    Just called the 'Silent Callguard Service' number from the TPS website and registered our number yet again.
    Interestingly, there is a further message advising how you can stop ALL of the Silent calls to your number and then gives u the option to speak to a representative ... however, I've run a quick search in Google and found this : http://www.callblocker.co.uk/ ... makes interesting reading ... but at £74.99 plus £4.99 p&p ... I don't know if it's worth it ?!?!

    I just received a call from the number above and had no reply so decided to type it into a search engine and found this. Thanks to the information posted on here I know to think nothing of the phonecall and will not redial :)

    What an interesting site, so many people getting phone calls from this 08451309405 number, and no-one knows who is at the other end.

    I have received in the last 5 days 11 calls from this number, and quite frankly am getting a little tired of them forever calling.  I don't have any store cards, so I am presuming that they are just calling random numbers.

    I too will re-registered my number with TPS and hope in the near future that someone will get to the bottom of who is calling.

    They certainly are persistent - two calls on average every day for the past two weeks. No message left, but a considerable nuisance to say the least

    I've just got a missed call and they left no message.  I hope never to be around when they do so that I don't have to go to the trouble of answering :)

    I have been repeatedly called by this number and several others of a similar ilk over the last month or so... when I answer I ask them politely to hold for a second and then I go and do something else for 15 minutes before returning to the phone and to my amasement they have hung up... how rude!!

    i recently took an asda credit card and have been plagued by calls from this number and 01709763840 - no one ever speaks to me when I answer. I am receiving 5 - 6 calls per day.

    having read this site i called GE money - (number on back of my new credit card) and asked them to put the "dont contact indicator" on my account.  i have been assured that i will not be contacted by GE Money (this number) again

    Had several calls today 1/4/08, phone goes dead each time, i like to pretend that i'm interested in the product/service offered then claim to be looking for details of accident/phone handset/previous insurance details/etc and ask the caller to hold, keep checking back every few minutes telling them your having dificulty loctaing information. The idea is to keep them on the line for as long as possible, my record is 6 min but i have a freind who kept a phone salesman on the line for 18 mins!!

    This number has been calling our home phone now for the past week and its the same everytime, answer the phone nobody there slight noise in background. Getting really hacked off with it now as it is calling late in the evening when our 5 year old is in bed!! We are ex-directory as other people have said on here so where they get your number from I would like to know. Do these marketing companies have the right to give / sell your telephone number to other companies, is that not a breach of the data protection act?

    It must be burtons, I got a call from them last week on 01473 214800, then today 03/04/08 @ 1500hrs got a call from 08451309405. Same as above - they are the only two compaines (02 & Burtons other than friends, family & my college).

    this number has been calling me all afternoon, sometimes it rings and rings, other times it rings just twice. i have picked up the phone twice now, mainly to tell them to get lost! but its an auto hang up each time. i am registered with telephon preference, but will be checking on that now!
