- dave12In Response to Tracie B's comment the 0845 number is 100% o2, i dont understand why you and others wont beleive it when so many people on here have said they have proof of it being o2, weirdo.
- Caller: o2 o2 o2 o2 o2 o2 o2 o2 o2 o2
- stuartsame here. got an 02 contract 3 days ago. and this number has started calling me.... god knows
- GemmaI had loads of calls when I first got my O2 contract. Nothing to worry about. It is just them calling to check that everything is going okay. It even says that when you call them back in the usual O2 automated style, and i quote...
"This was a courtesy call from O2 to check all is well and to ask whether there's anything we can help you with. There's no need to call us back unless you have a query, in which case call 202 free from your O2 mobile"
They gave up after a while anyway.- Caller: O2
- JamesYesterday I was due for an upgrade but O2 offered me a terrible deal so they changed me from the £35 contract to the £30 simplicity tariff but charging £20. I then called them back in the afternoon to cancel as I've just ordered a new contract with Vodafone.
I had this number call me just now but I was on my office phone. So basically I've cancelled my O2 contract (due to close 2nd October) and have had this call. Possibly trying to get me to stay, who knows. - mr-los-philosi dunno if it's just to new customers, i started my contract in november, that's 10 months ago now...
- EmmaI've had 3 calls off this number in the last 2 days. Thankfully everytime i've been busy or missed the call. I'm also on O2 and changed from pay as you go to a simplicity contract only a week ago.
From reading other comments i think it might be best to just ignore the calls. - SimonI've just got new O2 sim and got calls from same number. It is a welcome from O2. Read this link.
http://customerforum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t ... 53fec200a4185dc - JimThis is 02, when they called they were just welcoming me to my new contract with them and talking me through it.
- Caller: 02
- DannyI have been with 02 for about 10 months my upgrade is not due until March 2009 I have called them and confirmed as I wanted the new iphone - I digress. I am called almost twice a day for the last 3 weeks. It is a little strange all the info on this forum is conflicting, some saying it's a courtesy call others saying they were conned. I like 02 as they hardly ever call even if I have to pay my bill I get an email, text etc saying I need to pay and then do so I hardly have to speak to anyone. I say go with your intuition. I mean when you call the number back it does not even take you through to anyone like other companies would if it was them that are calling. They usually request you call them back to discuss this or that.
Ignore the calls if it persisits contact 02 they have a number you can call to have companies who may have your info - to stop this company from calling.
For those who have said it is 02 for all we know you work for this company, when you take out phone insurance possibly this company gets hold of your info as a third party and use the fact you are an existing 02 customer to entice you to use their products.
DONT TRUST IT DON'T GIVE OUT PRIVATE INFO! CALL 02 and double check otherwise ignore the calls! Buyer be ware.- Caller: 08458630287
- RobI missed a call from this number, but my situation is different yet again.
I just started a brand new contract with O2 through the Carphone Warehouse. I haven't even received the new phone yet...it should arrive tomorrow or later today.
I phoned 02 up after having starting said contract to request the PAC code from my old contract so I could move the number over, and to cancel my old contract. I got the call on my old O2 phone (the one i am cancelling), so i'm guessing it was to persuade me to stay, and that they did not realise I have already started a new contract with them... Who knows...!- Caller: probably o2
- ChrisJust bought an 02 contract phone and same day had two missed calls from this number.
- NickyGot a new O2 contract last week and I've had a couple of calls today from this number; missed them both unfortunately so can't add any more info. I'm pretty sure it's just O2 welcoming, if they ask for any private information I'd just offer to go into my nearby branch and give them it in person. to be fair, they called YOU and so should know your information.
- TonchiDecided to leave O2 after a dispute over roaming charges (£92 to send one email of 0.6MB and billed as 15MB!).
Anyway received a call today but sadly could not pick up. I don't understand why people are avoiding this number??Surely better to find out and put your mind to rest!
Why aren't they calling me anymore!!! - SteveLast week, I cancelled my O2 contract, requested my PAC code from them and have had three calls from this number today. I didn't answer but was waiting to try this site when I got home. Thanks for the info people.
- BillySame with Steve above,
cancelled my O2 contranct and requested PAC 2 days ago. signed vodafone contract yesterday and transfering number with the PAC i got.
Got about 5 calls from this number today. picked up all of them but no one actually spoke to me, they just disconnected the call after a few seconds.
en.......
a bit strange - SteveTo follow up on my comment - I answered the call and there was a bit of a delay but eventually someone spoke. I guess they weren't expecting me to answer again? Anyway the guy on the phone was from 02 and following up my cancellation from last week.
I told him that the deal was done with Vodafone already and my phone was ordered but he said that if I didn't use the PAC and kept my number on then I would get 200 anytime mins, 400 texts and FREE line rental for 10 months!!! After the 10 months I would only pay £10 per month for the remaining 8 months.
I've asked him to put it all in writing and send me it to check the small print but it does seem a good offer and suitable for a back up phone? - KrisWell I emailed customer support and got the following reply
