Called me say he was from Microsoft I told him that i didn't need his help because i am a Computer Tech then he proceeded to tell me that he needed my help fixing his computer lol. I told him he could do a few things with his computer and hung up on him they do have the ability to call you back cuz he called back 8 times in a row but gave up cuz i wasn't answering.

got called twice today. the second time i answered the phone, telling them not call here any more cause i know that it is a scam. he proceeded to tell me to go to hell and some very bad things. also that he was my new husband and he was going to f*@k me. i am very upset, the next time they call i am going to call the cops.

I have received two calls from (206) 456-0661, the first on 2/9/2012 @ 2:09pm and the second call on 2/14/2012 @ 11:55am. Both times is was a caller with heavy middle eastern accents. Both told me that they were calling from Microsoft Remote Repair and that my Windows Operating System had a "serious issue that needed repair). Both demanded that I log onto their Website so that I could give the access to "repair" my Windows Operating System. I still can't believe people fall for this, they scam to gain access to your computer with remote access in order to obtain sensitive information from your computer so that they can gain Bank Information, Credit Card Information, Usernames and Passwords, Social Security Numbers, and anything else they may deem worth stealing from you. I told both callers that I did not own a Windows Computer, as I only have a Mac Computer...running Windows on a Mac is impossible. I also told them both to REMOVE my telephone number from their Database immediately since I am on the FCC National-Do-Not-Call Listing. They both ignored me requests, of course. The Caller ID shows as "Unassigned" (206) 456-0661. I called back several times, I would either get someone answering "Hello" then immediately hanging up. When I would call back I would get a message that was in Spanish saying that (559) 920-6456 *not the (206)* was either unavailable or no longer in service. So, I called the (559) telephone number, the same man and same woman I spoke to on the calls to my home answered at separate times and both claiming to only speak Spanish and that they do not know or understand English. On one call to the (559) telephone number the woman said she was Verizon Wireless when I asked her what Business this was.

Just to let everyone know...that these call are NOT coming from a Call Center in Pakistan, they are in fact coming from somewhere in Fresno California are, the (559) Area Code is from the Central Valley in California. I submitted a formal complaint with the FCC.Gov Website and I suggest that anyone else receiving these calls does the same...also if ya some free time...call the numbers and harass them back cause man oh man does it ruffled their feathers and upset them, LOL.

Update -

I did some more research and found out that the telephone number (559) 920-6456 is a Cellular Telephone from Porterville California which is located as an outlying small town to Fresno California (a small farming community with a majority of Hispanics that are both legal and illegal Farm Laborers). Probably paid to do this, considering unemployment rates in Porterville is very high. Just for kicks I called the (559) number, then (206) number, the same woman answered both times. I then immediately called the (559) number and asked her, "just how is it possible for you to answer a phone with 2 different area codes - (559) and (206)?", she gasped pretty loudly and said, "Oh S!@t!" as she hung up. LOL.

Pretty funny if you ask me.

Read my posts regarding this phone number on page 16 of this thread. I submitted a formal complaint to FCC.gov this afternoon. I would recommend doing the same. If enough people make formal complaints then maybe this little scam will be put to an end.

Please check my post on page 16 of this thread regarding this telephone number. I was able to do a little investigative work this afternoon about this. Found out some interesting info. You can either make a formal complaint directly through FCC.gov with by phone, website submission, mail, and fax. Or you could do what I have been doing for awhile (after I submitted my formal complaint) call them back and say you are from whatever Tech company and that their computer is infected with a virus...their responses are hysterical!!!

Hey there GreenLincoln, check my post regarding the telephone Number on this thread. My posts appear on Page 16 of the thread to this issue. You mentioned that you block their number and that they are still getting through, well I might have a solution for you, after some investigative work on my part this afternoon, after receiving another call from these hikers I decided I was gonna look into it further and possibly stop them from calling me...or at least I was hoping they stop calling since I play with them and make them angry...it is kinda fun actually, but anyways. After some checking the numbers they are using to show up on Caller ID is of course a number but not their main number to block them. Their actual phone number is (559) 920-6456, which is a cell phone in Porterville California. Maybe if you try and input this number to block them maybe they won't be able to get through, who knows, worth a try though. Also, I highly recommend filling a formal complaint with FCC.gov, can be done directly on the website, by phone, fax, or mail. If enough people file formal complaints, maybe we can put this Husband and Wife Team out of business!

I just recieved the same call. I asked him what company h was with he said Microsoft. He gave me some song and dance about my computer uploading malicious software to the internet. I hung up and he called back. I did not answer.

Received an incoming from this no.  Which I do not answer when it said nos from oversea.  I just let it rang into my answering machine.  But no message, obvious!!  And they try again with Private Nos appearing on my phone id and once I answer and yadayada about computer, so I told them I have my own IT guys fixing any computer I might have.  Must think we are all dumb

Called this morning and is calling back around 6

i received a call this am at 5:47!!!! i did not answer, and there was no message left. after reading all of the posts about this number, i am blocking it.

I got a call from this number this morning, and a guy with a heavy accent proceeded to tell me that I had won a $400 coupon from Walmart as part of their customer appreciation program. I was just waking up at the time, so I didn't realize what was going on till he asked for my mailing address and nam. I denied for obvious reasons. He then tried to hit on me by saying I had a nice voice and that he wanted to mingle. Of course, I hung up.

BUT SERIOUSLY?!?!

Same story as everyone else... Wanted to access my computer! They've been reported.

they called me at 5pm saying that my computer was infected they asked me to follow a series of steps:
-hold down the windows bottom on my keyboard while pressing the letter R
-they type in eventvwr in a box that opened up
-click okay
-on the left hand of the page that opened up click custom view
-then go to..........

i didn't do any of it as i knew it was a scam but wanted to see where this was going. The man got wise and they stared to use fowl language.  PLEASE be carefull and just hang up on them and ask your telephone service to block this number

Got a call from them yesterday. Hung up on them before he could even finish speaking. I thought it was pretty weird that someone from a different country and different coast ( I'm from the east coast canada) was trying to tell me that I downloaded something malicious...

Yup... same story... These idiots just called my land line and told me they were the techs that take care of Microsoft clients. Please... if you fall for this one, you deserve it!! Seriously!? Number was 206-456-0661. I am also in California and it was an Indian dude reading a script in a noisy phone room. Wow... it really is too bad that some people do fall for this crap!...

A man in a very heavy accent told me that he was from Microsoft and that my computer had been reporting several error messages.  PLEASE do not fall for this scam.  These are criminals trying to hack into your computer!

Its a scam! Some indian guy called pretending he was a microsoft technician. Don't believe him, hang up the phone right away. Microsoft would never ever call you out of no where.

The guy didnt make since, he said he was calling from PCC Care because my computer was infected. I informed him we are on the do not call list. He said thats why he is calling...WHAT!! By the end he made no sense at all. Wouldnr give me a number to call back .

upon questioning, caller identified himself as from microsoft technical solutions. didn't sound right and when asked for his identification of the computer being infected he started to spew some nonsense and then hung up. Always question unsolicited contacts!
