i was also contacted in the mall by these interface people.  They ended up scamming me out of $300...they promised me a refund and have yet to see it.  It's only $300 bucks, however these people know how to make you feel guilty as if you're not doing your children a favor or helping their future.  STAY FAR AWAY from these people.  I have reported them to the BBB.

Good Afternoon Everyone!  I work for a mutli billion dollar company..Unilever in Trumbull, CT.  Like everyone else they too are experiencing the economic downfall and my 40+ hr weeks are down to 20.  So I decided to go online and look for a new job.  I came across InterFace offering three differant jobs..one was a schedule confirmer.  So they called me within 2 hours of sending them my resume and cover letter (weird) i thought..but was hopefull.  I went to the interview on friday and met with a director named Paul.  As a New York City girl i know a putz when i see one!  In an interview you sell yoursef to the company to prove your the best candidate for the job. Paul was selling himself to me! saying that interface had a 80% success rate...coincedence everyone here heard the same thing..NO!  He said as a schedule confirmer I would make the decision to put the perfect kid in with the perfect job..i had a funny feeling all the way through.  Now as im reading these posts, my job would of indicated calling people like you and suckering you into an apptmt.. if you show and spend money that comission would go to us.  Working from 10 am to 830 at night being paid 10.00 dollars an hour (HA!) plus weekends!  Paul actually instructed me to online and look at all the negative things they say about Interface (and found this website) and to come up with ways to rebuttle everything you guys have been saying!  I was suppose to go today (unpaid) 10 to 12 and observe the b.s'rs that talk you guys into coming in.. I didnt go because after reading all this i felt horible!  They didnt even call to see if i was going to be late or why i didnt show up ..so i felt very happy with the decision i made.  I work for Unilevers Concepts Conumer Research..if your familiar you know we recruit you guys to come in (probably assumed i would be a good candidate as a recruiter) but we PAY YOU!!not the other way around..i would never be apart of such low life scum takng advantage of hard working people such as yourselves.. i am veryyy sorry this has happened to you all and wish you and your children the best of luck...LETS GET INTERFACE OUT OF CT!!!

Interface has now expanded down to South Florida in Boca Raton.SOUTH FLORIDA BEWARE! Let me tell you that this company is a COMPLETE SCAM. They set-up their kiosks in the malls and hire young girls to work as "scouts". These girls do not know talent, they are pushed and forced to get peoples information and meet quotas. Upper managment also dictates how to discriminate against people. They like to target the "well-to-do" parents because those are the ones that should spend the money. These scouts donot even look at the children, they are scouting based on the appearances of the parents. Once you fall for the scam and pay thousands of dollars on poor quality photos, you will never hear from Interface again. A reputable agency will not ask for money up front. If they feel that you will be profitable to them, then they will take a % of your pay for each gig. Photos are expensive, if you are going to spend money on photos, do your research on photographers and find the professional ones out there. Plus, your child is young and will grow very fast. You will not need a complete comp card because in 6 months, your child is going to grow. DO YOUR RESEARCH, you will see that this company has changed their name in the past, has a very poor rating with the Better Business Bureau, and has tons of customer complaints against them...This company needs to go away and stop thriving on the dreams of children...

i also fell for this, being only 18 years old, with a ten month old son. obviously not having a lot of money and working as a CNA living out on my own, i wanted to make easy money so i said what the heck why not try because everyone always says my son is so cute. i went to the meeting paying about 580 for the photoshoot, the 2 outfits 1 headshot (the cheapest), i then proceeded to the photoshoot getting some good pictures, but not any better then just taking them myself. they set up another meeting for me to go and see the pictures and pick the ones to put on the composite card. they then told me i had to pay another 500 something to get him a page on the internet for the agencies to find him.. oh! and another 50 to actually get the cd with his pictures for my own sake. so i payed all that, and of course like everyone else said i had to pay right then. i actually asked them if i had to pay then and the lady said yes that was the whole reason for you to come down!!!. i then waited until i got the email saying his page was up. its been up there for a good 4 months, and i finally got the "request activity report" email that i requested about a month ago. its supposed to tell me what agencies they "sent" my sons pictures out to. well i emails one of the places called FUNNY FACES and of course they didnt write back! InterFace is a complete scam, they will get you at any age, even if your as young as i am, how unbelievible. i dont see how they live with themselves every day!!! never again will i make the same mistake! and yes i used to get calls from them all the time too but never anymore since they have all my money they dont bother to call. i dont see how they r still in buisness. but they cant be shut down because they dont "guarentee you will get anything" what bull! lets just say things are tight with money now.......... what big pieces of crap! so unproffesional!

I am a professional photographer in the industry. I went on an interview with my son. The $800 fee plus printing of cards is absurd. I know people in the industry and this is not how it works. If an agency thinks they can market you, they will pay for head shots, etc. They will make the cost back on the first gig. By the way, if you want to cancel, they tell you have 3 days. What they don’t tell you is you have to submit it in writing and it has to be POSTMARKED within 3 days.
Stay away from this place. They are slick and talk a good game.
I’ve bee in the industry for over 10 years.

Okay hi. I got a call too, about 2 days ago. Except this one, I applied to several diff modeling sites online and I was surprised by the response I got by what 3 days? I'm 15, and I have an appointment this Sunday. I will go, except I'm telling my mother not to bring cash or card or anything else. I think I am pretty, the reason why I am going is because I understand that it is a market system not a legit agency. I feel as though I would try, but I won't be fooled. But this site has helped me a bunch, reading all of these makes me prepared to catch any scams. Thank you.

PLEASE SHUT UP !!! all of you... I love reading these comments.  It says a lot about the credibility of the people writing them when the 1st sentence is "Im 18 years old and came with my 1 year old"
Are you even finished with high school?

I work in the Florida location and find it comical that people write complaints from a company that 1- offered you a job!! 2- current employees who say how much its a scam yet have worked here for 1 year???? ha.

YOU PAY FOR A SERVICE!! period.  Everyone needs to find something else to do rather than writing negative things about a company that you have no idea about.  People writing its scam when they havent even worked with them.

We almost fell for this.  We were approached at a local mall and went to their East Brunswick office with our daughter.  After being made to wait for an hour, we were ushered in by a lady with model looks.  After she assured us that our daughter will get many calls in no time, she asked us to pay for the photo shoots.  At this time I asked her how they make their money, and she couldn't quite give an answer. I asked her not to charge us upfront, but to take a cut of the earnings from my daughter's modelling assignments, if they come thru.  She said thats not how they do things.  I told her I will go back and think about it, and she would not let us go.  I was a little taken aback by their pushy marketing.  I repeated they can take their share from the earnings.  She responded saying how I could expect a career in modeling if I am not prepared to invest upfront.  I now got up and walked out, and she was visibly upset.  Thank goodness I didn't fall for it.  Also I noticed that most people in the lobby waiting didnt seem either educated or well off.  Perhaps they specifically target people who they think are NOT educated.  I dont dress particularly well, and perhaps they thought I was stupid.

hello i kno u were upset but its not an actually modeling school or anything like that, they make a profile for u send ur/ur childs fotos out to companies and then u'll get more calls from companies from Old Navy Toys R Us etc. i was skeptical at first but kept on working with them and I made my son do what I wanted in the photos and they turned out Beautiful! he is now featured in Old Navy ads Gap ads Toys r us ads and carters (clothing) i couldnt b happier with my results i spent the money (2,500) and now recieve 2X+ for each ad (depending on how big etc) so its not like she didnt know what she was talking about, she just didnt want to mess with ur mind and have u expect a certian amount about each ad and then Quote her on it which is why she kept saying I DONT KNOW. to bad u didnt keep with it Ur son may have made a best seller model ^_^.

what a pressure cooker! i was just there last week. I am glad I did not sign up. I could smell the rat. I did not even research them before I went in.
I walked out before the rep. could grab my purse or held me hostage to force me to sign. It was that bad! I asked for a couple of days to think about it. Basically he told me if you don't sign today, don't bother calling me, your daughter will be missing out on all the opportunities! this is unreal. South Florida is perfect for them, that's where all the crooks from NY come and settle down and pounce on innocent, naive parents.  I asked for a business card, he gave me a card with no name on it. He said if you call, you won't find me, i am busy.

I can't wait for them to call me so I can give them a piece of my mind

Hey, [***]. Not all of us are sheep. We want to see what other people's experiences with this company are to see if we're making the wrong decision. If you don't have something helpful to say, don't say it, k? Thank you, for being a total dick, and why don't you go live your life instead of ranting pointlessly about ours.

    BEWARE of InterFACE Talent

My 16-year old daughter was contacted by this company via phone and encouraged to schedule an appointment to "evaluate" her ability to be on camera. It should be noted that my daughter is a model. The company rep stated that the company works with "300 directors and producers" in the acting and modeling industry. My wife got on the phone and agreed to schedule an appointment.

The following day I went online and researched the company, finding MANY negative comments. Including an undercover investigation from Inside Edition.

I contacted the company and left a voicemail indicating - very simply - that we were cancelling our appointment and I also asked the company to remove my daughters information from their database and to not call her again. Not more than 15-minutes later the company called her again and left a voicemail (which I have saved). The caller stated that "we had wasted their time" and that "they were going to report my daughter to the "300 directors and producers" that they work with. It should be known that I cancelled my daughters appointment 1.5 hours before she was scheduled to be there.

The company's intentions are very clear to me.
