Woman called with a forgein voice looking for information regarding smoke alarms, detectors and alarms systems.  Reported to police department coventry

Just got a call from 401+401-0125...  The man who called was a middle eastern.  Asked if I was the home owner...I said this was a business...he said thank you.

I'm in RI....haven't answered this call (they call at least once a day)....but if they're asking about smoke detectors, etc., then sliding into questions about alarm systems, I have to wonder if they're "prospecting" for the best (unsecured) houses to break into. Seems unlikely, but then again, if they're in touch with local theft rings....

There's been a rash of unsolved housebreaks in the area lately.

I just got a call from 401-401-0125, caller was Michael from the 'Fire Safety Company', although getting that information was like pulling teeth, the deep accent, fast talk, and demanding style made it difficult.  He kept asking me if I had smoke detectors in my house, and when I answered his question with a question, he keep getting angrier and at one point said 'We're not selling anything, we just are doing a survey and want to know if you have smoke detectors in your home'.  When I said, 'What state are you calling from and why do you need to know?' he shouted 'F*CK YOU!' and hung up.  I'm going to be calling my state attorney general directly tomorrow, because when I have spoken directly to his office in the past, this is the sort of detail that helps them with their solicitation cases.  ID Caller said 'Unavailable'.

Just received a call from this #.  Let it go to answering machine.  No message left.

received a call from 401-401-0125.  9:00 at night. didn't answer. do these people have nothing better to do than irritate people?

I received the same phone call from (401) 401-1025.  A foreign voice claiming to be a survey.  I too, am on the do-not-call list.  After the call, I felt very uneasy and now wonder if it is some kind of a scam - trying to get you to answer "yes" which could result in you agreeing to something that will result in some kind of fee or cost.  I complained to the the FCC and hope something can be done about these calls.

A call from this number came to my cell phone earlier today, but I missed the call. Like others, when I tried to call back, I was told my service didn't include international calling. So ... it's no doubt some kind of scammer. I actually hope they call back. I have a little "routine" I like to perform for callers like them ... by the time they've talked to me for any length of time, they're convinced I'm crazy AND dangerous. Cuts down on repeat calls, for sure. LOL

Some creep ass named Kane or Cane or something called with this number just a couple minutes ago saying he was from some electric company. He asked for "the lady of the house" and when I said I rented from someone, he asked for my" daddy." Then he asked for my age and when I told him I was 19, he said, "Oh.. You don't sound old enough for that. Your voice sounds young. Very sweet." I hung up on the dude. He sounded foreign.

Called but left no message.  Have had calls from this number in the past.  I usually let calls that I do not know go to the answering machine.

Got a call from this number 10 mins ago.  I thought it was a legit survey.  They knew my last name and wanted to confirm they had the correct name.  I said yes.  They then asked if I had smoke alarms and various questions about them.  They then asked if I was the homeowner or living with the home owner.  I said no because I rent.  The caller then hung up.  I am on the Do Not Call List and do not appreciate these types of calls.  I have learned my lesson and will be prepared if they call again.

Got a call from this number, Caller sounded Indian, asked about fire detectors, I did not participate in a survey.  15 minutes later got a call from same number, different caller same Indian accent, we refused the call again.  Will be reporting the scam..

harrissing call........no one there wehn we answer. It is happening to both cell phones in the house

They called and asked questions about my home smoke alarms. I called the number back and got a recording that it was not in service.

Just received the fourth call from this number, shows its coming from RI .   Told them not to call me again, they hung up.  I would like a stop to this.

They identified themselves as VSS or GSS ( got called twice within an hour, one female, one male) The second time I told them I am on the "Do Not Call Registry" They apologized, said they are removing me and hung up. No more calls from them.

Got the same thing, RI call. Sounded like a dog barking under water ha, ha, then there was just static. No idea who the F this is Annoying though.

Same deal, I got a call about a week or two ago from a guy I could barely understand talking about smoke detectors and now I've had two calls in two days from these clowns.  I'm going to get the number blocked after reading all the posts here.

women with an hidu? accent called asking me about my security system for my home, I was peeved at that question, told her I was not the home owner and if I was I would be very angry. she hung up
