just had the number on caller ID when I got home

I live in PA btw

I just picked up a call from this number.  They said they were calling from GE about how I won $100 to put towards a burglar alarm.  I told them I already had one and they asked if it was just an alarm or if it was monitored.  Very creepy.  I told them I had a monitored alarm.

Also live in PA.  Caller ID said "UN ASSIGN   RI".  Didn't leave a message - certainly wasn't going to answer.

Just got a call from Rhode Island 401-401-4010 at 5:42pm 9/25.  Thanks to everyone for the posts...now I will certainly NOT answer when and if they call back.  Seems strange to ask if your house is alarmed...are they planning a burglary?

Just received this call.  I answered the first call and was told it was not a slaes call (yeah, right!), but then questioned whether or not I had smoke alarms.  Told them to remove me from their list and hung up.  About one minute later they called on my other number so I just picked it up and hung it up again.

Called and started screaming that there was a fire in our house?? when we tried to call the number back it didnt work

Got a call from this 401-401-4010. I did not answer. The strange pattern of the number intrigued me enough to look it up online. Like others, I found this site. I had thought it was just a wrong number. Now I'm thinking it was more of telemarketing scam or a scam of sorts. Who knows?

I GO THE SAME CALL BUT THOUGHT IT WAS MY WIFE AND ANSWERED TONY'S PIZZA AND THEY SAID HELLO IN A WOMENS VOICE AND THE I REPEATED TONY'S PIZZA AND THEN THEY SAID THEY MUST HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER. THIS WAS A 8:40 PM TUES SEPT 29TH KEEP YOUR EYE OUT THANKS FOR ALL THE PREVIOUS INFO.

I received a call from this number and they asked if I have smoke detectors.  I could tell it was a telemarketer because of all the noise in the back ground

I just got one of these calls . . . answered the phone and the girl just kept saying "Hello..." about three times and then hung up. I'm in Ohio - October 1st. 1:30 p.m. GRRRRRR!

okay i got the call also - and i wonder if there's a common demoninator - such as are any of you on match.com?  Or if you've given someone your yahoo and your profile shows your phone number or last name?   i didn't answer - i don't answer if i don't now who it is and i have a man's recording (I'm female).  What a Jerk!

Massachusetts - heavy accent. asked about if I was a homeowner.I asked him to take me off his list and he said why.I told him he was a funny guy.

same here...heard background noise on ans mach before they hung up...wish I'd picked it up now...if I see it again I will...I love yelling @ these idiots

Very rude, they hear me say hello and hang up... then call back and do the same thing. I may even go to rhode island and look for this call center.

I just got the same call from:  401-401-4010.  Indian woman, said only a survey and not a sales call.  Asked if i am homeowner, have smoke det, replace batteries, fire extinguishers.  Asked which, if any, i was most concerned about:  fire, burglary or medical conditions, or all three.  I said all three, and laughed.  She thanked me for saving the price of a stamp to gather this info.  Heck, i was messing with her, but now I'm wondering if  I've set myself up for something.  She had my name!  Our phone number is unlisted.  This has me a bit spooked now.  i usually scream at these ppl, and didn't this time.. talk about bad timing.  I was distracted.

Just got a call from this number and I didn't answer.  Funny number so I looked it up.  Id was xxx-xxx-xxx-RI.  I am in TX

Just got a call from 401 401 4010.  My Caller ID also said "Rhode Isla Call". They just hung up when I let my answering machine get it. I get no results when I do a reverse phone number lookup on whitepages or phonenumber.com
