Received call from this nomber about upgrade....
Phoned O2 and they told me that it is O2 phoning!!!!!

Rang O2 two days ago for an upgrade. I have had two calls from this number since then.

Last week I thought of renewing my contract along with an upgrade phone with 02 as my existing contract is due to end.I got a call from this number 08458630287 claiming they were 02 & asking would I like to upgrade? During conversation I became suspicious.At one point I mentioned that I was interested in 02 broadband for the home & they hung up.I do believe that this is a scam & fraudently claiming to be 02.I'am still recieving calls from this number frequently at all hours of the day.These callers are the pits!!

The best thing to do is not to answer the phone if you don't have the number on your list.  I never answer a call if a name on my list doesn't come up,  that way you avoid any problems.

Ive been with 02 for over a year and ive only just recently started receiving calls form 08458630287 they never leave messages and ring almost every day

I just reported this number to O2 via email, as i have just taken out a contract in the last 24 hours and been called 6 times already. As a rule i never answer a message i don't know. Anyway, i got the following response only 5 or 10 minutes later (the speed is unusual and i wouldnt expect such a fast reply):

Thanks for emailing us about the calls you're receiving from 08458 630 287.

I'm sorry we don't call our customer unless our customer request for a call back in relation to their account. If you're receiving calls from 08458 630 287, please don't disclose your account details to them. This is because your account can be misused

i rang this number back after continually getting a missed call from them. i too had just updated my o2 contract and when i rang the msg said something like "this is a courtesy call from o2. if everything is ok you do not need to contact us but if u are having any problems call 202 free from your handset". so i rang 202 and after pressing several buttons on the automated system got thru to a person. she said that o2 are 0870 NOT 0845. but she said there are some scam companies who show up as 0845, and if they ever ring again dont answer or just hang up right away because they cld be charging ME for the call. i just had to write this on here to warn ppl not to get scammed.

0845 863 0287.. this number has been calling me at least twice a day for the last 2 weeks, I never answer calls to numbers I dont know.

My contract with O2 is up for renewal however they assuremethat they have corresponded with me by email only.  Annoyed that my details have been given to an external company.

This is definitely O2, I'd recommend answering it......I'm due for an upgrade, they rung to tell me this and see what they could offer me. They were really helpful as I'm waiting for a specific handset to come out, so in the mean time they've reduced my monthly tariff, and let run on a monthly basis instead of tying me into another contract until the phone is released. I'm saving £15 a month plus getting unlimited texts which will save me another £20 quid a month!

if there are so many complains isnt there some authority than can do something about it, obviously this agency is harrasing O2 clients. May be O2 is part of it, like a 3rd part who gets a commission, otherwsie they would have done something to protect there brand igame.

I got This call Twicee and No one awnsereed so i hung up!

I had a call from this number today, it IS O2... Just answer it and be done with it, or they will probably just keep calling until you answer... (mine was a new contract...)

my just got a call from them today didnt pick up, my o2 contract ends next month so it may be them. but then i keep getting calls from all kinds of mobile companies now my contract is coming to an end

I'm getting calls from this number four to five times a day, they go to my answer service then leave no message. I haven't answered so don't know who they are but they won't leave me alone.

I had a call from this number today, unlike T-mobile, a lady by the name of Harriett spoke with regards to welcoming me to O2 as i just switched from T-mobile last week.

They did'nt mention anything with regards to Insurance, just spoke about what benefits I could get out of O2 and how things work and freebies that I am entiled to.etc
