Report a phone call from 08456125815 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- TobyHi All
Got a call from 08456125815 yesterday thought i would check em out b4 they call again. Glad to read Mandy's comments, it's reassuring, and yeah Mandy you're right, not all sales companies are 'scammers' as she puts it.
I have looked on the FSA sight and they are registered there and with Data Protection, it all checks out. It looks like M4u are a different company Vincent, i can't find anything linked to them.
Credit and Criticism where it's due, this 'Xennon' and 'secureaphone' are one ofd the same and are legit. The FSA site regulates them as 'insurance mediators'.
God the internet is good, at least we can check em out before we take products off them. And it seems on this one we are all being on hyper alert, they are one of the good guys.
Think i will buy, it is a good deal as Mandy will agree and it'll save me some wonga over the year, and we all need to save money. I will keep you posted with how i find their service etc.....- Caller: secureaphone
- JoslinI had a call yesterday from this number, I always check these things out before i go ahead. You would have to be a complete MORON to even think of giving yor details and your card details before you know who they are.
BUT LET ME LAY ALL YOUR MINDS TO REST. THIS FIRM IS LEGAL AND BINDING, THEIR POLICIES ARE UNDER WRITTEN BY EQUITY RED STAR, AND IF YOU HAVE HALF A MIND TO LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP TO YOU WOULD KNOW, THEY ''TAKE £44.99 AS AN UPFRONT PAYMENT TO COVER THE INITIAL IMMEDIATE SET UP FEE TO COVER THE FIRAT 3 MONTHS PAYMENTS AND TO COVER THE SET UP FEE, AND THEN THE POLICY IS £5.88 A MONTH FROM MONTH 4''.
It's quite simple guys you just need to listen and ask valid questions before you start slating firms on sites like this.
I agree with Toby above that to give credit where it is due, and it is due to this company. Of course as i said everyone should check these firms out before they purchase from them. It seems more than half you morons talk first and look into things later, either that or you work for a rival company like o2 or vodafone and don't like the fact that someone can offer a better deal than you!!!!!!
Well i have news for you guys it's a buyers market not a sellers, that time has come been and gone, and as for the rest of you, apart from the rare few do you actually know what you are going on about.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK.
Before you starts to spout, check it out. MORONS...........
There is nothing more i love than checking a company out to be legal and binding and coming back to the site to tell you so, why should you only hear of the few bad stories or stories of you lot who claim to know they are acting illegally, even though you haven't even spoken to them. By your own claims you just hang up.
Well done you, you really did them there.............- Caller: securaphone
- BobI got caught out by this company a couple of weeks ago and although they may well be "legit" they still use underhand tactics to get you to part with your money, so they ARE conmen.
I'm currently trying to get my money back but they are being very unhelpful. As with other people they have said that they can only refund £25 and that £19.99 is a non-refundable set up fee. I told them that under the Consumer Protection Distance Selling Regulations I can cancel my contract and am entitled to a full refund within a cooling off period, to which they said I would have to send a letter telling them these were my intentions. Unfortunately though, I have sent two letters (one by first class and one by recorded delivery) and neither seems to have been delivered (hmm, strange that, isn't it!). And yes, I did ask them for their current address. Then the next day after my last phone call with them I see that £25 has been credited to my account, which is certainly NOT what I asked for, I requested a FULL refund.
Furthermore, the company failed to send me any terms and conditions, so technically I was never under contract with them in the first place (you can't agree to terms and conditions if you haven't seen them, so you can't be under contract), so I am not covered for anything. However, if you did ever receive any I think you would probably find that you are covered for very little.
I suspect that after the first 3 months cover has expired, no further payments will be taken and you will again find that you are not covered for anything, but by that time it will be too late to get your money back. I might just be the one person in a million who has a bad experience with this company and everyone else is a satisfied customer, but I don't believe that for one second. Stay away from this company.- Caller: Xennon Marketing UK Ltd
- JamesI also believe that their tactics are very underhand in getting you to sign into their scheme.
When I received the call they made it seem as if they were my original insurance company. I had only taken out a new contract three days before and as far as I was aware only three people had my number Vodafone, Phones4u and Policy Admin.
I received a call from Policy Admin group telling asking me why I had cancelled my direct debit. I explained that one of their operators had instructed me to as they were lowering my insurance fee from £9.99 to £5.88 and the excess from £50 to £25. They told me I was wrong and when I said I was confused they put the phone down.
Well I check my statement to find out that indeed the Direct Debit to Policy Admin had been cancelled and I had paid Xennon a fee of £44.99. When I phoned them to cancel they instructed me that I was could cancel on this number 0208 9604005 but I couldn’t get a refund. This number is for Mobile Phone Supercover where apparently your insurance details are held.
I wrote to them demanding a full refund instructing them how I felt misguided by their operators and that I indeed didn’t want another insurance policy three days after taking out a new phone. They have refunded me only £25. I guess that lucky.
There must be a snitch somewhere selling people numbers to companies that operate in this tactful manner! I contacted Phones4U who are apparently aware of this problem and are investigating it, whatever that is suppose to mean.
Don’t pass out any of you details to companies like theses.- Caller: Xennon Marketing UK Ltd
- JoeHey. If you get a phone call from Xennon marketing and they offer you the deal for £5.88 just goto http://www.supercoverinsurance.com/ as its for that company and see if you can just do it directly. Im not sure if they have the £44.99 charge to start but its worth a try.
I did the silly thing of listening to Xennon marketing and paynig the £44.99 (which im sure they didnt tell me about) but when i didnt recieve any information through the post about the terms and conditions i phoned them up. If you think its dodgy try and do it within 14 days otherwise you wont get any of the £44.99 back.
Or, just be sinsible and stay with the one you got through the shop (Y) lol
Xennon Marketing are Northern though, and you all know what they are like!! ;) joke! - keelyI just got a call from 08456125815. I had a drunken person tell me if I had got bigger boobs yet! Presumably the lovelies at Xennon are having their Christmas party. Nice to see that not only are we tormented by these half-wits for business but they also see us as entertainment.
- dale nive just got my bank statement and checked it it says xennon markiting wats this as they have taken 44 99 out of my account please is this a leagal thing has anyone else had the same problem please will you let me know its something to do wid my mobile phone thanks ??????/
- FrankzI just got a call from this no. im on vodaphone now but used to be on o2 bought an unlocked phone from phones for you and refused the call.
- Chris DMy son has received a second call from this company despite my wife already telling them we are not interested. If you think they have misled you in any way you should complain to the Financial Services Authority www.fsa.gov.uk. I have done so, there is a straightforward oneline report form for "misleading advertisments". The selling of all insurance is strictly regulated by the FSA and they will investigate your complaint.
- ferelli had a call from this number and i just insured my ipod but it all seems fine i get calls all the time about broadband and stuff just say no if you dont want it innit!
- Caller: xennon
- Joe StainerSomeone else has had the same problem. Looks like a bad one.

- Caller: Venom?
- O2 customerI had a call from them today but they were not offering phone insurance. She identified herself as calling from UPI and said "you know all the publicity of banks overcharging their customers" I told her I didn't think they were if you managed your account correctly and she couldn't answer me so hung up.
First call I've had from them or any other marketing company as I've registered with TPS. I have been an O2 customer since June 2007- Caller: UPI
- Andy2 calls left on Answerphone. Something about reclaiming bank charges. I am registered with TPS so they should not be calling me.
Found this site through googling the number.
On their http://www.xennonltd.co.uk/reclaim.html website :
"For a one off payment of £49.99 you can have access to all the specialist help and advice you will need to reclaim your charges, we'll even write the letters for you.
As an added bonus we take nothing more from you, what you reclaim is yours - 100% of the reclaim amount"
Apart from the fact I don't have any bank charges the £49.99 for advice and a letter that can be easily found on the internet is a rip off. Dodgy company - avoid.- Caller: Xennon Marketing
- Sara SsekabuuzaThe number has now called me twice about my mobile insurance....i work for Vodafone..the call came through I answered it and then the call was silent..I called the number back and they advised that they had a list of number to call as i wanted to know where they got my number from this was on Friday 11/01 and i advised i worked for Vodafone and my insurance is free. They said oh ok and put the phone down, They rang me again today 14/01 I have called them back to find out more and have been on hold about 15 mins- not happy
- Caller: Venom
- SarahMy personal experience with this company is not a good one, regardless of what anyone else says. I have not received any policy documents or corespondence from themselves or equity redstar. I have had to take this matter to the Financial Ombudsman and advise anyone who is unhappy with how they have been treated to do the same, regardless of whether you have received part or all of the £44.99 of the intial payment back. It literally takes a few mins to lodge this complaint with the Financial Omudsman and get a reference number. Your bank cannot protect you if oyu give your card details out over the phone.
Go to www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk or tel: 0845 080 1800. They will investigate and write to the companies on your behalf. Fill in a form and post it to them. The more of us that do this the better it will be. I have found this experience very upsetting as I am normally very careful and sensible about buying things over the phone.- Caller: Xennon Marketing UK Ltd
- NaomiI took out a new contract with Vodafone this month - they rang this afternoon, but I hit ignore as the number looked dodgy
- MarkJust got a call from 08456125815 that I answered and they hung up.
- jamesi have had numerous calls from these people to which on 3 ocasaions i have told them to remove my number or be reported to ofcom. these people are still persistantly calling me 2 to 3 times a day i have now reported this issue to ofcom
- Caller: xenon communication
- NatalieIve just had a phonecall, if these people are professional then why do they hang up when you answer the phone. I never buy anything from companies that phone me up but if i did that would be one thing that put me off. I think its disgraceful.
