I just go a call from this number but the caller hung-up before I could answer. I had surgery on 11-7-12 and after reading these posts, I figured maybe the call was on the level except for the fact that it's xmas eve. I would ask the caller for specifics before volunteering any info such as my policy/group information, and recent claims which they should have. Then also should have a legit callback number if you're suspicious.

I received a call from this number and they did leave a message.  It was from UHC (United Health Care).  They were calling to follow up with me on a fax that I had sent to their office.

I got a call from this number.  The man had a heavy accent and I could barely understand him.  We are not affiliated with United Healthcare in any way, shape, or form.  It's a scam to me.

I got a call from this number.  It said it was OptimumRx from United Health Care. I called them number back and it says it is an outbound number only for UHC.  I had a vm about an issue from UHC.  It is a legit number.

I have received about 20 calls from this number in 2 weeks. If they care so much about people with health issues why this level of harassment. I spoke with UHC about the calls and was told it wasn't  their company. I am not giving out my information and if I need medical information there are safer avenues. I believe it's a clever scam. Help a little steal a lot.

Got a call from 763-274-3899.  They are UHC nurse line and following up on my wife's surgery.  Seems to be legit.

Received call from this number on my cell   On do not call list with GOVT    
Rang once and they hung up so is Missed call
Did not leave message either

Received a call from this number at 2:43 a.m. EST on my cell phone.  No message was left.  Called the number and a message answers saying it is a United Healthcare outbound only line.  Assume it must be a robo call since there would be no sensible reason UHC would call in the middle of the night, especially since I have no association with UHC.

This number is legit. I've had an RN with UHC calling from this number for several weeks now following up on my medical condition.

I keep getting calls from this number. The many posts I've read claim that it's legit, it's not legit.  Well bottom line, as far as I'm concerned, I don't want to discuss my medical situation with anyone expect my doctor.   I don't need a third party nurse (so she says she is)which  I have no way of verifying that, asking how I'm doing and if I need anything.  These calls are intrusive and unwanted.  I call this harrassment.

I've started to get this caller on my cell today.  As other people, caller never leaves a voicemail.  I am also certain it is a scam.  If they are claiming that they are UHC - it's not possible.  I never gave UHC my cell number.

This number calls me numerous times a day at all hours. everytime I pick up nobody says anything.

I got a call today from the above number. It was from UnitedHealthcare, OptumRx. They don't have a auto refill so they have to call for every order sent. They want to know if I'll be home for delivery since I have Insulin being sent. Every time they call its a different number. I wait until they start leaving a message and pick up.

I have recently refilled a medication through optum rx which works with United Healthcare. They called & left a message to call them back at 8 888-290-7734 with a reference #. I did & it was a stupid automated thing which had me enter my birthdate & reference # just to tell me my order had not went through yet....then it tried to upsell me on something. Ridiculous...they could have emailed me to tell me that. Hope I'm not sorry for saving a few bucks switching to a mail order pharmacy.

I work for UHC and I also got this call myself, trust me when I tell you this is not how UHC works.  We always leave a message when we reach out to members and we never ask for SS#, we will ask for you to verify your DOB, but we have to for HIPPA reasons, it helps us identify who were speaking with.  If ever you get a call like this and someone asks for you to identify your social security number, address or anything other than date of birth.  DO NOT GIVE IT OUT.
