- Scammed Victim replies to NessieTHIS IS A SCAM!!!!! This is being posted directly from the scammers themselves.
The people that are posting this saying this is a legit dell phone number (800-456-3355) are lying to you. I just got off the phone with dell and they said it is not any phone number they use PERIOD. - ElleThis is a legitimate Dell number. It's the number that their online phone service dials out through. It always confuses me because it's an American 800 number, but my fiance sometimes uses it to call me from DFS Canada.
- Caller: Dell
- LGI keep getting calls from this number (and others) from Dell. They keep asking for David Yashiama. I have told them COUNTLESS times that whoever that is DOES NOT have this number. I have asked them COUNTLESS times to remove my number from their system. Guess they don't listen, as I just now got another call from them, asking for the same guy. When I said it wasn't David's phone number, the guy on the other end acted like it was surprise. (I will say in Dell's defense, they aren't the only ones doing this. I've had calls for him from Chase, his eye doctor, Tennis World, and several other places. I wish David could get his stupid cell phone number right when he gives it out to people.)
- Caller: Dell
- DeeI received a call from this number - it was Dell calling to confirm that I had received the warranty replacement part that was shipped to me.
- Caller: Dell (Technical support)
- Tony replies to Really??Come on are you serious?. This a a 100% legit phone call. Maybe someone made a typo in their phone number while ordering.
- WHO IS SPOOFING DELL?I think this number was spoofed. I have no reason for Dell to contact me. I've had weird run ins with this company where I think some web pages and customer service numbers listed are bogus. And seeing that most PCs get hacked, it makes sense and seems like a great idea. Someone should alert Dell and have them keep tabs on their online presence to make sure all the info is correct.
- Theresa replies to SO FUNNY| 1 replyyou should learn how to spell then
- Unknown replies to TheresaYou guys are talking alot. If you didnt purchase an order from dell, then do not entertain them. Why will you give info if you are not connected with that company?
- nunzio| 1 replyThis is NOT a Dell number. This site is riddled with campers trying to legitimize the scam. Let's take all of these criminals and tie them to my truck, shoot them in both legs, and just before we pull away to take them for a drag, douse them in gas and light them up. ...yup..that will end the calls.
- Maria replies to nunzioIf you type in the number on the Dell site you will be directed to Dell Customer Service - it is one of hundreds of numbers associated with Dell... Dell it just so darn unprofessional these days with their customer service it just comes off like a scam...
- jaime| 1 replyCaller id showed up as this number, stated they were calling from workmans comp and return number was 855-772-9157 definitely over seas

Best thing to do is wind them up with fake information- Caller: Scammers

- downtown jim replies to nguyenThis is probably the follow up call from Dell,my computer picked up a virus and they repaired it.Said they would follow up but I wasn't home to take the call.
- brendathe caller from dell said that I ordered ink in Oct 2014 and wanted to know if I wanted to order some more ink. I told the caller I just ordered ink last week and if he was with dell he should know this. the caller then asked me for my dell order number I politely hung up and call the Dell line off my email confirmation. I was told that the number 1800-456-3355 is not affiliated with Dell and I should not give this person my bank or credit card info. This person would have scammed me if I would have given him my info. The caller says he is with Dell and I did need ink at the time. These people at this number is FAKE .
- Caller: claim to be dell
- TonyBeware of scams... 800-456-3355 is a legit number associated with Dell. However the message I received from this number instructed me to call back at 800-571-3355, informing me that my recent order had missing information. I even received email that looks very official and had my order number and customer ID number... It all sounded fishy to me so I call a number on the Dell website directly and confirmed there is nothing wrong with my order.
So this is tough... if you placed a recent order with Dell you may want to at least let it go to voicemail and listen to the message. But NEVER give out personal information on the phone, and if they instruct you to call a number different from one listed on Dell, ignore it and call Dell directly from a number listed on their website.- Caller: Either Dell or scammer from Dell
- Joman| 1 replyGot a call from800 571-3355 days after ordering a laptop from Dell. Couldn't reach the caller on a Ryun call so left my name and Dell order number. Called Dell customer service directly. Dell informed me the nber is not listed as a Dell number I didn't give the correct order number on the voice message so no worries. These guys are crooks probably Nigerians
- Caller: Dell Verification
- Joman replies to JomanSorry, not my mistake, but the same outsourcing bozo who told me they had no record for the telephone number belonging to Dell, called me today on a similar number to tell me that he has learned that Dell does have a verification division which calls customers to verify their orders. That was after I cursed out the lady who called me last night in an attempt to verify. Perhaps they should use foreigners to verify. I strongly suggest that if any of these people try to get dates of birth or social security numbers from you, you soundly tell them NO. Dell will pass the buck if one of their outsourcing verifiers turns out to be an identity thief.
- foxbite2Funny I ordered a Dell computer online on Saturday and rec'd an email within 15 minutes stating they needed to verify my credit card info. I didn't trust the phone number on the email so I called Dell directly. I rec'd a recording that their offices were closed until Monday. On Sunday I rec'd a second email stating my order would be cancelled if I didn't call with my credit card info. I responded "go ahead and cancel it, I'll just order a Macintosh".. within 15 minutes I rec'd another email that my computer was shipped.
Today the same phone number called me to verify everything. I told the woman YOU TELL ME what info YOU have and I'll verify it. She said she couldn't do it. I told her I already talked to Dell this morning and my computer was already shipped. Don't trust whoever was on the other end of the phone, but if it's truly Dell, they need to rethink their business practices- Caller: Dell
- elbyI have also received 2 emails from surbhi_bahedia@dell.com and phone calls from 800-456-3355 but I haven't responded to any of them because Dell sent me an email informing me of that my order has shipped. That person claims that they are having difficulties processing my order due to credit card information not matching.
I called Dell customer service at another number and told them the situation and they said that my order is good to go. This is a typical phishing scam.- Caller: Dell
