- ParrYep, had the same call twice. But I've had my contract for about 8 months...
- GaryI have just received a call fro this number saying I can get a free upgrade or £100. I have just upgraded to an iphone so thought this was a bit strange. I call O2 on 202 and they verified this number was that and they even had the name of the girl who called me.
Looks like this is 100% O2. - phili have been on o2 for about 5 yrs now...recently however i keep getting calls from this number. 3 maybe 4 a day.
- EmmaI've just had a missed call from the number you're all discussing, I answered it on thursday and they said they wanted to talk about my renewal options for my current contract. I told them what I wanted to to but wasn't planning on doing it there and then and said I would call them...
I got a little suspicious when I was speaking to this guy on the phone because it was very quiet in the background and normally a call centre like o2's would have lots of people chattering in the background. Also I've never had a call from o2 before telling me about my renewal options, only people calling from other phone companies trying to get me to switch with a better deal.
Best thing to do when and if you answer is to ask to be taken off their call register as half the time their computer's automatically dial a contract number at random then store it. That's the only way I could get nuisance calls to stop before and this is the first one I've had in over two years during my 4 years with o2.- Caller: "o2" - supposedly
- LDJust had a call from this mumber...claiming to be 02.
They have been calling at least 4 times a day.
On answering the call, they just asked if they could confirm account details. When I said there had been no change to my account - they just said okay. that is fine. Is this no. a scam?- Caller: 02
- joannaI've had 3 missed calls today - but i'm not on o2 - am on Vodafone!!
- shashifind out please
- sarahi had a call from this number but i have been with 02 fro about a yr now on my contract - they said that i had been disconnected and they knew my dads name who opened the contract next time they ring im goin too start getting rude and shouting and im sure they will leave me alone lool
- GotscammedI just got scammed by a guy who claimed he was with in insurance company to do with carphone warehouse. his no. is 07846943388. he talk the talk, and i fell for it.
im soooo angry, he took £90 under the name 'Bluetooth Services' from swansea.
Anyone have any idea what steps i should take now.
Why the Police trace and catch these guys before they do more damage. - JJI bet all these contracts are from Phones 4 u as well!
I've had this problem with companies calling me so got my number changed and am still having the same problem. - the harpi requested a pac code yesterday and told o2 i was leaving cause they weren't doing the nokia n96. after they were akward they gave me the pac code. that number keeps calling. i have a feeling its o2 retention trying to persuade me not to leave o2!
- Caller: o2
- iiSCAM!!! they want to get my details, and O2 never does that! can the police stop these guys? not polite either, hang up the phone straight away when I said "not interested".
- annoni just got a call rom this number too asking if i wanted to review my 02 package
- SheepieI have just got a contract with O2 and this number keeps callig me about twice a day....I'm getting fed up of it.
I haven't answered it yet....maybe I should and tell em to knob off.- Caller: Dunno
- mirandaI just had a call and i just ended my contract with O2 since im going to orange and i seriously do not have time for this since they are bothering me at work.
- RachelI have just changed my phone from an O2 pay and go to a contract. I got a call from this number today. The bloke said he was from O2 and was just wanting to check I had the right settings etc. Then he asked me for my address- he did seem to have it in front of him as when I said I wasn't happy to give it he told me the sum of my house number and the sum of the numbers in my postcode. Once I had given him my address he then asked me how much I was paying. I said I wasn't happy to continue as he should know how much I am paying if he is from O2. I am now a little concerned about who I have given my address to.
- wakhad several calls from this number (usually two per day, 10/11AM & 6/7 PM)
i answered one without checking the number first, on the other end was somebody called lucy, claiming to be from O2.
thats as far as i got before hanging up, as i am prone to outbursts of rather fascist ranting, and would prefer it to happen in the form of an annoyed forum message rather than abuse just one individual, who is just doing a job (plus i also like to upset people, so it wouldn't be advisable to start hurling all kinds of abuse down the phone)
but one of these days i will set my imagination free upon one unsuspecting tw@. it will either just be a piece of music i like(something anti-religous should offend most), or a sample of something rather gruesome from a movie (choking would suffice) or maybe just a good old painful feedback loop - wakdoing a google search for this number brought up another result, making this number look like a legitimate O2 call

i may actually talk to them reasonably the next time they call, as i am wanting to change some details anyway, and i'll see what they have to say, plus i'm in a way better mood than i was a few days ago - larranI literally just got a call from them a few minutes ago asking to confirm my details as i took a contract out a few days ago also, i fobbed them off though saying i didnt have time because about a week ago the same thing happened to my friend taking out a contract with o2 and being scammed for this welsh bloody insurance thing, even though shes reported them to 02 and her banks they still ring her nearly every day asking for the same thing!
- Andyi've had my mobile for about 3 years an they still call, my best advice is to tell them your with the TPS (telephone preference service) an they'll stop callin. i did a couple of days ago an haven't recieved a call since
