same, they call, but I didn't recognise the number and let it go to voicemail. "this is xenon comminications calling regarding your mobile phone" well... I've never heard of them, so no chance of ringing them back. I checked the number with google n found this page... I'd never buy anything over the phone. And for mobile phone insurance... my phone cost £40, itd cost more to insure it than to buy a new one.

If anyone wants the information, it's a vodafone, I bought it from Tesco a couple of months ago and got the call around 3pm.

I was left an (automated) voicemail message last night from "Xennon Communications", asking me to call back 'about my mobile phone' on 0845 612 5815.  (I've also just had a call from 0845 371 0506 but no-one spoke when I answered, then hung up - probably automated dialler in Xennon's call centre).

Have done some digging and the company concerend is Xennon Marketing UK Ltd of Alexandra House in Swansea - see www.xennonltd.co.uk.  Their main line of business seems to be flogging mobile phone insurance (among a few other less-than-useful ways of extracting cash from the gormless).

I assume they have my number from some database somewhere - I'm about to reach the end of my Vodafone contract, so presume they ring on assumption that this might mean it's the renewal date of existing phone insurance (or that you might want to insure a newly upgraded phone).

I can't say if they are dodgy or not, but usual rules apply as far as I'm concerned - NEVER NEVER get involved with buying something you don't need from someone who you don't know - especially when you haven't chosen to approach them, they've come to you completely unsolicited!

Wake up and smell the coffee, folks - if people call you and start the hard sell, ALWAYS say no thanks and hang up!

Guys your comments suck - wake and smell the coffee......Please give me a break nad type somethgin useful and informative.

I had a call from these guys, nothing much doing, they were trying to sell insurance for my mobile (which i already have so declined the offer).

Always wise to check out who you are buying off though.

Dont listen to the crap written ont hese pages, a lot of the comments consist of people who have been called and didn't want the product, but somehow think they know all about it.

I purchased some insurance from them thinking like others on here that I was dealing with Vodafone (I was half asleep at the time). I wrote to them asking to cancel and sent back the policy documents and got a FULL refund within a couple of days.
After reading most of these posts I thought I was in for a tough time but was glad to have it sorted out.
My fault to begin with I must admit but I'll be more cautious next time.

I got a ring from this company saying they were my insurance and knew i already had insurance from phones 4 u (where i got my new phone from) i was paying £9.99 a month and they said i could get it for £5 summat a month, I thought well thats alot better than what I was paying and as I thought they where from Phones 4 u I thought great....NO they weren't as i realised they took £80 out of my bank I rang them imediatly saying I wanted my money back they said with until you get your "paper work" for your referance number and ring back guess what NO "paper work" came. i rang them no joy again so i rang my bank they said we cant do anything because i gave them my bank deatils and made a instant payment, i also told vodafone they werent bothered im going to send them a letter to both xennon and FSA they govering body.

People shouldnt do this to other people its a SCAM and should be reported

I got a call from this Number, introduce himself as a Vodafone Company. As my Vodafone mobile insurance is about to expired I get the insurance at 4.99/ month on a monthly basis as I agreed. In my big surprise they took 79.99 on my account. Now I'm trying to contact them but their phone has been busy for whole day, can you believe that.
WARNING! Never take any insurance or make any transaction with this company!

These people are registerd with the FSA but they are still a con. They tell you they only need your bankcard or visa card to do a check to see if you are who you say you are! But they do not take your details off you to do a check its so they can take 80 quid or 44.99 out of your account for bollocks insurance!
I worked fo the company for at least 4 months and they are absolutley rubbish at they're jobs! They con peolple in2 thinkng that ther going to reduce their insurance to 4/5 pounds a month when actually they just want to con u out of ur money! customers would probably never see thy're documents! If they did ever recieve them the insurance would amount 2 nothing and u woud probably never get a claim out of them! They are full on con artists!
They even con they'ere staff out of money
i left the company as i couldn stan the bollocks they came out with 2 customers
So every1 this is a warning from a ex-employee of Xennon Marketing
    Stay Away!

if they scam you report them to your phone company the financial ombudsman and trading standards my girlfriend was scammed to the tune of £90 for two phones they said they were supercover insurance but she received a letter from xennon marketing saying the insurance was with them i reported them to everyone above she got her money back no probs. But she had to cancel her debit card so there would be no repeat performance i would advise everyone who has been scammed by this company to do the same and not to give bank details away over the phone

I was called by this company and offered mobile phone insurance. I gave my card details and then realised I had a better deal with vodafone  and told them i didn't want their insurance. 2 days later they tried to take a payment out of my account. There was no money in there so they called me back. I had a massive argument on the phone with a guy called simon who works in the cardiff office. again i told them no. I had a second call that day and 3 calls two days later. Today the cheek feckers have taken a payment for £44.99 from my account. TAMPING! I class this as theft. I had already reported them to the police for harassment so now am reportin them for theft.

A series of calls was left to the voicemail claiming to be from Vodaphone (my service provider) concerning my service.
When I returned the call, it was only a voicemail claiming to be from Xenon Marketing Company?: motives unknown.
    It sounds a bit "fishy"......

went 2 bank this morning 2 find £69.99 missing from my wifes account, works out this company xenon marketing went into my wife,s account and took the money, when i called this company i was told it was 4 phone insurance i never took out,i asked this guy i was talking 2 named dominic when i took this insurance out and his reply was he didi,nt know as they don,t have any record of it(which i find very dodgy).i told him if i had taken any insurance out(which i did not)they had no right to take it out of my wifes account has it was in my name not hers(which in my mind is theft).when im told him i want all the money back his reply was 2 claim it from the bank, and they pay the bank back.so 2 anybody who has a phone call from this dodgy company called xenon tell them politely 2 [***].

I had one call from someone who said they were from Vodaphone regarding insurance. I said I hadn't taken out any but found they have taken £44 then £59 within three weeks. I have reported them to my bank who are investigating them for fraud. At no point did I give them my bank details so they must be working with someone from within Vodafone. I am awaiting a call from my bank.

    This is unlawful
