Old lady probably from India-Pakistan called saying you won money or prize.  Disobeying the Do Not Call List.  The gov't doesn't have the balls to investigate scams like this, unfortunately.

Landline rings several times a day. - No message left - fnally did caller ID and 401-401-0125 showed up. Is this a scam?  401 is RI area code - for cell phones too?

Just got the call..i didnt answer. No voicemail left either.

Just received a call from this number, as reported lots of noise in background with no one talking. It appears to me that nothing can be done about these types of calls even with the help of the phone company.

Listed on caller ID as "Rhode Island", both call back and reverse listing reveals that it is NOT a valid phone number (which likely means that they are using some form of anonymizer the mask their real number.)

For the past 2 days, I have harrassed every 2 hours by calls from this number 404 401 0125. They say they are from "TOTALS SOLUTIONS" and ask about home smoke detectors. How can we make them stop?

just received this call and was asked about fire equipment, fire alarms, etc.  what is this all about, knew my name

i had a call two hours ago from this number twice... when i answered nothing,  When i called back no answer...

Got a call from this number answered it and there was a bunch of background noise, and could hear someone on the other end, but no one would answer when I said hello.....

Number keeps calling me; I do not answer. This a harassing phone call.

Called my cell phone despite it being on do not call list.

Had exactly the same call.  They stated they were General Electric and would put in a free alarm system.  I hung up.

I just got a call from this # and when I go to call back, it says my call cannot be completed as dialed. And when I go to text it back, it comes back with an error message. What is this?! What does 118T mean??

This, as with all unwanted calls, are entered in my contact list under the heading, junk. I have about 10 "junk" contacts, each with about 5 numbers. Each junk contact is set to not ring. This works very well to avoid junk calls.

Recd a call from this number, when I said I could not understand him, he started screaming at me.  Very heavily accented and I think I heard something about a smoke detector.  tried to call back the number displayed on caller id and it says cannot be completed as dialed

I can't hear you..." I hung up, less than a minute went by and the same number and same man called my residence (the two lines are in the same home, but listed under different names) and the caller continued to ask the same questions.

What if this is another terrorist attack?  We need to protect ourselves.  These phony numbers need not exist!!

These people have been calling me off and on for OVER TWO YEARS!  I actually answered the very first time since I was awaiting a doctor's call and wasn't sure if that was his cell number or what.  When I got the foreigner asking me questions about my home's security, I did what others here did - told them it was NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS and then I TOLD THEM *NOT* TO CALL AGAIN.  That did NOTHING to stop them; they've called numerous times since then.

The only recourse we all have is to register ALL our numbers with the "DO NOT CALL LIST" at www.donotcall.gov and then, after 30 days  for it to take effect (and give the bad guys fair warning) you can file as many complaints against these SCUMBAGS as the calls they make.  If you keep registering a complaint after EACH and EVERY one of these calls, eventually the Feds will have to track them down and go after them.  There are fines for violators, and, eventually, jail time.  So we need to all pitch in and be vigilant and tenacious about this.

They called again today; I already logged my official complaint with Uncle Sam.
