Allen you say, "we are a legitimate company following all the rules and regulations of the trade".  Why then is the calling people who have registered with the Telephone Preference Service which any legitimate telesales company would not do.
When I said I would be reporting them the caller gave me the number etc and did not seem to have any knowledge of the TPS.
Apart from that I don't have a SKY box so knew it was a con.
I really think this is fraudulent especially preying on elderly people and something should be done about it.

Skylite is the worst company ever! I worked there for 6 months! And like John said they do employ 16-20 year old and the company opens from 12pm-8pm.
They are in Norbury in Winsor House and the managers are Brother Shameer (who is disabled) and Sister Farah!
Whilst I worked there they were under the watchful eye of Watch Dog and I myself are currently suing the company as they are not registered with Inland Revenue.
They do not work alongside Sky at all and rarely handle any Sky breakdowns. On many occasions did we all order pizza from Dominoes opposite with the card details that we were given!
They company should get closed down!
I don't understand why ppl like "Allen" are trying to defend the company - all that needs 2 be known is for noone to trust this company what so ever!

I was a wee bit worried because of the quite bad reports about Skylite..I had taken out their insurance last November...but I had a fault with my box...I rang them on Thursday last and got through right away, they told me someone would ring and arrange an appointment either Friday or Monday..the engineer rang Saturday morning, made appointment for between 9 and 11 on Monday(today)..he turned up around 10 ..adjusted the dish, updated the software on the Sky+, and generally checked the connections..and everything seems fine...and I didn't have to pay him anything..so perhaps the other people had a bad day

Skylite made an unsolicited call to me on 24 Mar and INSISTED they called on behalf of BSkyB. I am registered with TPS. I complained to Skylite - and I also complained to Sky. Today I got another unsolicited call from Skylite. Once again they insisted they represent Sky. I again complained to them - and again complained to Sky. This time I told Sky I will cancel my subscriptions if they do not take immediate action.
I suggest that anyone who gets such misleading, lying calls from Skylite complains to Sky and cancels their subscription if Sky does not act.

This guy who is stating that he has received a good service is ACTUALLY FROM SKYLITE! I can confirm that as he has written the same statement on this website trying to convince people they are good http://www.bview.co.uk/listing/2014245/Skylite-Ensured-Ltd-in-SW16

I think if you all had valid complaints you would have taken them through the proper channels. Seems that people who place complaints on these blog sites have no cause to complain, as they just have not read the terms and conditions. Perhaps if you channelled your anger into positive activities you may achieve something worthwhile.

I always thought that complainers who do nothing are worse than the thing they are complaining about, get a life and enjoy it, then you won't waste it on these sites. Siobhan, I notice that you have admitted to fraud! Quite a clever way of trying to expose something!

Wish I had seen this comments page before.  Skylite Ensured are still ringing people and sound plausible - I thought it was SKY, and we have had our equipment for years, so I 'updated' them with my details.  I admit to being stupid - NEVER give your details has been drummed into me for years, yet I still did it. Our account has been debited by £60.  I am contacting our bank, but will also contact SKY and try to reach Skylite Ensured asking for an engineer to come out.... that should be a laugh.

my 89 year old grandmother had a call last night from these and although she told them she had cover and paid by direct debit they confused her so she gave them her card details. When she rang me last night to tell me I was so annoyed as I have also had this company call me in the past and I have told them straight away that my warranty was current and hung up on them. I have had to cancel her credit card today as they have already applied for the £6, thank god it was no more as they originally asked her for £99 for the year. I am going to report them because I am disgusted that they use these tactics on vunerable elderly people.

I ahve been called many time times by this company, and last time they were foolish enough to leave their number and an alternative on my answer phone.
Many thanks to this forum for identifying the culprits as my number is registered with the TPS they have committed a crimial act under the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 initaillay make a complaint to the TPS at http://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/Default.aspx before escalating to the Office of the Information Comissioner or the Police.

If you believe that this is a scam, which I do, you can also report them to tradings standards at https://secure.consumerdirect.gov.uk/reportascam.aspx

The stupidity of this company is that on the first call I told them I did not have a Sky Box and that I was registered with the TPS and if they had not called me back each week for the past 2 months and then left their number on my answermachine, I might not have bothered reporting them. Bottom line is though unless several people report them then authorites will not act.

Skylite Ensured are a legitimate company.

I have contacted TPS and they have stated that it is the marketing companies that provide the information to Skylite Ensured that are committing th offence and not Skylite Ensured.

After I had spoken to TPS I signed up for the service and actually found out that everything was above board. I've asked for callbacks and they have been done, I've needed an engineer and he called and came to fix my problem in the alloted 3 working days.

Just because companies cold call it doesnt mean they are a scam. Some people probably need to do some research and take a gamble instead of always trusting reviews of people that never took the service.

J Evans is wrong it does not matter if a marketing company supplied the name and number of someone on the TPS list, the person making the call is committing the offence under the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and by vicarious liability the company Directors are taken to court. Although they have committed an offence under the act in the first call. The second and subsequent calls compound the offence after they have been told to not to call again.

Yes, they are still going strong. I had a call last night - in Lincolnshire - but was out. My friend, with whom I share the house, answered the phone and had to promise that I would ring back. I have never had a breakdown cover with Sky - or if so it was in the far depths back in time - and certainly have no record of one being debited from my bank account. I am very pleased that I looked up Sky Breakdown on Google and then keyed in this number. But no way would I give my credit card details to an unknown company.

I paid £60 in November to insure my Sky+ box, thinking it was with Sky.  Now that I need them, they don't answer, only music playing.  I have reported it to my credit card company but they say it is too long ago to get my money back,

Same story here. Asian sounding man phoned tonight saying my sky cover had expired. I never took out any sky cover. Said he needed by debit card details to restart the cover. He gave me the 0870 7777375 number to call to check on him but I checked on here instead. He's supposed to be ringing back in 10 minutes. If he does I'll tell him I've found out wat he's up to.
