Got a call just now from this number.  The number shown on my caller id appears to be made up so I didn't bother to answer.  True enough, I remembered to check this site and voila!  Never gonna answer that call but it gets annoying if these people keep calling you.

I just received a call from 1-401-401-4010....the man's voice had a very heavy Indian accent..and said he was taking a fire saftey survey... in a hurry to say thank u and good night

I just did a $130 search in this number and nothing came up.  I am in the process of losing my home so what's another 130 bucks in debt.  No need to worry because Obama will bail me out.  Hahahaahhaha  well seriously I'm in overdraft with the mortgage and feel like I am going to die.   ANd Obama won;t bail me out.   THe number must be a front of another number to prevent  people from finding out who is calling.  If you see a guy in a cardboard box throw him a twenty.  It's me.

VNF or VMF Alarms...sounds like a survey pitch.  Guy actually thought the VM was someone talking...hahahahaha.

I have family in RI so when I saw the area code I answered it. It was someone who sounded Indian saying that I had won a free security system and asked me if I owned my home. I said I did, but then said I wasn't interested and hung up.

We received a call today but did not answer. The number looked bogus. And we are on the dnc list. We never answer a number we don't recognize. I'm tired of all the useless calls we get. I'm glad the local elections are over. We were getting multiple recorded messages from all the candidates and several supporters of local issues. They may be legal but I don't want to drop what I'm doing to answer some annoying call.

I've been getting calls from 2 different numbers for ASPCA and thought this was another but apparently it isn't.  I just recently got caller id ($6/mo) and glad I did, now I just don't answer calls with numbers I don't know.  I cannot believe how a company can get away with this without being fined or put out of business.  I am also on the Do Not Call list and have an unlisted number (which I pay $3/mo for).  This company obviously is not reputable or they would not hire people that spew forth such venom.  I guess the calls from ASPCA aren't so bad after all!

I received a phone call on Friday 11/6/09 @ 6:04pm. My dad who lives with me answered the phone and asked the person to hold on and speak to me because the caller had heavy India accent and could not understand what he was saying. I picked up the phone and the caller asked me about my smoke and fire alarms. I told him that i was not interested and he said that it was a survey. So I again said I was not interested in participating on the survey. He then started to curse and call me disgusting names. I replied back and then hung up the phone. I called the police after that call.

This number calls my Lab alot I do not pick up any calls with no real ID.
I think I might get a loud whistle and blast their ear drums out one day

If you have one, put a fax/phone system on the line. When you get the call, press manual fax. If this is an autodialer, the signal will stop the calls, if it's an idiot, then they may take it off the list.

I just started getting these as well.  Last night at 8:55pm, Eastern and again this morning.  We are calling our cable co, which is our phone co and having the number blocked.

just received a call from this number 11/13/09 at 8:40 pm.  No sooner than the person said hello I said remove you from your list.  The person on the other line then replied in a thick male accent "Are you stupid!" and then hung up.  Not the first time I get a call from this number but definitely the first time someone responded

just received a very crackly phone call, foreign voice in background, female, saying "hello?" "hello?"   I hung up.  Caller ID "name" was a repeat of the phone number.

Noticed this number on my caller ID list today.  Wasn't home.  Googled the number and landed here.  Typical telemarketer BS hiring third world idiots.

11/16/2009 (3:19 p.m.) - just got the same call, but let answering machine answer, so they just hung up

Called twice last evening (Nov.16)during a good Hockey game.  I'm on the NCL too.  Live in PA.  Somebody should try to stop this, like the FCC.
