Report a phone call from 800-511-3207 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DA| 1 replyReceived multiple calls on cell phone. Called the number and asked why we were receiving messages to call the 1-800-511-3207 number. Lady explained they were a collection agency for Macy's. I informed her that we did not have a Macy's acct. nor did anyone in our family. She asked for the phone number they had been calling and I provided it to her. She even asked for the area code. I explained that the number they have been calling belongs to my teenage daughter. She assured me this was a mistake and that someone's acct. has her number associated with it. She stated she would locate and remove the number from their account. Can only trust her and give them the chance to correct the mistake.
- JimI have received two automated calls from this number asking me to call Macys about "a personal business matter". I don't have a Macys account and don't ever shop there. I am suspicious this is a fact finding outfit for 'identity theft' in some manner, but like others, was left on hold for so long I finally hung up.
- rustic7772These people call me everyday. When I call the number they say to call back--I get a recording identifying themselves as "credit department" and I can never get a person on the line. I finally called the number that called me on the caller id: 866-849-3243 and you can select to block future calls from the number...who knows if it will actually work. It's so annoying...I called Macys and they told me that my account is in good standing. However, she said they do have their own "credit department" and they will make calls regarding accounts. They do not outsource to collection agencies. The agent I spoke to said that she did not know the number 800-511-3207.

- GregI received an automated message on my direct line at work from Macy's. It said please call regarding a personal matter and the number is 800-511-3207.
The first time I called the 800 number they asked for my credit card number. I declined to provide it to them and they gave me the Customer Service # 866-593-2543 which is the number on the back of my card. I explained what happened and they said it was suspicious. Customer service did confirm I had a $0.00 balance.
When I called the 800 number a second time it was a recording about getting the next representative and then a track of old music. I finally spoke with a representative in India who said they are calling on behalf of credit services for Macy's or Bloomingdales. They asked for my credit card number which I did not give to them. I gave the rep my name and address and last four of the social security number and they were able to confirm that I had a $0.00 balance. I asked the rep since I have a $0.00 balance at Macy's and do not have a Bloomingdales card why are they calling. She could not explain why.
I do think it is a valid service that Macy's outsourced the calling to, however the automated system is calling cardholders with a zero balance. It is probably just a programming error. It does pay to be cautious. - TerriI get calls DAILY from these bozos - I don't have a Macy's, I don't work there- how do we make it stop!
- Caller: Macy's
- Stephanie WatsonRecorded call asked me to call Macy's on personal business regarding my account number. I called the 1(800)511-3207 and when I refused to give her my acct. no, she hung up on me.
The recorded message sounded professional and prompted me to call to find out what was wrong. Thought it might be someone using my acct to purchase goods. Beware!- Caller: Macy's
- AnthonyI received a call on my telephone from 866-849-3243 saying that it was personal issue with my Macy's account and to call them back at 800-511-3207. I called back the number indicated in the email and it immediately went to an automated system and asked me to wait for the next representative and to have my account number ready. When I was connected to the representative, they said they they were a company working with Macy's and Bloomingdale's. They asked me for the number that called, which I gave them. This would indicate that they are able to determine scam based on the number that is dialed. They then asked me for my account and name. I refused to give it to them. I explained to them that I have a contract credit card contract with Macy's/Bloomingdale's, but not with them. If they are not the company, then they will not get any of my information. The phone call ended at that time. Will call Macy's to report it and also call the National Do Not Call List office, since the phone they called me on is registered.
- MarthaFScam call masquerading as Macy's on a "personal call" asked me to call this number. Since I do not have an account, this is clearly a fraud. Caller ID from 866-849-3243
- PADHmmm, I didn't receive any calls from this number, however I DID receive two letters, stating they were 'Macy's' and to call the above 800 number. Wouldn't this constitute mail fraud, which is a Federal offense?
- TheFixI too have been receiving calls and voicemails from the 800 number on my cell phone stating "This is Macys calling regarding a business matter.." and to please return their call. First of all, I do not even have a Macys card, and secondly, I refuse to shop there (way too many better bargains online from other vendors).
To remedy this, I simply Blocked all Incoming calls to my cellular phone, except for the phone numbers that are stored in my Contact list on my phone. This way, I know who is calling and have totally cut out strange numbers from calling me.
The only slight downside, is that you have to keep your Contact List current and/or add new numbers as you need to. Very simply put" If you're not on the list, you're not getting in".- Caller: Macy's

- Caller: Macy's?
- shans1secIt is Macy's you are either late on a bill or there is an issue with your mailing address. Don't wait for a service rep. just go to Macys on line and take care of your bill. The message I got when I answered is to call Macys or go online and look at my account.

- Sandra sanabria replies to ErinThis worked, thanks! It's is terribly stupid the way the handle the accounts. The worst is I didn't apply for their credit card at all!
- bflyI got a call today from the 800-511-3207...called back and it rang, said that the call might be recorded, all operators were busy and then it cut me off. So I looked thru some of the comments on this thread and found the 866-593-2543 number and called. I ACTUALLY got an American speaking person (last time I had 2 very hard to understand Philipeno people--1 of which was EXTREMELY rude) and he said that my payment had never been recieved. I paid on 5/18 via internet, he gave me some BS about internet payments being rejected sometimes due to insuffcient funds...let me say, there were plenty of funds...I EVEN got a conformation number! Anyway, he said to check my back account. I did. No payment was taken out. But my story doesn't stop there. Let me say that I NEVER got the first bill in the mail...$25 late fee was applied...so that is when I called to speak with the non-English speaking rude people. FINALLY got that taken off, then today I get this guy saying I'm late...How can I be late when I paid it in full online with a conformation number???? Ok, obviously I had no idea that it wasn't paid until today so guess what--another $25 late fee. I told him I wasn't going to pay it when I thought I'd paid in full my bill on 5/18. He took it off and I paid it again online. Waiting now to see if it comes out of my bank account. WHAT COMPLETE BS! I AM CANCELLING THIS CARD IMMEDIATELY, THE COMFORTER THAT I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING AT SUCH A GREAT DEAL IS NOT WORTH ALL THE BS FROM MACY'S. THERE WILL BE NO MORE BUSINESS. CAUTION PEOPLE!!! :)

- ArtI got a call this morning from 800-511-3207. I called back, the Indian lady asked for my account number, I said I didn't have it (in front of me), so she hung up on me. I heard an Indian man's voice in the background, which leads me to believe these calls are outsourced to India. I called back 3 or 4 times, the line kept going dead.. perhaps they were blocking my calls?
So, I called the Macy's customer service line. I was told my account was past due. Um.. what? I explained I paid it off in full over 2 months ago (which I did, over the phone). The representative said I didn't pay the "residual interest" so there was that and 2 late fees, totaling $50 and then some. I explained this was unacceptable. He said he would remove one of the late fees ($27). I said, still unacceptable, since when I paid my bill in full on April 13, the woman told me that was it. He replied, "Oh, she didn't know about the residual interest." How, exactly, is that MY fault, if you don't train your people correctly. Finally asked to speak to a supervisor. Always go to the top, people. I explained my situation. He removed all charges and interest, leaving me with a zero balance (or so he says).
I'm going to give it a few days to clear, then I'm canceling my Macy's card.
The 800-511-3207 IS a legitimate number. I'm now glad they called me, since I had no idea this was going on and was able to clear it up. Hope it didn't affect my credit score.- Caller: Macy's

- qThey kept calling my house. When my wife answered she said she was not interested and they kept calling and hanging up anyway, several times per day. They did not even leave a message. When I called the number, they put me in a waiting list-sometimes it cut me off. I finally got someone (sounded from India) in a barely audible voice. I told them if they kept calling I was going to pursue legal options and made it loudly clear to never call my number again. We will see what happens.
If they do call, I am going to find a way to sue their butts off.
Someone has got to draw a line with these people if it is Macy's. If it is not, it is up to Macy to get their lawyers to file criminal charges and shut them down. For now, I make sure no one in my home is going to go to Macy's.- Caller: Macy's or Poser as Macy
- HMMGot this call at 815 am with this phone number, I did not answer cuz I know there are too many scams. Would be happy if the investagtor inspects who the scams called.
