Same as all the below... the number showed up on my home phone (I think I'm finally making the decision to get rid of it) about 7 times over the last 2 days.  I finally answered and the Indian guy told me all that stuff about my computer sending messages.  I told him I wasn't interested and to stop calling my phone and he hung up.

Got already 3 calls from them. Told him that I'm using UNIX instead of Windows, but he didn't understand ;-) Now this number is on my black list, therefore this number will be blocked in the future.

they have been calling me non stop. i'm in canada. the latest was this morning, i wasn't home but my boyfriend answered. indian or pakistan accent... when he asked who they were and why they were calling, he actually said he was my dad @ a police station. then said he was the VP of India. they've also tried the your computer is broken [***]. i've heard many horror stories about these guys.

I got calls from this number and always late in the evening.

They're still calling me, but never leave a message.  I've never picked it up either.
It's true that the Federal Trade Commission has intercepted this phone number, taken it over and left a recorded message warning users of this particular scam.  They've also called my parents the same day that I received the call.  So perhaps they're going through the phone book alphabetically / city.

They are very persistent and obviously this scam is working to some degree, otherwise why would they bother trying anymore.  Who knows, it's unfortunate that scum bags out there exist and I suppose they always will.

Try investing in a Panasonic or Uniden phone.  Many cordless phones/bases these days have call block features built into the device.  You could block the entire area codes if you want, or just specific numbers.  Calls from that number won't ring your phone, it will bounce to voice mail instead.  So, at least you won't have to look at the call display every time these goof balls call.

Changing your phone number is likely to be temporary, unless you pay to have it unlisted.  Even then, random guesses are likely to result in reaching you once again.  Good luck.

These people claim they are from the service department of windows and that you have a virus that they will fix for you!  Hang up - don't reply - it's a scam!!!!

We keep getting this phone number, If you ever call again. A law suit will be filed the attorney general will be called as well as the FBI. Knock this crap off NOW.

I got this call from 206-456-0661 as well and gave him a hell of a time for about 10 minutes. He asked me to press the windows button and then enter eventvwr in the "long white box" which I said I did. This was all after telling him I had my private parts in one hand so it would take me a lot "longer" (no pun intended) than most people. I played along telling jokes and making fun of his accent for another few minutes (He said his name was Owen and I told him that is odd for something with such a strong indian accent lol) but he didn't seem to get my jokes so I told him I was going to finish the job I was in the middle of and call him back after I cleaned up the mess. He still didn't understand but gave me this number to call back 920-545-4825. I am going to check that number and see what I can find out. Sorry for the masturbation jokes I just had too much fun with this guy and had to share it! Peace

A woman barely speaking English tells me that there is a problem with my computer....I asked how did they hack into my computer to see that there is a problem......she hung up.
PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER IF YOU SEE THIS NUMBER!!!!!

Have called me twice, Had no time to take to them the first time, called back today tried to tellme they would fix my problems with MSN. I could not understand them and when he tried to get me to turn the control of my computer to him I got leary and disconnected.

They called me just recently trying to get me to go to a website and download the software so they can delete virus.  They were saying my computer is infected and I can't delete the infected files.

These guys called about 45 minutes ago, said they were from Microsoft and that my Windows computer had been uploading "malicious softwares" to the internet. I chuckled to myself and told them my family only uses Mac. (I do have a Mac, but right now I'm running Win7 on it; and the rest of the family uses Windows computers.) They conferred for a while - I could hear them saying "he says he has a Mac computer" and then they said, "Thank you goodbye." Bumbling idiots if ever I saw any...

I finally asked the guy what country he was calling from and what kind of scam he was pulling and he called me an a$$hole, muther F#$ker over and over.  I bet he doesn't even know what it means, probably just repeating stuff he heard.  lol

These idiots called tonight. Answered the phone but all I heard was dead air. No response or noise of any sort. Why can't we get rid of them?

Just got a call from this number and some Indian guy named "Sam" - yeah right - told me my computer was sending out dangerous viruses to his company.  Told him I did not own a computer then he said he meant my laptop, told him I had NO computer or laptop and he said he had the wrong number.  What crap...been getting calls from this number for days shoulda never picked up.

Got a call at 3am from this number... didn't answer. Seems a little out of hand.
