You do know faster ram will jest run at the slower speed so the ram that runs at 1333 will down clock to 1066

it is dell calling to follow up on my recent order. It was the same guy I placed my order with when I called dell to order my new pc. it is legit.

The phone number of 1-800-456-3355 shows up as "Second Look Laptops" attempting to sell warranty for dell desk tops and laptops.

I received a call from this number today asking for Veronica.  I checked only right away to find out who's the owner of this number.  Clearly sounded suspicious spam caller.

Fake Dell. Never gave my new cell to anybody yet.

I work for Dell, and whenever I call someone from my work line, it shows up as this generic Dell number. (This is *not* the number to my direct line.)

NOTE: If you've received a questionable call from this number -- asking for SSN, or similar, as I'm reading here -- the number has been spoofed, since that is obviously not something an actual Dell employee would ask. Always follow safe phone practices. But in general, this is a legit number.

That is what a shill for crooks spoofing a number would say. You even set it up so people will trust the calls so long as they are not asked for their SS#.  I guess credit card info would be OK then?

And what are you doing here?  Not looking up a number. Unless you were calling yourself.

There have been more and more reports here and on 800notes about scammers allowing a "Legit" number appear in the victim's CID, and I have a feeling you are here supporting that new wrinkle in the scam.

Seems to me, if you were speaking for Dell, you would give the safe advice - If anyone gets a bad vibe about these calls, write down the reason for the call, hangup and then call Dell yourself on a number you know is good.

Out of the blue tonight, 3-22-19, I received a call from "Dell." I was asked if my phone number was personal or business, and then something else that also made me suspicious, so I asked why Dell was calling me. The woman said, "Please hold and the correct service department will speak with you." I hung up, figuring they would call back if it was legit, or ask me zanier questions to confirm my suspicions. Meanwhile I have been reading comments, including "this is a generic number." Well, it sounds fishier and fishier. Trouble is, I haven't been able to find a phone number on Dell's website to call, nor any kind of warning of spoof calls, etc.

Received a call from that number today - 800-456-3355. My phone reported it as Oklahoma Federal Credit Union. I did not answer. They did not leave a message.

If this is Dell they need to change their tactics but I doubt that it really is a reputable company. Someone with an Indian accent called me 3 times asking for some name and each time I said there was nobody hear by that name... it is clearly scammers.

3 calls left on my answering machine at 11 PM. midnight and 1 AM from this number by 2 different female non English native speakers..Dell Financial services they said..I returned the call 3 hours later and they wanted to confirm my order then asked for my SS #..After my eyes started to focus I looked up the real Dell Financial services and talked to someone who confirmed an order had been placed in my name..I have never ordered anything from Dell..My phone number is a USA number but it rings anywhere in the world and I'm in Thailand..

Just got a call, though the call did not connect.  I have actually asked someone at Dell about it, and they say they never cold-call.  I posit that since Dell does outsource to companies in India that someone who used to work for Dell in India is using information they co-opted for these calls.  I had one call where they actually knew the computer model and serial number of a laptop I used to have, though I had given the laptop away years ago.

I have received 17 calls from 800-456-3355 over the last two weeks.  First,a tollfree number cannot originate a call so you are purposely masking were these calls originate. When I call this number and ask what state I am calling the heavily accented girl asked"what do you mean state?" These calls are originating outside of the US and you are hiding that fact. After further research you employees are transferring live calls to my home. I have torn up your customers before I found out they were transferred by 'dell'sopprt,and have no clue what is actually happening. Why are your employees transferring customer calls to a residence in Henderson, Nevada at all hours. Reported to FCC and FTC AS BOTH HARRASSMENT AND FRAUD.  FIX THIS NOW!!

Our credit card was used for a Dell purchase. We immediately reported it and the card was shut down. Now I receive calls from Dell at this number every day asking for Henry Williams (?) and trying to get me to pay the balance on the order. I explain every time that this was fraud and that they need to cancel the order. I also asked if anything went out to this guy and they no. Every time they say they will cancel the order, but continue to call me again. I called the number on their website for Order Customer Service and was told I was being transferred to someone who handles fraud. She asked for my credit card number. I refused. She finally told me that there had been several purchases but wouldn’t be more specific. She also refused to cancel the order and told me she had no record of Dell calling me. It was clear she had nothing to do with fraud or she would have canceled the order. If Dell is not the one scamming people, then it seems likely to me that their employees on these call centers are running a bit of a bit of a side business scam. They called me. They should not need to be asking for details from me re my credit card or any other information. And they should certainly be willing to cancel the order. The fact that the credit card was shut down should be enough proof for them. Something here is definitely not legitimate.

6507632655 is the scam party, but they spoof other legit numbers like Dell 800 456 3355, so people think some legit company is calling, but since I had a software setting I was able to get their original number.. they said they are calling from Anderson Honda for an order I placed for a honda CRV, but as soon as I said wrong number, they said they thought so... not sure what they are gathering or upto... also, they may not be from Anderson honda either, they just use various fake names of legit companies... sometimes they ask for date of birth, social security, credit card info, etc for identity theft...

I got the some call at that number but I don’t Answer them I know the eight 100 number that you call me I know usually from my Health insurance company
