, I think this issue should be raised with TPS,so that they can track users of this number.
- ADJust now got a call from this same number. Googled and found this site. Have store card from Debenhams. Don't know if it is part of same Dorothy Perkins group but very annoying as I was on other telecon at the moment and took this thinking it could be something important.
Very annoying, wonder who is passing the details onto this marketeer. As usual, it went dead the moment I picked the call. I am on O2- Caller: No clue
- Visitor 1986Had 3 missed calls today. I do have a DP storecard but took that out years ago on a different Mobile no. Mobile is on O2, but if you google an 0845 No and it is O2 it normally says. Don't have any other store cards!! I just keep rejecting it.
- FreyaI have got missed calls from this number both yesterday and today, i didn't get to the phone in time as had it on silent. Let's hope it doesn't continue. My mobile is on O2 but have no storecards.
- MPYesterday (03.12.07) I got a call from asda storecard asking about insurance cover for the card. I politely said no, and I suspect this is the same lot who called again today but just got a busy office noise.... I suspect it is storecard operators passing on information.
- LisaHave had 4 calls today form these guys, once I answer they put the phone down on me, I'm just going to leave the phone ringing from now on. We are ex-directory and on the telephone preference list, so again they should not have our details. We have only an asda storecard. Thinking about it, don't lots of people take out store cards arround this time of the year? If it looks like a scam and smells like a scam, it probably is a scam.
- titiy did they call
- MHad calls from this number every day for past week during mid afternoon.
No message has been left when i have not answered. I too have storecard from 1 of the shops that Burton are affiliated to so it appears likely our info is being passed on by them. Very annoying. - sharonIm getting calls from this number - 0845 1309405, every morning at 10am
- Caller: No idea
- sharonApparently this number is the Royal Bank of Scotland or someone pretending to be them
