Report a phone call from 08453004275 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- JackI,ve just googled this number and found this site like the rest of you.
They say they are calling me regarding last months overdue payment on my Barclaycard account,(I answered it once last week,an english voice and also Sunday at 17:05,a non english voice),which is true because I missed it last month but I think it may just be a late payment collection ageny that are contracted from numerous financial organisations.
They expected me to make a payment over the phone via debit/credit card!!!!Don't think so!!
But the english voiced person(a scouse accent), did tell me how much my next payment was going to be and when it was due.I replied that I would be making a payment at my bank. She seemed ok about that.
To be contacted less than five days later about the same thing did seem a bit odd..It felt like this call was off George...!..from by bank!..Have you seen Fonejacker? Enough said.
And now a call 24 hours later is what led me here.. I,m gonna answer it next time with some questions of my own.
Will try to find out who they are and post the response I receive.- Caller: ????????
- Beccyjust had a call from this number but never answer phone to numbers i don't recognise answermachine took call and they just hung up
- JULESHave been getting calls from this number often, so decided to ring Bank (Barclays). I was assured that this is nothing to do with them. Spoke to Banks Fraud Squad.
- KirstyThis number has been calling me at least 4 times a day, everyday for the past week starting from early in the morning claiming they are calling from Barclays with whom I bank with.
I just ignored the calls and spoke to my bank about it the other day. They assured me that when Barclays call their customers, whether they get hold of you or not, there is always a note that shows up on your file to say they've contacted or tried contacting you...and guess what...no note!!!!
They advised me to ignore the calls...i answered it today...because the amount of calls i was getting was rather annoying...i just asked them not to contact me again and put the phone down....and no more phone calls so far!!!!- Caller: Barclays
- NadaDrew, I would not bother to write here if I was with "them". I just know that number as that is where I got my temporary overdraft with Barclays sorted out. They are collectors (or maybe some contracted out company, I don't know), but they did sort it out for me, got the overdraft, followed by letter from Barclays confirming it. They also called each time a payment was due to reduce my overdraft as we agreed and - surprise (!) I can see on my statement that it is actually ok. I suppose it depends who you are speaking to, Maybe I was just lucky to speak to an advisor, who spoke clearly and was ton abusive and never forgot to call me back as we agreed. All I am saying is my own experience with this number, nothing else.
- Caller: Barclays?
- BDThis started last Sunday and has been consistently annoying every morning ever since. I understand it to be a scam or an opportunitistic call centre - shall we say. Similarly had a chat and one caller agreed in the futility of their continuing to dial - ex-Barclays customer and now even prouder of that fact than before!!
- beccythis number is from barclays they called the other night about my mums account and they knew all her details she gave them no information, and knew exactly how much money was in her account etc
- Caller: barclays
- MarcI have had calls from this number. They don't ring long enought to be able to pick up in time. I found out the number was 08453004275 by doing a 1471. It looks like it must be a ploy to get you to dial 1471 get the number (that just called) so that you call them back to find out who they are... what do 'they' get out of that?? except to disturb someone in their home and wast their time and money finding out who is calling??
- MarcIf anyone does speak to someone on this number please make sure you get the person's name, what company they are calling from, the address of their company, a valid number they can be reached at (the number they call from just has a stupid 'you were called from your bank' message when you call it back) and as many other identifying details that you can get. Then please post them up on this web site - thanks!
- MarcCable & Wireless own the number. They have a department to help people that are getting nuisance calls and they confirmed that these calls are coming from Barclaycard.
- Caller: Barclaycard
- EstI've been getting the calls for a couple of months - always at a time which isn't convenient. I figure that if it's important they'd leave a message. I finally answered when they rang on my lunch. I refused to give any details and they gave me my address to confirm my identity and told me they were ringing from my branch in Manchester. My branch is actually elsewhere... I asked them which branch it was and they couldn't answer the question.
I told them I couldn't give any information out as they couldn't confirm who they were. The guy's english wasn't very good and when I asked questions all he did was repeat the questions. If this really is Barclays bank I'd like to have words with themm about telling me my full address before confirming my identity and also about employing people to call customers without even knowing the language. - DCJust had a missed called from them. I was over my agreed overdraft limit so I called my bank to ask whether they had tried to call me, they hadn't...
- Caller: ?
- Don KingConsider me another victim of this mobile harrasment same poeple claiming to be from barclays asking for my details
scam do not pick up - Geoff EklundSick to F*** of these SH**Heads calling me about 8 times a day. Who are they though? I might just change my mobile number and screw them altogether. Especially when they get the "number not available message". That should shaft well and truly up the S*** Box.
- joanna nec-mowinskawho call me i dont know
- Caller: bank
- MikeCrazy - this number has been calling me non stop for weeks - Usually about 9am , 1pm and 5pm most days - i ignore it, mainly cause they call when i'm in work.
In the past when barclays have called me they have left a message on my voicemail saying to contact my branch - but no messages
I have to be honest and say i have both a braclaycard and barclays overdraft i owe/d money on - not much, i had two months payment on my barclaycard which was about £10 - nothing to warrant the amount of calls i receive - seriously if i owed them like £3000 and they were calling constantly fair enough! - anyway i have never bothered answering - i went into the branch on Monday and paid in money into both accounts and have the receipts and everything seemed ok - so as far as i'm aware i'm all square and i thought it would at least stop the phone calls.
It's now wednesday and i have had around 10 calls since i went to the branch. I had just assumed the number was calling me cause I owed them money - but i have now paid it in and they are still calling??? after reading this site it appears I'm not the only one getting harrased and i'm glad haha
IMO it will be a call centre that barclays outsource work to - they have a database and anyone with an acocunt or owe money or maybe have owed money in the past details will be on a database - i suspect this number is set the task by barclays to chase payment, or cold call to try and sell some sort of debt recovery service
I have a mate who works in the fraud dept for MBNA bank - i am going to email him a link to here and see what he comes back with
Also next time they ring I will try and answer it and see what they have to say - MikeMental - since i wrote the above post the calls have stopped haha
FREEDOM!!!! PEACE!!!! - nicky08453004275 BEWARE. i dont even bank with these. they have been contacting me on my parents house phone. they said they are barcleys and gave them a number to ring them, so i did to see what it was and it came up as 'your bank called you today and will call in 2 days' bit dodgy i think. i then found a barcleys bank phone number and rang them and they had nothing on me or even didnt know that number....#
nicky- Caller: 08453004275 barcleys+
- adrianits barclays. Trust me. I work for them.
- SophieI think if you all took a minute to answer the phone and listen to the operator, your query would soon be answered!! I've had a call from this number as i had missed a payment on my barclay's loan. They have to ask you your address etc to confirm they're talking to the right person. They cant divulge information to whom ever answers the phone!!
