    I keep getting not only telephone calls from Lowri Becks but letters as well, I am not an Npower customer, I have contacted my supplier with no results, I give my meter readings over the internet when they request them, I also keep telling all the people that phone me that I cannot hear them because I am deaf, I do not give my phone number out to anyone because I am deaf,all my friends and family email or text me because I am deaf now Lowri Becks has my mobile number and tried to phone me, I CANNOT HEAR< I only have email and Texts, I cannot seem to be able to tell them politely to stop bothering me so perhaps you will

    Just received a phone call asking for up to date gas and electric meter reading for a property I left in October 2013!!!!  Should I drive over and ask the present owners for the readings? I was with N Power so why is my number still connected to that address?

    Told me the meter numbers but at 5pm do they honestly think I am going outside to read meters in the dark.

    They just called me again. I have blocked their number on my mobile.

    Unwanted call at 19:35 just as putting the kids to bed. Stated he was from npower. No mention of affiliate company. Asked for meter reading. I said no. It's dark. He said he'd call back when it was light. I said no. Put your request in writing or send an engineer to read the meters. He said ...we will charge you to send an engineer...I said...

    If npower want my meter readings, come and read my meters. That is all. I will NOT tolerate this inappropriate invasion of my privacy and WILL be changing my energy supplier.

    Thinking of buying a cow. Methane is easy to harvest and can power a turbine to generate my own f....ing electricity

    When this happened to me a year or so ago my electricity supplier investigated my complaint and found that the meter reading company was saving themselves money by just phoning for readings from customers instead of sending out meter readers.  I was never a customer of npower, so maybe it is common in the industry.

    Why all the fuss, just block the number and inform your supplier that you will only deal with them and no 3rd parties

    The caller said he was calling on behalf of Good Energy - time 17.33 hours - day, Friday 20.01.2015.  He said he was calling from the Wigan office of Good Energy, requesting meter readings.  He said the call was a new security measure! -
    and would be calling twice a year so the next one would be about 6 months time.
    I was unable to confirm his legitimacy as Good Energy is only open to the public from 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.  I shall call Good Energy on Monday morning to ascertain the situation!

    Received a call from 084557023461, asking for my electric meter reading, as I have my own electricity company, who is the above and how have they got my telephone number.  I will not call this number or leave a meter reading, my reading is non of their business!. RB

    As I live alone I am careful about who has the right to enter my home.  I have an online account and  submit my meter readings online to Co-op Energy so why does anyone else need to read my meters?.  I thought that an online account was just that.

    If you check the conditions of the contract you have with Co-op Energy you will see that it requires your meter to be read by their Agent once or twice a year, while a "safety check" is carried out at the same time.

    Unfortunately they have chose Lowri Beck as their Agent.

    Equally unfortunately Co-op Electricity do not understand the Data Protection Act and provide Lowri Beck with their customers' numbers.    For their part Lowri Beck have been known to make a phone call rather then send anyone to read the meter or do the "safety check".

    They are legitimate, contacting us to collect our electricity and gas readings on behalf of the Co-op. Perfectly polite and helpful when I queried their reason for calling.

    Wouldnt let them through the door if there legit or not! As to the comment let the poor guys in to do there job!! How about f**k off no, no one comes through my door without my say so or a court order!

    Why if this outfit is working for my supplier unable to put the serial numbers of my meters on the card, or when they ring name my supplier ?. Dodgy or pure idleness , either way they're not getting my info to play with.

    Called requesting details as others have put before me.  I submit via email request to an email address from my supplier and no one else.  This is nuisance call and should be stopped
