I work for o2. The calls being received are from the o2 outbound centre. We make numerous outbound calls. Welcome calls to run through your tariff and services on the phone (voicemail, mms, web etc) Upgrade calls when your eligible to upgrade, tariff calls if your bills are high so we can suggest another tariff and calls to offer you a deal if you have called to disconnect previously.

The calls to offer insurance deals are not from us. They are normaly companys like phones 4u and carphone warehouse trying to sell their services. They would have your number from when you connected with them.

O2 insurance is £6 or £7.50/mth for standard/premier. Any other insurances are via the above stores.

I had a call from them today when I was art work, they asked me to set up a pin number, I cut them off. I had loads of call s last week as soon as I inserted my sim card, they withheld their number, they said that they have a cheaper deal on insurance than the one I set up in the shop, I said I was interested, but then they asked for my bacnk details so, I hung up.

only got my O2 contract last wednesday but this number keeps on ringing me but yet i've got mobile phone insurance already.

i m getting calls from these no n no one speak

Have bought a new contract phone and recieved a call from this number. I am with O2 so looking at the last comments it is probably them-however I have insurance so I don't see why I should be getting a call?

Just put my SIM card in for new O2 and blow me down in less than 24 hours three different numbers (I didn't answer any, checked on internet first)all insurance!!!

This bloody number phones me about 2-3 times a day, mostly at inconvienient times when I'm working or in bed. B*stards.

Ive had 5 calls from this number today! I got my O2 contract on saturday and the calls started today... great(!)

I keep receiving calls from this number literally everyday, i don't answer it for the simple reason it's an 0845... number. Don't they get the message I don't want to talk to them?!

I requested my PAC code from o2, which I received, and then got a phonecall from this number on my home landline.
It was the o2 retention team making me an improved offer to stay with them.
Called 202 from my mobile and the operator confirmed all the details of the offer that the retention team had made to me.

Seems legit enough although why an 0845 number is beyond me.

getting this number calling me every day now, round about the same time - anything i can do as its pissing me off ?

im getting this number call me about 3 times a day but i havent blocked it just hoping they give up iv had my contract for over a year now. if it was important they would leave a voicemail.

i got an o2 contract and missed 6 calls from these people,
they rang back soon after and i answered it, its 02 asking
you if everything is ok with your new phone and contract,
but then suprisingly they ask you if you want to add anything
to your contract and try selling you insurance, then they send
you a annoying survey you have to fill out :@ but the bloke i
actually spoke to was friendly but went on and on and on!

Have had four calls from this number already today but nobody speaks when I answer! It must be O2 because I called them yesterday saying I wanted to cancel my contract with them - no doubt they're trying to get me back (or just freaking me out because I'm no longer a loyal customer!)

just had this reply from O2 when i said I would cancel my contract if it was them sending the phone call...

IVe had a new phone with 02 for 7 days, the first 3 days into the contract got a phone call from this number 08458630287 telling me to take out cover for the phone otherwise my contract could be suspended.

I told 02 about this and they said they would look into it.

What worries me most is the fact the caller knew most of my details, eg what phone i had and how long my contract was for and which contract i was with.

MYSELF I THINK THERES SOMEONE OR SOME PEOPLE ON 02 SIDE GIVING OUT PRIVATE INFO TO THIRD PARTIES!!! which is against the LAW.

Theres no reason why someone should know who im with and what phone and contract length im on.

Basicly its a scam, but i think its a scam from inside 02 itself.

Im going to e-mail fair trading standards and report this.

I just contacted watchdog, as O2 dont seem to want to do anything about this.

Iv had my o2 contract for about 3years now and this number just started calling me like 3weeks ago?! its very strange! im overseas so i never answer it, and now they have been calling with private number! its so annoying! Gonna take everyones advise and contact o2. cheers guys and gals

Same as many on here i've just got a new O2 contract and they have tried to ring me so deffanitly looks as though it is O2.

Got a call from this number and liek a few other comments here....no answer.  I just hope it didnt charge me a ridiculous amount for answering
