Report a phone call from 08707777375 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DavidI had the call this afternoon. Asian sounding man wanting my credit or debit card details to renew my Sky maintenance contract. Didn't tell him I don't have Sky. Told him I would ring back in about ten mins. He said to ring before 3pm as he went off duty then. Gave his name as Razi. I have informed the Police.
- SuspiciousHad a call apparently from Sky which initially sonded plausible, but as the call went on it became obvious that the girl called Cheryl was simply after my credit card details for a cheaper maintenance contract only available via the phone. I told her I was not happy and she suggested calling her back to verify the call was genuine and gave me the 0870 7777 375 number to call back. She said she would give me an authorisation code to check with my bank, but only after giving her the credit card details. I checked the number on whocallsme.com and found the answer! It is a very dishonest scam and I am surprised Trading Standards are not on their case and haven't closed them down. They are liars and operating a con. I am going to take this further and have warned all my friends and business colleagues.
- Nadeem| 1 replyMy Wife got phone call today from skylite, similar story said from sky, offered warranty repair, the account is on my name and unfortunaley persuaded her to give her card details. Just cancelled the card, luckily they haven't debited the card, however she's got to go throught the hassle of waiting for the card. Company misrepresented themselves and said they were from SKY what a CON. They need to be investigated by trading standards.
- John WJust had a call from these jokers. A Mr B. Ali. Told me my sky insurance was about to expire and I needed to renew. I dont have any dealings with this company so I was a little confused....."Am I new customer or an existing customer?" I asked him......"a new customer whose details had been falgged by Sky". what a load of ...ahem bollxxx.
We are TPS as well so perhaps I need to call them to pursue this bunch of villains.- Caller: Skylite Ensure
- alihi guys i work for skylite i can tell u that since the day i have joined this company they have grown tremendously and also have intoroduced the parameters of compliance and quality to ensue that all the tele agents are speaking the same lanquage and not misguiding or misleading the customer. As far s the payment details r concern we do not have any information in our records to update in our system but this is to start a frest debit system from your credit card or debit card as we take care for the maintenance of your sky equipments. The company is not a fraud nor a scam as the people been saying about the company......but shame on the employer/owners that they dont come in open and speak about the fact of the company to rest of the world.

- LeeJust got a call from these guys. They told me about my warranty expiring and asked me if I was currently having any problems with my Sky+ box. As it happens I am, so they ran through the costs of replacing the box (over £200). They then told me I could get it fixed under their warranty, all I had to do was pay the £60pa insurance fee and wait 2 weeks before logging the call. I was about to take them up on the offer but got cold feet when I remembered THEY had called ME, not the other way around. To be fair, they did say they were "Skylite" when I asked and also gave me this number to call for verification. To be honest giving me the number was a bit of a mistake as a quick google brought me here. Glad I didn't do it.. I nearly did! :-)

- Wendy Downing| 2 repliesIn November I was called by a female who led me to believe she was front Sky. My Sky insurance was due to expire and she said that if I paid for a full year up front it would save me over £20. I was unsure at first but after a few minutes, I decided to pay £60 up front. I paid with my M & S credit card so therefore I had to give my details. I never thought anything else about it until I was checking my M & S statement and found that an amount of £60 had been credited in the name of 'Skylite Ensured 08707777376 Gbr'. I then checked my bank account and found that Sky was taking out a monthly amount by Direct Debit which I had set up with Sky in November, 2008.
I contacted Sky and they stated that they were aware of rogue companies doing this type of thing in their name. I have tried to contact this company by phone. I have opted for Customer Services and also Service problems and every time I just get music playing and no answer. M & S Money are now looking into this for me.- Caller: Retired A4X9
- CardiffChickGot a call from Sky Lite today with the same pitch....maintenance contract has run out blah blah blah.....took number to call back as we already have a service contract with Sky Protect which covers our 3 boxes! Have not long had the renewal documents and explained as long as we are happy we just let the policy keep running so not sure why they are calling us? Richie Lee explained that it was the norm for them to call us every year but I don't recall them calling before....when I said we are with Sky Protect, he claimed they were their sister company but we should still swap to Sky Lite as they could save us money! At £7.50pm to cover 3 boxes, I wasn't about to give any details over the phone to save 62p pm over my existing cover.......SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

- AnthonyGot a number of calls recently which my wife told them I was not available. Pressure was put on her to give credit card details. After 2 weeks of him calling aggresivly I got top talk to him today. Indian man, gave Sky Lite name and said they were affiliated to sky to carry out maintainance on there equipment. Also from Cardiff as I expect post above is.Must target specific areas. Can't believe how long this has been going on without investigation!!!
- CHRIS EXETERUnsolicited call even though I am registered with Telephone Preference Service.
Stated it was from Sky and maintenance contract due, as it was due did not think it not genuine, paid £60, contract promised in 7 days and 7 days to cancel, never received despite requests. Now realise it is a scam. I maintain that this was an offence under the Theft Act of obtaining money by deception, have made a complaint to Trading Standards and police of the area of their office. - GaryI have been plagued with calls from this company for several days now. Both my wife and I are fortunate enough to work in Financial Services and so understood that the spin we were being given about being asked to provide information for "verification" purposes would sound sensible. But also that the level of detail we were asking for was not appropriate. During each call we have stuck to a very simple line, which I would recommend to anyone. "If you are saying that my cover is expired, you must already have payment details. Please take the money from that account." They then start banging on about how you need to make the first payment by debit or credit card but eventually give up when you insist on them using the information you have.

- Its not koshaI used to work at skylite ensured til about a month ago. And when they SAY your breakdown Cover has JUST expired, wot there reffering to which they do not tell you is the initial warrenty that you would have had when you had taken out your sky system. They dont no when your breakdown cover has expired. Most of the people I spoke to didnt evan have sky. And yes it is mostly Asian people. I was the only white British person on the floor and I was discriminated by the asians. It was a horrible place to work, and a big fat scam. I only lasted a month, due to the fact I felt sooo guilty for doing this job, im now fundraising for different charities and love it. word of Advice. IF ANYONE gets a phone call from them, REPORT IT to the police, and offcom, The company dont evan have a Registration Number.
- CCI have just got power of attorney over my father's account and noticed a payment of £6 that had gone from his account in December and again in January. Managed to get through to the company and they said my father had set up the account in December. He has Alzheimers and doesn't even know how to use the phone anymore. Found out they had cold called my dad's partner and also used the line of contracts coming to an end and somehow persuaded her to give my dads card details although she can't remember doing this. I insisted on complaining to a supervisor and was told they would ring me back ...no call. I have however received a reply to an email and they now say they cannot find the account. Dad also is registed with TPS so have infd them they have firstly acted illegally through this and are complicit with fraud in taking money from his account without his knowledge. His partner was under a lot of stress at the time as Dad was really ill...absolutely disgusted with them and even more so now I have found these forums. I will be contacting his bank and cancelling his card so no more payments can be taken.

- ALAN PLYMOUTHHad similar problems, no contract received, ignored telephone and e mail requests for refund, eventually sent a letter detailing offence of unsolicited calls,(offence may be from marketing company)as I was signed up to telephone preference company. Offence under the Privacy & Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regs 2003 which are enforced by Information Commissioner. I have made a complaint to them and they are dealing. Letter to Sky Lite pointed out offences under Trade Description Act and obtaining property by deception under The Theft Act. I gave them 7 days for a refund or complaints would go to Trading Standards and Police. Surprise surprise it worked a full refund appeared in my bank account today
- cwoodI wrote earlier to say how I had been misled by this company and that I paid for warrenty when I already have cover though Sky. I contacted the company and complained I also put this in writing. I was contacted by Skylite saying the money would be put back into my account and it was. I think some of the staff would go to any length to get custom which is wrong and they are not the only ones doing this. I dont know what standard of service they provide but by using underhand tactics for a sale I wont be finding out. I also find it a bit rich that when people put in complaints about this company we are racist, thick, unemployed and waiting for death. I couldnt care less what colour people are they could be green but I do care about staff conduct which as this site has shown is shocking to say the least.
- sarahwowww..... i am so surprised looking at these statements.. i have been working with this compnay since 2 months and didnt knw anything like that, no doubt company is tooo small and first day when i came for interview i almost made up my mind not to work with them bt still have to work as dnt hav any option at the moment. only thing i dnt understand is why people is so much annoyed bcz i hav had training for almost everything. they can sack people if you say that we are calling from sky...never heard anyone sayiong this....i am pretty sure that this company is not scam bt first name of the compnay (sky)is same with sky and thats where the company holders played a game.

- PaulSkylite Ensured is still operating. I had a phone call a few weeks ago and they said my Sky Warranty had run out etc. They wanted a first payment of £6.25 and they would write to me and I would have thirty days to cancel and if I cancelled I would get a refund. I paid by debit card and this has been cleared by my bank. I have not had any letter from them so I rang my Bank to say I was suspicious as Sky had sent me an email warning of companies claiming to be from Sky or giving the impression that they were, but are in fact nothing to do with Sky. My Bank has advised me to contact Trading Standards.

- StephenSame as everyone else. I called BT nuisance call advice line. Skylite is well known to them. There is nothing they can do about the calls because they come from a foreign number, they can't be blocked and no action can be taken against the caller.
