Just wanted to say that if you are so innocant and legit company, how on earth would you get the information in sky box warranties ending if you are a seperate company? I mean Sky is a legit company bound by consumer rules not to give out information on their customers, how would skylite get that information? Unless by cold-calling,  you cannot defend a company that mis-represents itself, I dont care even if you provide a good service or not you are not sky and thats what you say on the phone. Don't make me laugh about hearing the FULL story, your company is a con... and I like how there are post from employees here, of course you are going to legitimise your actions. I have report your company tell that to the boss, if you are a geninue company then you should have nothing to hide.

I was called by this company on Saturday.  I was unwell and waiting for the doctor to phone so they caught me with my defences down. I was confused and gave him my debit card number and have now been debited £60 by Skylite. I have been to Natwest Bank and they  called their fraud department who say I have lost my money but they have cancelled my card in case they try again. I tried to phone Skylite but no reply. Did you get your money back.?  I am now trying to get hold of Consumer Direct (Trading Standards) I am wondering if I try to get Skylite te on the phone and DO get them, how will they be able to refund my money if my debit card has been cancelled.

I had 2 phone calls from Skylite, each time I told them that I did not want cover, yet they have still taken £60.00 from my bank account and I didnt even give the details  to them, so they must have got them via sky or somewhere. I rang Skylite to complain and was told to email them and ask for a refund, which I have done and I am waiting to hear from them. The number I rang was 0844 9671222 and the email address I was given was  Admin@skylite-Ensured.co.uk.

We have not received anything at all...no paperpwork...no receipt...NOTHING....I am bloody furious. My mother is in poor health, what the hell can I do now? Has anybody got an idea how to get the money back from these horrible robbers? If they are not robbers...why do most people have £60 debited and my Mum had £150 I presume for the same policy??? Can they answer that ?

I am taking action against them. I am sick of waiting in vain for a refund, let us now see what trading standards and the police do, I have to try everything possible now. I will not put up with their behaviour any longer. Liars and cheats should not be tolerated, if they tell you their company will refund then that is what I expect not  totally ignoring me. The people who own Skylite Ensured should be ashamed of themselves, I don't klnow what theirreligion is...but God help them...they will be paid back for their dirty dealings. Everyone should now do the right thing, report them.....

I have posted before about my elderly Mum having £150 taken from her account. I phoned them and e mailed them, after the twenty eight days they quoted Mum now has received her money back. I still feel that this way of cold calling should be stopped, but I must say, true to their word, Mum's money is safely back in her account. I have now stopped incoming cold calls and removed her name from the next directory. I would urge anybody with an aged parent to do the same. Thank you Skylite ensured or doing the right thing! Be careful folks, and just wait for your refund once youm have phoned them.

Got a call from Skylite yesterday from a woman with a strange accent.
After she said who she was and that my Sky Warranty had expired, I asked how she got my number as i was TPS registered and strangely i was left with a long beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

The 'Frank' from Skylite rang up today and i was a bit nicer, he told me that my Sky Cover had run out and that they could offer for £9 a month or special offer £90 for the year their service. He asked me to confirm i just had a normal Sky Box (have had HD for a few years now). After i got all their address details etc i said i already had cover through Sky - he then launched into what i would call 'abuse' saying i was wrong, Sky didn't provide cover and that it was Domestic and General and they have a right to ring me despite me being TPS registered. After i asked why Sky would provide details on a box they had just replaced that was  faulty (under the sales of good act - inherent fault) and i now have a new box and 12 months warranty and 6 years cover under the sales of goods act, he said it didnt apply and that i was wrong :(

Not quite sure why the Sales of Goods Act wouldn't apply to my Sky Box. And wonder if the people at Skylite actually know what it is. I did report this to TPS also, just posting on here after reading all the other threads.

Only read a few of these, but i too have experienced a cold call from this "company". In April they rang to tell me that my Sky warranty had run out and I needed to re-new, /i said that Ididn't even realise I had it to start with as my bill never shows that. He perservered, my baby was crying for breakfast, so I asked him to hurry up with it, and stupidily I gave him my card details to make the payment, as he too said that he was unable to add it to my monthly bill with Sky, due to it being insurance.
He told me I would recieve paper work through the post, with the cancellation/cooling off period stuff.
Needless to say I have recieved none of the said paperwork.

When my hubby got home I mentioned the call to him, and it was then he said that we hadn't even had Sky a full year at that time.
I rang the officaill Sky insurance people, off of the Sky site, and spoke to them, to clarify that I wasn't with them, and that insurance is optional, whereas Skylite told me that it is essential.

I have cancelled it, via their admin e-mail address but they have taken 2 payments since, I have just rang them again today and spoke to a girl calling herself Azima (not sure on spelling), she says that it has now been cancelled and I have recieved an e-mail saying I will get a refund
I guess I will now wait and see what happens.

This Company have taken money out of my current account without ever contacting me.  Check your bank statements carefully, the first hit is only a small amount so can go undetected.  A new cash debit card  was delivered to me by mail only three weeks ago and it has not been used yet, but they were able to take money out of the current account. The phone number used on the bank statement was 08707777376.

I have just contacted sky protect - the real one.  They are very clear on the fact that skylite is infact a fraudulent company who take your debit number and transact the money as a credit card stopping you from cancelling the payments.

Call your bank to retrieve the money from the account it is being sent to and it is safer if you do cancel this card so that they cannot use it in any other way, unless your bank can assure you keeping it is safe.

You are dirty filthy scum praying on people who are struggling to survive just as you are - the only difference is - we are hard working honest citizens and hopefully you will be found and dealt with (painfully I hope).  Funny how if you work for a legit company you are not prepared to show all your details of address, your real full names, useful phone number or even an engineer to anyones house - come to mine, I dare you, time and date and I will have a real Sky engineer waiting and a member of the police to greet you so you can show your credentials.  I dare you.

skylite are genuine. i paid 80 for 1 years warranty, and they called me literally days after my initial sky warranty finished. yes they do seem a bit eccentric, and yes a lot of them are asian. but why they have got such abuse on here i dont know.

i will say this however - to those people complaining 'oh my 90 year old mum with dementia was conned by them' WHAT THE [***] IS SHE DOING LIVING ON HER OWN AND PAYING HER OWN BILLS ANYWAY? IF THEIR OWN SON/DAUGHTER LOOKED AFTER THEM PROPERLY AND DIDNT LEAVE THEM TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES, THEY WOULDNT HAVE DEEN CONNED WOULD THEY, YOU CRETINOUS BELLEND?!?!

sales people will always try and milk it, its their job. if old people have been conned well thats sad, maybe they will be more careful in future. im nolt condoning these actions, but it seems like people are jumping to conclusions that all sorts of fraud is being comitted, when in fact they are offering legitimate services for a decent price.

I had a call from this company offering insurance at £8 per month. They asked for my debit card details for 1st payment then took £210 out of my bank.I have received no documentation although it was promised within 5 days. I am now going to TRY and cancel the agreement and get my money back, but dont hold any hope.
