yes I got the same email from another person in India... if you highlight his email address it pops a new window and shows you the persons real email address because they can spoof it to be dell, com but when you high light the address if its a scam it will show the true email.what ever.what ever instead of dell.com True way to tell a scammer over the real thing

I just contacted Customer service via their chat on their website. The number is a valid one. It seems illegitimate because they're asking you to respond in yes or no.. Which many scam artists do. If you are not sure about my own response, please to to their website, check their own Chat and ask. You'll have confirmation.

I received a call from this number, and someone left a voicemail saying it was Dell. They called back and said I had some transactions that were declined and ask if they could investigate fraudulent activity, and I said "yes".  That was a mistake.  If they call you and ask you this, just hang up or say "No".  Evidently if you say yes, they start charging your debit card/credit card multiple times.  I had over $1,000 charged to my card after receiving this call.  They are hackers who already have your card info before they call you, and at some point during the conversation with you they will try to get you to agree to something.  Always say "No" or better yet, hang up.  I learned the hard way.

I received a call from DELL about renewing my warranty. I asked how much it would be to renew and received a quote. I told the guy that I would go ahead and purchase the one year warranty extension in 2 days when I got paid. He then requested my credit card number but I was driving so I explained that I couldn't get my card because I was driving. He then asked me to pull over to give him my credit card number to which I told him that couldn't afford it until I got paid again in 2 days. Still he persisted to ask for my card number. When I got home, I checked online and the price I was quoted was $100 lower than what DELL charges for a one year warranty. I then proceeded to this site and discovered that there are mixed reviews as to if this a scam or not.

My thoughts are this: The people working in these departments are probably not getting paid much. To make some extra cash on the side, they steal the numbers they call at their real job (i.e. DELL) then go home and scam those same people knowing everything about their computers. Then, the scam job and the real job get confused when dealing with people and so they use the same persistent and insistent tactics at DELL that they would use in their scam. I just went through a scam with my father and it was all very similar when dealing with the guy from DELL. I finally emailed him and told him I would not be doing any business with him and if I wanted something from DELL I would go through their website. I also told him I would not be making any trips to Target for gift cards.

He continues to email me over a week later asking me to call him. I've blocked his number and I have already filed a complaint with DELL. I'll never buy another DELL product based on my experiences with them over the past 3 years. The callers name was Sujit D. Kumar and his "managers" are Akansh Karla and Twinkle Malik which were/are included on his emails to me. 1-800-456-3355 x4163115

My debit card got hacked and $821 was spent on a Dell Computer at this number (at least this number appeared on my debit card transaction note).  I came to this site to check it out, but it looks like I am the only one with this problem.  My bank is investigating, but the fact that the $821 overdrew my account, "Dell" should not have approved any sale paid for with my debit card.

The call from this number came through on HIYA as IV Computers and as 2nd Look Laptops. They keep calling (blocked now) and emailing me saying my warranty is running out and I can buy a warranty for my Dell computer from them. They refuse to send me the cost via email and told me I only had a few days before incurring a reinstatement charge. They continue contacting me beyond the stated date and now say that date was for something else.

I received 3 phone calls in short succession from 1-800-456-3355. A man, with a very thick accent - difficult to understand, left a voice message saying he was from Dell and wanted to confirm my order. I was skeptical so called Dell at another number and gave my name and Dell order number. They indicated that the original call was from Dell and put me on hold. When the service person came back online he said there was a problem with my order and he was going to transfer me. I told him no thanks, upon which he told me my order would be canceled. I hung up and called another Dell customer service number. They also told me that the original caller was from Dell trying to confirm my order, but this man said my order status was fine and didn't ask for any further information.

I gave him the feedback that it was not customer service friendly to place unexpected calls and that Dell should indicate that a purchaser should expect a call to confirm the order upon order completion and repeat the call expectation (including phone number) upon sending the confirmation e-mail.

Got a call on July 4th, 2018. around 4 PM from 1-800-456-3355, stating that the payment for my order for a Dell laptop was declined by the bank and I should call 800-289-3355 with a long extension number back to reinstate the order. She did have an accent and my full name, which is a bit disturbing. But the fact is, I wouldn’t own a Dell if it was free, I’m a Mac girl. I’m hoping, the hack wasn’t complete and they are missing some info. Will not call them back, tho the devil inside me wants to play a game.

This is a ligit Dell number.
I'm in a running battle now with dell, bought a new laptop from Best Buy. Two weeks started having problems, I said to myself, just not used to windows 10 so I kept fighting it. Finally I took it back to Best Buy, they said they can do nothing since my 7 days had passed, but I could take it over to the Geeks, so I did, The Geek in charge, turns out knows less about it than I do, and I know nothing. He turned off a program on it, said that would double my speed, solve my sound problem and do away with the blackouts. Didn't happen with any of that. Went to dell since there was a warranty, spent 3 hours on line with them, they went thru the computer and arrived at the decision I had to send it in. I told them I could not do that, because I use it daily in my business.  I have used dell computers for years. but never again. going to dig out my old HP, get it up to speed and take the dell fishing with me and use it as a boat anchor.
And yes, this number is a ligit Dell number. I don't answer it because I wouldn't be able to understand what they are saying anyway. What gets me is there is no email address available to a complaint dept, since you cannot understand what the "customer service" people are saying.

    Here too
Received a call from this number and let it roll to VM. It has to do with a recent order from Dell I made earlier this week but due to the thick Indian accent, I really could not understand what they had to say.  A few minutes later I received an email regarding my order and that it had shipped via Fedex and looks like it will arrive on Monday.
