They do not identify themselves, but they refer to Macy's in their automated message...

Pressing the operator I got when I called (who gave a fictitious name), she claims to be working for "Convergent" who are providing "credit services to Macy's". So I called Macy's directly using the number on the card. Yes, they use "Convergent". But there were no issues with my account.

Got 4th, 5th call on landline (registered with DNC), I thought, well, I've got a bit of time to kill:

    GENEVEIVE (PHILOPINES):  Hirro ....

    BLAH, BLAH, BLAH ...

I spent half-an-hour with her explaining I bought a lovely hat for my dog at Macy's in cash, and why are they calling me because I'm a sick woman, and my blood pressure is 310 over 160!

I think I had the poor girl crying.

I haven't shopped in Macy's in over 20 years.  I'm also a dude.  And I probably, probably (!) wouldn't put a hat on my dog.

I wasted so much of their time and labor with utter lies, and then at least 1 maybe 2 other "personnel" got on the phone, but were super secret like they weren't listening.  I ask Jean-Allen (her name kept changing because I kept changing it for her) who refused to admit it was now a 4-way conversation.

TAKE HOME ADVICE:  Call them back, waste at least 30 minutes of their time and labor.  It's fun, makes them feel like [***], and it totally wastes their money.

Enjoy.  Make up whatever story you want.  Work on different fake voices.  At point I told her I thought my dog was going to kill me and eat my pelvis.  It all worked like a charm.  LOL!

We get these calls from this number 800-511-3207 saying it is related to a business matter.   It is very annoying since our Macy's account is not past due !

The US government should put a stop to these type of calls

Received several phone calls over the last few days from this number claimed to be Macy's and reporting a problem with my account, wanting me to call back and give personal information.  They said they work for Macy's but clearly they don't.

My husband &  I have been getting calls from this phone # forever!! I have no idea who it I finally answered the call, only to get a recorded message stating: "Your call may be monitored for quality assurance" ~ the phone then rings again, only to receive a second recording of the same message: "Your call may be monitored for quality assurance" after that, all I got was a ringing signal ~ I became frustrated and hung up!!! I STILL receive calls from this phone number, and I can assure you, I am NOT DELIQUENT on any debts ~ credit cards, car loans, (which I don't have) or mortgage ( I no longer have one) I have been reduced to picking up my phone and hanging it up AT LEAST 10 TIMES, EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :(

I don't know if it is from Macy's or not.   I hung up when I answered and didn't get a real person and I hung up
as soon as I called back and got put on hold without even having a person to talk to.   This number started calling today a 9:40, 12:40, 3:40 on the dot.
After reading some of these posts I went to Macy's online.  I called Macy's credit services direct from the number listed online.   Long story short, I had a typo in my payment that they never bothered to let me know didn't process and I didn't catch it on my checking account that it had not cleared.    So a mix of my fault and what I feel to be bad communication on their part but the payment is made and I am assured I will not be getting that 6:40PM phone call.
The representative did not seem to think the fact I was being called or the number on the caller ID to be odd and I did state  the number that was calling me.
Just for the record though, I would not be giving out my personal information to some random 800 number operator either.  They called ME, they should have the information and only need minor verification if they are really Macy's credit department.  The lady I called only needed that standard minor verification and she was professionally friendly and polite. Too bad we can not verify the people who call us as easily in most cases.

called back the number 800-511-3207 - Bernadette with a heavy accent asked for my number. Asked for a supervisor and was given Phil  Paano -s tated was part of Macy's but is with a company Convergent and is in the Phillipines, 11th mega c, SM Megamall, meinaolu city, Philllipines 12388766 and gave a number of 02 857 7677. When given the number he called he stated he will take it off the list (which the number should not have been on regardless). Stated his supervisor is  Lovely Blancaflor  63207569623 but had stepped out of the office already (@6PM EST).  Will be submitting this info to the FCC and General Attorneys office. Suggest all contact them to start a class action suit against Macy's dubious collection agency practices.

    I have a Macy's Account
Macy's didn't post my payment and 800 511 3207 is the collection agency used by Macy's.  Told Macy's that this was unacceptable and cancelled my account.

I have received 11 calls from 8005113207 in the past week and several voicemails "MACYS calling regarding a personal business matter..." blah blah.
Called HR services today and they have NO record of Macy's needing to contact me. My next step was filing a report with the compliance department because I believe it is a scam.
What blows my mind is that this feed dates back to 2007 and yet no one else had ever filed a report with Macy's compliance? Strange.

In the past week I've received about a half dozen calls from 1 800 511-3207 saying they have been unable to reach me and would like me to call them back concerning my Macy's account. The problem is I do not have, nor have I ever had,a Macy's account.I rarely ever shop at Macy's and have no idea how they got my number.I'm afraid to call them back for fear that I'll never get rid of them.

I've started getting calls from this number yesterday (11/19/13) and the calls have been on point with the timing...

8:20am...11:20am...2:21pm...5:22pm...and 4 hours ago at 8:39am! Jesus Christ. I have not picked up at all because I don't pick up 800 calls nor calls that don't leave a voicemail. If a call was important, they would leave a voicemail.

So I blocked the number. If you have an updates iPhone to ios7, you can simply block numbers now :)

This number is the Macy's Credit Card debt collection center. Their automated system is overzealous and poorly designed. I continued to receive calls even after I paid my balance in full and had to ask the representative to update my status in their system so that the calls would stop. If you are receiving calls from this number it is because Macy's thinks you owe them money.
