From the feed below another scam !

I got the same text msg from Michael Sayers ..buying car for son in Darwin..works for Oil rig near Nz.. I am selling through Carsales. Three cheers for this site. It does make you feel like a fool for falling for it for half an hour !

Well, a week ago, my aunt received a text message from this number... So strange because he gave an email smithjames5@gmail.com but he said that his name was Daniel Jack. I realized that the text was all a big scam and did not reply his message. Anyway just sharing.

Why don't you send me a copy of your passport, home address on a driver's licence (from your way of talking you are probably in the UK, aren't you?), and if you can arrange a quick skype or gmail video just for 3 min once when you are doing your email, just so i can see your face matches with your details, i am happy to arrange it. I am pretty much available all the time.

I did not know about the scam and stupidly gave him some bank details. Have since closed the account even though the bank says he can't access it. Oh well. Live and learn.

Same for me using the name Tom Shedy. Knew something wasn't right when he offered $950 yet item was for $700. Why don't we all ring this number and blow a whistle really loud when he/she answers

Got a message from this number for a listing on Gumtree from Tom Shedy asking me to email him at tomshedy02@gmail.com. The item is up for $799 but he kept insisting on paying $1000 through paypal. That's when it seemed Suss! So glad I saw this though when putting his name in google. Thanks to everyone for posting!

Another scam ?......my phone number is clearly displayed

I Advertised van on gumtree. Got three replies from scammers. Two used the same phone number mentioned. the first gave email of jonesdavid694 a known scammer. the second was an unknown with email address of sharonhair001@yahoo.com

Just posted a car for sale on Gumtree and within minutes received an SMS on my phone from +61 428 465 117

It reads
"Sent from: stephen
Your vehicle still for sale?what is the lowest price and condition of it,get back to me through my email address (stepfresser@gmail.com)"

I replied via email and received the following email in response...

I did however provide my bank BSB & ACC # and immediately afterwards had a gut feeling that it was a little fishy. I called my bank and explained the situation and was told that the only thing that can be done with that info is deposit money into my account.

Resultado, ficas sem o artigo e sem o dinheiro.
