ive had the same call while ive been out and they ask for me by name.they call at the same time of 15.39 and theve phone three times now.i have recently got a store card from bhs so whether that is connected i dont know.this maybe unconnected,but while i was out late at night two con men came to the door asking for me,they new my name my proffession and claimed to be from the health and safety executive( yeah right at 20.00 hours).this probably isnt connected,maybe just a very unlucky week for me.anybody else had dodgy or bogus callers or officals that somehow didnt ring true,please let me know,its probably just a coincidence.

I have been called up by this number about 4 or 5 times over the past two weeks. Everytime it happens it is roughly between 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Once I answer the call the line goes dead. I don't have a Burtons card but have recently got a store card for Topman. The link being that they are both part of the Arcadia group. Cannot think who else could be giving my number out?!

i have been getting calls from this nummber also for the past week i have traced this nummber and am going to put an end to these call by destroying the company so hopefully we wont have to put up with this anymre

Hey - got a missed call from this number 1 minute ago, Googled it to see who it was and like the last comment, I also had a Burtons storecard account until last week. Maybe its Burtons, maybe not, but I did check the option saying not to pass on my details.

the same happened to me - I rang the number back and pressed "1" - hopefully they won't be calling again

got a call from this number 10 mins ago answerd it and they put the phone down think we get them every day same time the gits lol

i just got a call 2m mins ago from the 08451309405 number. i did not answer but recall i may have had a call on couple more occasions. Just as Neil stated on 27 Nov 2007 id like to say i have just opened a Top Shop card a couple of months ago!!! Im stating this aswell in the event that others have given details to any clothes outlet/store.

keeps calling me but doesnt speak or leave a message really anoying want to complain but cant find anyone who is accountable .

This number keeps calling despite the fact that I am registered on TPS, always opt out of tele-marketing calls and am ex-directory. Everytime I answer it goes dead. Today someone was there! They were calling from Frasercard (House of Fraser) i.e. GE Capital. In the meantime I complained to Ofcom and also there is a weblink on the BT site to another site where you can register to reduce silent calls as a result of the outward telephone system that these call centres use. If your phone is with BT you can also use their Chose to Refuse service to stop this number calling you. You would have though that GE Capital would be more responsible, but obviously not!

I have suffered the same, at least 3 times this week alone, and always at about the same time (11 -11.30 am). I have never had a caller at the other end the line just cuts off after a few seconds. This time I 1471'ed it and managed to get an answer from yet another machine advising it was a Telemarketing Company and to leave a message if I no longer wished to receive their calls. Suffice it to say my reply is not printable as I work nights and they have woken me up every time.
Having read the other comments they must be getting details from elsewhere as well because no-one in my household have any store or credit cards.
When will these idiots work out that the only thing that these calls earn them is an earful because we do not buy from cold callers.

Have been rung by this number several times within the last two weeks; whoever it is hangs up straight away. I got their number by dialling 1471, but don't feel inclined to ring it. I am also registered with the TPS.

just typed 08451309405 into google and found this page.I can relate to every message above.they phoned me everyday for last week and a half on my mobile while im a work- no message left just office noise. also same for no. 01709 842899 exactly the same.Then phoned me in evening when i was able to answer -started trying to flog me some finacial service.

Have had about 5 calls from this number in the last couple of weeks. Always rings and goes dead on answering. Could this be related to the pre-recorded message calls I am recieving in the evenings?

Very frustrating!

Every weekday afternoon at about 4pm. Silent phone call. Ties in with both wife and daughter who have store cards run by GE Capital Finance who haven't bought anything on them for months.

08451309405 and 01709842899 have called me at least once a day each for the past 2-3 weeks - it's absolutely annoying. I never answer but wish they'd get the message. I also got a DP card which seems to be the common denominator here... the calls started not long after getting that. I wonder if I can call DP and get removed?

Had a call from this number muliple times over the past few weeks. There's never anyone there when I answer so now I just cancel the call immediately. I opened a store card with Debenhams a few months ago but would not have agreed for my details to be passed on.

Has anyone managed to stop getting these calls?

Cheeky f***ers keep waking me up on my days off. I've just started getting these calls AGAIN. a few weeks ago it happened for a couple of weeks, 4 times a day or so and then it stopped. Not for long obviously! No answer from anybody when I have managed to answer it. Even tried calling it back once. I have a suspicion that I have been charged a fortune for that. It's obviously an illegal system. I'm going to call the police but dunno what they can do about it.

Been having this number call me everyday for past few days, they call and when the answer phone kicks in they hang up, I or my wife do not have any storecards .. suppose they'll give up when they get bored of no one home to answer!

I have just picked up the phone even though it was my regular call from 08451 309405 and surprise, surprise someone answered! Here the mystery deepens as the caller stated that he was from Castle Cover who appear to be a reputable insurance company. However, he said that he couldn't confirm that he was phoning from 08451 309405 as it was an automatic call and the number was being used by a number of companies, not just his! I told him how annoyed I was and also the many hundreds of people who were being harassed by this automatic calling nuisance. He apologised and offered to remove my number from his database but presumably this won't stop all the other companies. Is there nothing we can do?

Same here 08451309405 a few times , I feel if you ring um back probably £1.50 a minute,,thats what I think of society today.
