We just received a call from 2064560661, a very rude man with a thick pakistani accent that claimed he was from Microsoft demanded that I go to my computer and turn it on as it was sending error messages and he would tell me how to fix it. I told him I wasnt going to do anything of the sort and how do I know who he is and he just kept demanding I go to my computer and do what he said. Finally my husband told him to never phone our number again and we hung up. I wanted to know what this was about so I googled it, thank god for everyone's posts on here, now I know what its all about if they phone back.

get calls from them trying to access my computer and tell me that they are associated with Microsoft. This is a scam!

I hope they don't get hold of some unsuspecting person and access their computer to get personal info.  when they called me they said they are getting messages from my microsoft operating system and needed to troubleshoot -- would I go and turn on my computer !!!!!!

had a call at 10:40 on sunday night ,, telling me that there was trouble with my windows .. i told him the only windows i had was the ones in my house ,, had him mesmerized.. hah

The only thing you can do is report this at your telecom operator. They can trace where this is coming from and or block the traffic or have their legal department do something about it.
These calls are btw also generated with number 1-2064560661, but that's also a fake number.
Calls are send into multiple countries.

1st ,,thanks to all the posts. I have been called twice from this scam. I did not answer till this morning at 9;18 am est. ..Heavy, heavy accent. indian of course. He kept calling me sir,,a hoot of course I am woman hear me roar. ha... my computer was putting out bad vibes and was I aware of it..Too funny... Alot of background noise.  So everyone, keep your computers in check. We do not want any bad pc out there offending anyone....and again,, thanks for the posts.

You GO GIRL, and you are right. their country does not respect women at all.  I answered a call this morning and the accened guy thought I was a man.,,, a hoot ,, and also right WHY doesn't somebody put these idiots out of business.

I have received several calls from this number. What I want to know is how tomake it stop

Claiming to call from NY City, heavy Indian accent.  Telling me my computer is infected and would I like help. Social engineering call.  Wanted passwords, login information.

They keep calling me from this number, first a few times are only computer noise, finally they told me that my computers are crashed if I don't listen to them.

got a creepy call from this number, about computer problems. He had an accent and I asked to be removed from their list. He asked me "what are you doing? and I want to call you again". CREEEPY!!!

got a call from the same guy, middle eastern accent.  Insisted i turn my computer on... i told him i didn't want to.  he argued with me that he was from Microsoft and he was regretfully the bearer of bad news.  I turned on sponge bob square pants theme song, put the phone to the speaker and walked away. He hung up and called back!  hahahaha  I told him I followed his instructions and thats what happened.. then we did it again.   he didn't call back again...

Same thing. I was sitting here bored, so I did the Event Viewer check with him. He wanted to know about how many warning events there were. When I said that he should know if my computer was sending the info to him already (hence his "reason" for the call) he should know. He backtracked to say he just did that  so I could see how many events there were!
I continued the game and then he says he must get his supervisor to assist me and puts me on hold. While I'm waiting and giving the wife the details (she thinks I'm cruel to lead them on) they start calling me again! My call waiting starts to beep, I answer but the new guy can't hear me :(
They tried calling me back 3 times and appear to have quit.
Oh well, the 5 minutes I kept them on may have saved some less knowledgeable user out there.

Just got this call at 8:51 PM - didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.  They are now trying people in Alberta.  Grrr

I got the same call at 8:30 pm in Vancouver area today. I told the guy I can't understand him.Thanks for telling us it is a scam.What should I do if they call again?

and I got the call in the UK with the silence and then 'Goodbye'.

This is just irritating.

Caller called and asked to fix a virus on Windows.  I told him I had someone else on the other line that I would call him back.  He blurted out some number and quickly hung up.

I got the call from (206) 456-0661 claiming to be from Computer Services Recovery (or something like that - very difficult to understand him).  He said my computer is issuing errors and he wanted to access my computer to show me.  I told him I didn't believe him, and hung up.

I'm in Nova Scotia.Got a call from 1 206 456 0661.today.I said I wasn't home.and i'll have him(me) call you back.They insisted on themselves calling back.lol.She had a very strong pakistanie accent.I figured it was a scam.Thanks to google,it's confirmed.Stay safe everyone.Wish you well.
