called back call cannot be completed.

Call stating I was 1 of 9 lucky people picked for a free appliance giveaway. Foreign accent female. Spam caller.

Called at 6:22 as I was coming in the house with hands full. When answering machine got it, there were LOUD tones as if the idiots were trying to access my answering machine messages.

I just got this call, so I didn't answer. Just a sales but if they got something to say they can leave a message.

Call rec'd 7:02 PM. I answered on the 2nd ring & they hung up. I like the post that somebody answered that they were a pizza place when these scammers called! If they call back, I think I'll answer "Police Department."
About an hr later, I rec'd an automated call from unknown # with the robovoice telling me that I needed to call them back regarding a business matter. Probably same idiots

I have two seperate phones in my house, one for business one personal, and on my business line an "unknown caller" called at about midnight and then a couple hours later this 401 number pops up with "Rhode Is Call" in the caller ID.  There was some music playing and it was 2 AM so I hung up.  Really pissed me off and since I'm in law I'm going to try to find these people.

The 401-401 central office exchange is unassigned according to the North American Numbering Plan Administrator.

That means, the phone number shown by caller ID is a spoof.

Get your whistle out and whistle into the phone-this will get their attention I have been getting the same calls-very annoying-rhode Island attorney general office said not anything they can do because these jerks buy a computer program that has their calls showing another number from whom they are calling from--HOPE THIS WILL HELP EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the call 1:41 pm CID says Rhode Island...can't these people get a life?

Got a call asking if I had a smoke alarm.Then asked if I had a fire extinguisher and back door or front door entrance....WTF I thought I was on the no call list......

I just got the second call from that 401-401-4010 number,
I want to call back but the number creeps me out.  I just
re-registered with do not call registry (gov.), and, will try to
find a way to file a complaint.  It's probably some stupid
low life hacker/man in his mom's basement that has a phone
dailing the same random numbers.  If the number can get registered,
then after 30 or 31 days if the number calls again, then the government
will get involved and even cut off his phone line.  Someone report it.
I tried to but I have to wait 31 days.  Don't just type here, do something and report it.  I am.

I received a call at 3:28p 12/14/2009 - just walking in from doing errands - let answering machine answer - no one left a message

I don't answer because I don't want idiots getting access to my phone.  Be safe folks.

Answered and said Hello twice, was about to hang up when a female with thick accent (from India, possibly) asked what I thought was if I had smoke detectors?  Thinking that was peculiar, I said I couldn't understand what she said.  She then said "what?" and I asked where she got this number (we're on a do not call list), then she said, "F--- You" and hung up!  I'M NOT KIDDING!!
Isn't that illegal?  Reverse directory shows the number appears in Cranston, North Kingstown and Providence.  I will report it to the TV stations and FCC, please do the same when it happens to you!

Got the call at 5:45. I was on another call so did not pick it up. Called it back and got the "not in service at this time" response. Definitely scammers on a spoof number.

Just got a call from this guy. Heavy Indian accent.  He asked if I had a "fire alarm" in my house.  When I told him I didn't live in a house, but an apartment, he started laughing and told me it wasn't a "sales call."  I asked why he was laughing.  He asked again if we were home owners.  I said "no", and he asked why.  At that point, I hung up. I should of hung up sooner ... this guy needs to get a life.

I got home and found this number on my caller ID, four times, starting from 6:22 until 7:23.  The first call was identified as Unknown, the next three said Rhode Island.

Call came in at 9:01pm. I'm going to report them because telemarketing can not call after 9pm. I belive these are related to craigslist jobs.  I have had several different telemarketing numbers call generally right after I apply for a job via an email address.  All the addresses are different names but all are "gmail" accounts.  Sometimes if you put the callers number in on craigslist in your state, you will find an ad linking to the person with company name.  Last time the guy had posted his info in a different district of craigslist and gave entire company info.  I contacted his company and threatened them with harrassment and police charges and it was the last annoying call I got from that number.
