- yeah, right replies to Julie Moorland| 1 replythanks 'Julie' + 'Steve' & 'Ann' for your unsolicited testimonials - trying to fill page with good reports just don't work, people will still look at previous posts & see you for what you are .... have asked Moderators to review your latest efforts, plus earlier ones, so you don't fool anyone else! have a nice day
- George replies to yeah, rightI had forgotten about this lot. However, I see they have still not answered my simple question from months ago and it was so easy. Just in case they have lost it, I will repost. "Opton do you cold call people offering computer serviceswhen they have not called you first?" All that is required is a simple "Yes" or "No". I won't bther repeating the question aboutn Abishek as it seems to have been answered very fully by others. It looks like the only thing they can manage are pathetic fake positive posts in fractured English" Epic fail, I think. I hope the Moderators mark the posts "Busted" as that is much more fun than simply removing them. It lets people see what this company does to try and cover upm its scam.

- Bibbs replies to mr LThanks for sharing your experience. As you can see from the previous posts on here, this company is a scam, who are angry they have been caught out. If they call back do ask to speak to Avishek and ask them how the weather in Kolkata is - because that is where they are calling you from.

My 80yr old mother was called by yourselves and persuaded to join yurselves, she has no paperwork from you and very large bills, far more than she ever received before, inc one bill for £269 for an 80yr old who lives on her own, i think you are a disgusting company who preys on the old and vulnerable, you should be ashamed of yourselves
I am a computer engineer of over 30 years and I have never been so amazed at the amount of [***] you people taklk when cold calling claiming to be from Microsoft, go for it, call me more, I take immense pleasure in wasting your time and money on the phone - NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS! Keep calling me, your website says you adhere to the TPS - SO WHY ARE YOU [***] COLD CALLING ME???? You're a bunch of lying [***] with the mental capacity of an apple. Come at me [***] - I'm waiting for ya call! - Francis| 1 replyWho is doing these bad things to Opton? They are putting good people's jobs and lives at risk and it should be stopped.
- George replies to FrancisToo late with the fake positive post. Everyone now knows that Opton is a scam. Microsoft make it very plain that anyone cold calling offering to "fix" computer faults is a scammer. Why is that? It is because neither Microsoft, nor its partners would every 'phone and they are the only ones who know if problems exist. Opton has still not answered my very simple question from months ago. The question is "Do Opton cold call people offering to fix computer problems?" Such a simple question, all that is required is a "Yes" or "No". When you are back in the Opton office perhaps you could ask someone to reply?
- R SmithI received a call today (07/27/2015) and he stated he was with Microsoft Windows and my computer had a virus. I fell for it all and am sick of course from being so foolish (I have been hacked). After the fact, I now know that my computer has been hacked. They or he has all of my personal information and I tried to get money $192.98. Please do not get caught as I have.

- PushkarWe want Avishek to answer our concerns. Why is he being so cowardly? He seems to have given up defending his company now that we know this is a scam. Come on Avishek - face the music!
- AM/PM replies to PaulYou must be working for them to know all this. What else can you tell us about this place? Is the rumour that they are going to close down?
- BruceI have been contacted by the scammers and will not repeat other posters' comments, as they are factual in tactics, names used, high pressure sales techniques, etc. I will say, much to my embarrassment, that after challenging them on every claim and taking over two hours on the phone, I agreed to purchase their products and services. Then I found this site, because I suspected it was a scam. I changed my mind, but had no confidence that Opton would actually refund my money. So...after not sleeping well overnight, I contacted my credit card company, reported the sale as a scam, canceled the sale, and canceled my card. After I finish here, I will also contact the three major credit reporting agencies and freeze my accounts, so no more scamming, or worse yet, hacking, can occur. 'Roger Ward' is supposed to call me in a couple of days to check on how the changes and software are performing. Boy, is he in for a surprise! By the way, I reset my Windows to an earlier reset point to eliminate any changes he made to my 1-week old computer with Windows 10.

- Bruce| 5 repliesHaving been a reporter in a previous life, I know the importance of closure and getting the facts. And, as dogged as some of you have been, other than making yourselves feel better, getting an answer that you know you cannot believe, is not going to accomplish much. These thieves know their business, and no matter how riled up you get, they don't care. An old adage comes to mind . . ."you shouldn't try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig."
I read all of the posts above and except for one, I didn't see much concern for the safety of your data. One question I'd like an answer to is did these people hack into our systems, and cause the problems they were trying to sell a fix for. I am convinced they did. While our attention being diverted to seeking useless answers from someone whom you don't even know is answering you, they are making off with valuable info.- Caller: Opton PC Care

- Janet Parker replies to Bruce| 4 repliesSo you don't think exposing this scam and supplying the directors name, along with details of previous scam companies he has worked at, is not valuable info? These guys are fraudsters and more than likely hackers too. Nearly every post on here warns that this company is not trustworthy - so what exactly is your point?
- Bruce replies to Janet Parker| 3 repliesTheir scam is exposed. Great job to all posters here! But since scammers are liars, wanting them to them to admit their fault, while maybe making you feel better, will produce nothing more than has already been accomplished. This isn't a court of law, they have no incentive to answer any questions (truthfully or otherwise), let along implicate themselves in a scam. I am not sure what the answer is, but if I wanted to make a greater impact, I'd seek out a more widely distributed blog or better yet a sympathetic tech reporter.
- Janet Parker replies to Bruce| 2 repliesOh but they did try to answer our questions (truthfully or otherwise) and their responses only implicated them further. From reading these other comments it seems like their is an ex-employee that is leaking information about them here. We don't expect them to admit their fault, just to realise they have been exposed and that there is nothing they can ever say to relinquish them from the fact that they are fraudsters.
- Bruce replies to Janet Parker| 1 replyMaybe so. But they haven't stopped the fraud and scamming, now, have they?
- Janet Parker replies to BruceNo, but it is clear they have been using this telephone number for quite a few years. If you Googled this number to find out more about this company and you read these comments wouldn't you either not have anything to do with these lot, or - as in your case - cancel your credit card/bank details once you realise that they have been trying to deceive you? That's the point of this site! No they have not stopped scamming, but we can do all in our power to make it more difficult for them.
- Lisa Martin replies to AvishekDubeyYour customers deserve greater reassurances - especially now all this information about Continental Telecoms has leaked out. What are you doing to strengthen the Opton brand? What further measures are you implementing to ensure nobody else gets scammed from your company.
- Beat It| 1 replyHas anyone else noticed when you google 'Opton' this thread/site is third in the list on the 1st page of Google? It is fantastic news that anyone googling this company will be able to see these reports. I am sure Opton will be thrilled to learn that these pages of complaints come up in the organic search listing under just their company name!
