Got a call from 800-456-3355 but they did not leave a message.  I looked up the phone number and it seems as marketing call or a scam.

I did order a Dell computer yesterday.. but to call back at 3:46 AM!!!!.. I don't have voicemail so no message. just a notice that  I had a call from this number at that time.. Good thing I did not hear the phone ring.. I probably would not have been very nice.

Yes I just ordered a Dell computer and received a call from this number.  I didn't answer, and no voice mail was left.  I don't think I'll be answering the number ever based on what I've read here.  Just because the guy calling works at Dell, doesn't make him honest.  India is a very corrupt country.  Everybody has to bribe everybody else just as a normal practice, and nobody can be trusted.  I'm glad that I used Pay Pal and didn't give them any credit card information.

At work, Dell computers are known as great products.  If only they weren't off-shoring.  It's creepy and it makes me not want to do business with them.

I received a legit call from them stating that my refund has been posted to my credit card.  I've gone to this website many times looking for numbers and this is the first time it was legit.  Also, I am a fan of Dell support so I am biased.

I picked up receiver, and then I hung up.  My new policy on unidentified toll free callers.

This number called me 2 times. The first call was way too early to be making calls. I answered the second time they asked for information that should not be needed to confirm a computer order. I called dells legitimate number to ask about this call. They said the number was dell's number, but they had no record of them calling me or why they would ask for such information. So my advice do not answer and do not give any information out. they are probably scamming or trying to do some id theft of some kind.

We have Dell products. However, when Dell calls, the company calls the house phone, not my cell. After reading the posts here, Some people are swearing that the number is a Dell number, but what legitimate company asks for a Social Security number?

Anyway, I attempted calling back this number and the cell's application flagged it saying it was a spam number. No worries, though. No one has ordered anything or expecting anything to be delivered. And if Dell needs to reach me, Dell knows to call the house phone.

I receive a call today from this phone number from USA, but he spoke french (Québec) and I'm from Québec and when it ring I see than I have a missing call from them. He want to speak to Jean-Francois (no family name) but no J-F here. It's weird because I see here than many people receive a wrong number or order with special questions from personnal life.... Very weird phone number from apparently Dell but the person who speak he's didn't identify from Dell

Got a call today from them also.
It is Dell, since I made an order with them yesterday.
It is for the shipment and to verify that it is not a fraud and that they have the correct informations (For example, I had my cell phone on the order, but my location is in a different area), so they ask to have the home phone.

Don't give any additionnal information since they should have it all already in their system.

This REALLY is helpful DELL support. So check your human memory to see if you contacted DELL and this is them returning your call.

Called at 730 am?  WTH...didn't answer.  No purchase from Dell ever.

Or it is a scam that is simply spoofing their caller ID to use Dell's number to look like a legit company. It's not hard to spoof an ID and has been used countless times.

Its a Scam Plain and simple just ignore it or hang up immediately. If you need to call Dell then go to their website and call them. These guys are just "spoofing" the caller id number to seem real but they just want your identity and are trying to steal from you instead of earning a honest living.

I just received a call from this number. Didn't recognize it so I googled and found this site (yay!).

At present, I **am** waiting on a Dell service tech to appear at my door to fix my laptop which is still under warranty. However, the tech has called me several times directly so there's no reason Dell needs to be calling me. Also, they didn't leave a voicemail, which I think is rather unprofessional. I have worked in many offices and have always been expected to leave a voicemail when that is an option.

Also, my original interaction with Dell was via online chat, so it's surprising that they would choose to contact me via phone. They've got my email and it works just fine.

My Dell Account rep, who I have a long running relationship with, calls from this number.  I have also taken from this number from others clearly imposing as Dell employees.  Just be smart and when in doubt, hang up.

Someone from this number is harassing me.. I had considered ordering a Dell, but looked into other options and bought an Asus.. The first day she called she seemed helpful, I told her that if I was interested  call her back. The next day while I was at work I had 4 missed phone calls in 2 minutes. In another 5 minutes she started calling again, 2 calls in I answered and snapped at her about harassment and to stop calling me. She had said she would.. and now two days later I'm woken up at 8AM to another 2 missed calls.. This is seriously harassment I've asked them to stop spam calling me to try selling me a computer and they just won't take no for an answer..

This number is dell tech support, if you sent your computer out for repair or ordered something, they will call and give yous status updates on your order and follow ups on your service. It is a legitimate number.

If you receive a call asking for personal information (CC, Social Security, etc) it is NOT Dell, and the call has its number masked by a scammer who somehow obtained your phone number, don't bash Dell because somebody played the system to try and trick you, instead just hang up and call Dell yourself to check it out.

I am a long time Dell customer and have never received any calls trying to upsell me from this number or from them at all, so I find those reports a bit suspicious. When it comes to computers people will exaggerate their horror stories about brands they hate due to natural personal bias and uptalk their personal favorites, so take everything with a grain of salt.

To the people who complain about tech support being based in India, they work for far less than Americans would, and as a result you enjoy the savings so it's a double edged sword, not many would be willing to pay for the increase in prices as a result of American based support but enjoy bashing the other countries who work for less. Goal should be higher education and/or vocational focused programs anyway, not working tech support which is admittedly one of the worst jobs a person can have based on reviews.

Just Dell following up on a recent order that had arrived yesterday.  Thanks to this site I answered it!  ;-)

I just got a call from this number on a different phone.  It is Dell and they were calling about a service call I have with them, telling me the parts aren't in yet and they are just following up with my service.

Someone call me who left no message, why ?? I do not know why this person called me
