I am on the do not call list.
I am going to take a new not listed number and pay Comcast
3$ a month to keep this as a secret and if I get one more of this
calls I will bring in a lawyer.
Because I am mad as HELL!!!!

The best you can do is change you phone number and asked not be listed an pay exta every month.
We are also on the do not call list and still we get this type of harrasment every single day.
I am from the Netherlands and we dont treat each other like this, so this is very spooky for us.

With Voice over IP (think Vonage, Skype, and similar services) it's relatively easy to set your Caller ID number to whatever you want. I do this so my Google Voice number shows when I make calls from home.

800-555-1212 IS indeed toll free directory assistance. It IS indeed a machine. It's also something that YOU call and will never EVER call you.

So when 800-555-1212 shows up on your caller ID (as it did on mine today) it's quite obviously that someone is faking that caller ID number. And who would do that but a scammer?

Am receiving calls from 800-555-1212, which is my business cell and does not accept solicitations.

I have call display and the phone number in question had phoned me at least 4 times before I decided to answer it. She asked me if I except American Express. I asked who was calling and she gave me her name (which I forget) I said I don't care what your name is I just want to know what company is calling me. She then said that she will take me off the calling list. I then said: That would be a great idea.
I have not had a call from that number since.

This number called me and when i answered some creepy voice said that i had 7 days to live, they also mentioned that they knew what i did last summer. Its the start of the 7th day so i'll let you know what happens tomm.

My mother is the one who took the call.  They ask what she was doing.  When she asked who it was they said she didn't need to know.  A screen was torn during a break in and they said we haven't gotten the screen fixed yet.

I also recieved a phone all from the new age marketing, they were trying to tell me I still had a unpaid balance on a contract for a second half of magazines. When I asked what magazines he told me only his supervisor has that information I told him I only but magazies from the store he said this from a long time ago I asked to speak to his supervisor he said he was the supervisor!!!!I  SCAMMM  is there any thing we can do how do they get our name I also am on DNC list...

wow these folks are unreal!! called again today finally was able to answer-wants to know if I'm still getting my magazines at an address I haven't lived at for over 5 years-can't tell me which magazines-decides it's my own fault for not updating my address (for magazines I didn't know I was getting?) and now I owe like 30 payments that they'll just get from me (from what account I'm not quite sure) and when I tell him I didn't order any magazines and you can't tell what magazines I'm not getting he tells me he'll send it to the dispute department. When I ask for a number I can call them back at should I have any questions he says don't worry honey we'll call you since you owe us money....doubtful!

I have received numerous calls in the past two weeks from 800-555-1212.   The first time I answered without looking at the number and I heard someone giggling on the line and then it hung up.   The next  times, I did not answer and no message was left.  CST  3/17 @ 5:10p; 3/16, 3/15, 3/11, 3/10  all around the same time in the evening.   I am also signed up for the NO CALL directory but it doesn't seem to work for this number.

Received 3 calls within 3 hours but left no message.

Isn't this supposed to be an information source? If I answer there is a delayed response...then I hang up. I've had several of these recently on my cell phone. How can I stop them from calling?

I have been getting calls from 800-555-1212. I never answer because I have had problems with these telemarketers in the past... just want it to stop.

They are a scam and call all times of the day and night. About magazines and books . We have asked them to take ore number off their list they laugh at us.Last the lady said she was the supper visor when she called it was 9:00 when I told her it was 9:00 she said no it is not it is 8:58. I was really angry and handed the phone to my husband. he asked her to remove our number and she said I had to do it and only if I polite so i said nice as I could(with my child crying in the back ground from being woke up) to please take my number off  she said I hear some hostilities in your voice laughingly. I said you woke my 6 yr old she said well tell him sweet dreams. I hung up! These people need to be stopped.

(800)555-1212 IS toll-free information. You need to get your facts straight.

I have received a number of unsolicited calls from this number. When I answer there is no response. I am listed on the do not call list but need to know how to report this number's owners.
