I went back and listened to a voice mail that I had saved, and it sounded like the man was hearing impaired with a street like accent..He said his name was what sounded like RJ, R Joe, or Joe Walker?? Could not really understand, but I hope this provides some help! Thank You!

Very Rude!!! Have called me several times looking for a family member. Tried to get information and used names of unknown people. Bad group of people.

This company called our home in California at 5:47 a.m.  My husband answered and said "What is this about?  Do you have any idea what time it is here?" and then hung up.  After reading everyone else's comments, I'd just like to add that any legitimate company figures out what time it is when they call a client.  We have no outstanding debt, so there is no reason for this company to call us at any time of day.

It is illegal to administer collection calls prior to 8am.  Sue them!  By the way, they contacted me twice today and after seeing these comments, I am looking forward to their call!

Weird - weird  -weird. Get a voicemail with name, call back number, file number & it is regarding the name of my father. I call back & the supposed law firm rep wants contact info for my father & says its a law office & safe etc etc. Sounded just like a telemarketer, had a headset on & i could here all the mumbo jumbo of other noisy telemarketers in the background. He even proceeded to say he had to call me back b/c another attorney was on the line. At which point, of course, I still didn't give any info & said I would pass along the info to my dad. Strange thing is  - i have just had this phone number for 1 month & my dad's number has been the same for ages, its listed & he is a preacher. very easy to get a hold of! how come their so called "investigation" couldn't turn up his contact info???

We recieved a call from 215-642-3400 and my caller Id said its a  Atty T. Landis but when I did a  search I found out the number belongs to a Donald S Burak. in Pa somewhere. Not sure what the call was about but if I dont know the number I dont answer my phone I look it up on the net.
I have read some of these replys  how they get calls from the same person WHY cant something be done about this?

Donald Burak is a disbarred PA attorney and convicted criminal.  That number is now used by

Mr. Landis was also disciplined by the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for a criminal conviction in 1997.  He is also affiliated with a group called APM, LLC which is run by Lawrence Weil, another criminal, who pled guilty to a Federal charge of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and is barred from association with any broker and dealer.  Mr. Weil may also run an entity called PPM Financial Solutions, LLC, all operating out of the Bensalem address.  Landis may have taken over when Burak got his.

There are also numerous federal cases nationwide against these miscreants.  I would not respond to them whatsoever.

They have been calling me again and again...  I made the mistake by paying them without checking to see if they are real or just a fraud and scam... and now they wont even leave me alone...  they even got a hold of my family and friends too to get in touch with me...  I had never given out their numbers so how did they get their numbers???  and now I do not know how to block them...   any suggestions what to do?  Do I need to call the police or what??

these people have called me,about some kind of debt,on my cell phone,day in and day out.they either call from an 8008534000 number or this 215 number.its some kind of computerized voicemail,saying 'if you are michael so'n'so,please call us back..and they give you a case number..and they give you some kinda BS thing that if you arent,to please disregard.yet SOMEHOW,when i call from a private line,to get these extortionists off my back,i cant seem to get thru.

sounds like they're some kind of extortionist outfit or telemarketer thing.i was gonna ask them about don burak and see what kinda law he was practicing lol

I received a call this morning with the same M.O.  
Call with the case number law offices of Tom Landich or Slandich.
The call came from Ohio according to my GPS, but the number
was 215-642-3400 in PA.  I did not receive the call they left a message
with a return number of 1 800 853 4000
I thought it was odd since I know no one in this part of the country so
when I typed in the 1 800 # .  There is a wealth of information in regard
to this person and his illegal tactics. Someone even posted a picture of
his office located in a thrift shop with the phone number on the door
I don't know if this is accurate.
The person calling is "Ollie Days" call from atty  Tom  Landich or Slandich
Be aware this person  is calling again with a slightly different name but
the same phone numbers

I received a call today at 2:10PM from a John Fisher asking me to call him at 800-355-1273.  He stated he was from the office of Thomas Landis.  I am very glad I decided to look this name up and found all this information.  I am not going to return his call.  Thank you all for this wonderful pool of information about Thomas Landis.

Received a call for someone who has not lived here for many years. Did not say what it was about but, after reading this website, I can guess.

Received a call for my husand from this number.  Called him inside to talk with them, by the time he got to the phone they had hung up.  Now I know not to deal with them again.  Thanks for all the great info.

My elderly parents received a call from atty t.landis asking about my whereabouts.  They neither denied nor confirmed knowing anything,called me and I got online. The number on my caller ID is 12156423400.  I voluntarily let a "lemon" go back to the dealership in 2003.  
My father has only been out of the hospital 2 weeks from a severe heart problem!  How dare they harass my parents.  I called the number my parents gave me and left a message that I had attys of my own.  
So glad I got online and googled dear mr. landis.
Surely this can't be legal.

they called me and i didn't answer. i called back and asked who it was they immediatly redirected my call. i hung up and called back ater waiting a short time. again the man muffled his voice, then said i will direct your call. i never gave him a direction. i called a third time they picked up lughed and said hello office depot.     stay clear of these scamers

Ok so after reading this I will let you all know I have been getting calls from this company. On December 3 or 4 they tried to get me to refinance my home to pay the debit I owe them. It is a correct debit I will tell you that. But I was giving them checks 3 months at a time 100$ payments. Then after they tried to walk me through the refinance of my home I hung up the call because I did not want to do it. They then sent a check through to my bank with out my permission for the amount of 1683 or 38 something like that. They are now calling me saying that I gave them a bad check. I told them to read the paper work it is not a bad check it was returned to them because I did not approve it. They have called my aunt and my father is very ill so she thought it had to do with him and gave them my cellular number keep in mind this number is a work cell not even in my name. I told them to stop calling they were screaming all the good stuff so I ended the call. Later we were at home and they called my husbands cell...There again this is in a company name not my husbands name. I was going to pay the balance but I have heard something about after the first of the year they can only contact you by mail or something???? ANY INFO ON THAT??? I figured that is why they are trying so hard to get the money out of me. I am waiting for my attorney to call me back about this situation right now. It's hard to figure out how to pay them because once you give them your checking account number your in trouble because they will just start putting checks through so dont make that mistake.
The two people calling me are John Lambardi and Lyn. They are giving my case number to people over the phone like my aunt and she said she didnt even tell them she was my aunt. I was told if they want to sue me they would have to send a rep from their firm to Iowa and take me to court here. So that is where I am going to leave it because if I pay them by check they decide to start paying themselves.

I got a call to my cell phone which is odd,since it is a new number and was told that they were looking for my husband.  Odd that they would call my cell.  I asked what about and he proceeded to tell me that we needed to settle a debt for a charge card that was charged off years ago.  and that he needed to access my husbands information asap, he kept asking for an email or fax number.  It is less than three days from Jan 1 and he when i asked him to mail me the nformation he said that i would not get it in time by the end of the year.  the balance they claim to be owed which is no where correct was 22K.  Do these people really think that i am going to give them my information, and pay this when A, there is no such debt we owe at that amount and B, I have zero clue who the hell these people are.  I mean really.  They can call and I will have a lot of fun playing.  The man on the line sonded like he lived in the hood and would tell me he would put a cap in my A$% if i did not pay.  I am so dumb founded with the way people try to scam for money.  This is insane.
