I just missed the call and the answer machine was not on.  Tried calling back but got busy,  busy,  busy.  302 is in Delaware. . I called B of A 1-800-427-2449 and ended up in Texas.  It was about fraud and I was undable to log in to my account.  Fraud possibilty was dismissed but I needed help to up-date my ID and password.  I ended up on a 3 way conversation with the nicest most helpful people I ever dealt with. It still took 1/2 hour to un-block my account and verify the new codes. . .but they walked me thru all the menus and pages until the problems were fixed.

This number showed up on my cell phone.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number.  They didn't leave a message.

Called earlyl morning on a weekday.  Answered, silence for 20 seconds, dial tone.  If it is a legitmate call, why hang up?

I received 3 calls from this number today. I finally answered the last one, after reading here that it was BoA. It was an automated call from their fraud dept. It did ask to confirm my name, but I was not asked for my card number. The system then asked me to confirm whether I had placed an order with a certain company and to essentially authorize that transaction.
The amount and the company name matched something I had purchased.

Just to be 100% safe, I called the number on the back of my card to confirm, and it was legit. I was never asked for any information that could have been used for fraudulent purposes during the automated call.

Since April there have been over $2000.00 worth of fraudulent charges on my Bank of America card, since I have recently undergone surgery and have a tracheotomy, I cannot speak and have tried to have my wife speak on my behalf. Now this number shows up as customer service F. Upon call back I am put on hold. They will not leave a message. I suggest you call Bank of America's fraud number 1804272249. This is the fraud line of Bank of America. I am however cancelling my account with them simply because of the way they handle these particular instances.

It IS Bank of America, people. Calm down. I think it's a pretty ingenious system they have going. They caught multiple false charges on my card and because they called right away, I was able to get them deleted. They should have a clearer way to tell that it's BOA, tho...

Received a call after I had made an online travel booking on an Italian web site. I guess that resulted in my card being flagged.
I did not answer at first because I did not recognize the number. No message was left. After checking here I called back and confirmed with them that my online purchase was legitimate and that they should not block my card.

After receiving this call & promptly hanging up, I investigated the number online.  I checked Bank of America's website & in fact there was a charge on my Mastercard so I called the number back because it was a holiday so Bank of America's main number was closed.  They reversed the charges & canceled the card.  I still felt uneasy about this so I called the 800 number on the back of my card today.  They confirmed the fraud & that the call was in fact legit.  They confirmed the charges were reversed & card canceled.  Please do not ignore this call.  Call the 800 number if you need to.  This was an UNACTIVATED card that I had cut up & thrown out because I didn't want it.  Please don't ignore this call.

I received a couple calls from this number today a few hours after making a purchase online. The first time there was no message left. The second time they left a message. I then called the number on the back on my credit card to confirm everything (not the number that called me).  The number in question here is a Bank of America number. They are trying to call you about potential fraudulant charges. I believe this number to be legit.
Whenever in doubt just call the number on the back of your card and ask.

Similar to everyone else.  Just made a purchase online, entered an incorrect expiration, and got the call.  Recognizing the 302 area code, I didn't answer because I don't know anyone in DE anymore. Called the number back after reading the above comments and I agree.  I don't know why they don't have a more legitimate/clear greeting other than "Thanks for calling, please hold for a rep."  I presume it's ok but as per other posts I will check my card activity closely.

I received a call from this number at 8:20 a.m. on a Sunday, which I initially thought was an inappropriate time for a telemarketer to call.  I did a reverse phone number lookup and found that this is sometimes referred to as a Bank of America number.  I then went online to check my account, and could not get access. I called BofA at the number on my account. They verified that they had tried to call to investigate an attempted $2000 charge on my card.

I came online to find out what business this number was to. I'm glad that I did because now I know that is may be someone trying to get my information. What really bothers me is that they don't leave a messege when you don't pick up. If this were legit they'd tell you that suspicios activity was going on with you card. They've called me twice today and both times I've ignored it. I called back a couple minutes later and got a busy signal. If they call again I'll pick up but there is no way I'm going to give my account number to someone. If there were a problem I'd call them myself. Besides....I haven't made ANY unusal charges.
