This stupid person calls me at 6:34pm (dinner time) and tells me he is not selling anything and goes on... I told him whatever he is selling or not selling that I am not interested.  He goes "what an ediot" .  I certainly do not want be bothered at dinner time and be insulted like this.  Hope someone reports to an authority.  I will try to do so myself.

401-401-0125.  This is the fourth time.  Man called, said his name was Jack, thick Indian or M. Eastern accent.  Said he was donig a survey about smoke detectors.  When I wouldn't give my name "Jack" started yelling and cussing at me.  Calling me a dumb f'ing women etc. This is the fourth time

There was static noise and a garbled voice

I got a call from this number.  The man sounded like he was calling from a cell phone.  He said he was taking a survey and wanted to know how many smoke detectors I have.  I asked him to put me on his do not call list.  He said he wasn't selling anything again.   I said okay, don't call here again.  He then asked why as I was hanging up.  I don't need this type of annoying call.  I have a knee injury and I had to get up to answer the phone and talk to this idiot.

Called us at 8:20pm EDT, caller ID is xxxxxxxxxx RI -- so we let the machine get it. Lots of noise in the background, but they didn't say a thing.

My elderly mother got a phone call in the middle of the night from a guy named Jerry. He asked for my brother's name and my mom wrote down the guy's number. When my brother (who doesn't know him) called to see who he was, Jerry denied ever calling and asked "Who gave you this number???" and told my brother NOT to ever call again.

There are none...When i catch them,,,,I CUT OFF THERE HEAD...NO MORE CALLS PERIOD.No more lazy hobby job.

I've been getting these calls for months, despite being on the DNC list & telling them to remove my number.  Very agrivating.   I wish I could crawl back through the lines & choke them out.

I don't see any new posts on this site but wanted to comment on the one 'southside' wrote.  We have gotten at least 30 calls stating this is not a sales call but do we have smoke detectors in our home.  The caller has an Indian or Pakistani accent so I believe the call is from overseas.  Upon receiving these calls we either hang up, scream and tell them to take us off their calling list but the calls keep coming.  There is another round of calls starting up regarding helping one with computer viruses.  The guy with the Indian accent said his name was Jack Stone.  Give me a break!!!  We have been told that these people get paid so much for how long they keep you on the line.  Does anyone know how to get rid of these calls?

After reading so many of the same e mails regarding these unwanted calls, I have come to the conclusion that the calls will keep coming. Hanging up, telling them to take us off their list, being on the Do Not Call list just does not cut it.  These callers are probably not calling from this country and therefore the Do Not Call List and the punishment for violating this list means nothing to them.  I believe the phone company needs to find out what the benefit is to these callers and advise us how to block the callers' incentives to make the call in the first place.

This is nothing but a scam. The foreign accented man named Frank is very persistant, so I just hang up, they are very annoying by calling daily. I reported them to local Law Enforcement, and now have the number blocked.
