I got 2 calls from 800-555-1212 this morning within 30 minutes of each other. I ignored the first one and came here to see the complaints. They just called again and I answered. The man said "Congratulations Miss Simmers (not my name), you have been selected to receive $180 off magazine subscriptions". I cut him off and told him to go to h*ll and hung up. Total scam!

Jan. 9,"180-055-5121", "unknown name" in cid. Jan. 12 & 14, "800-555-1212", "toll free call" in cid. Morons in the gubment can't figure rocket science OR how to bust these einsteinian brainiacs.

Answered this phone call and got a recording stating I had won $108 in prizes. I didn't let the call go further. I hung up.

Have gotten this Call 2x's today and they called yesterday as well. I have caller id. They left no message and hung up need to use number that blocks the caller which means I have to unblock or remove other numbers because my blocking all is limited to 20 and I have used up all the blocking slots. Grrh

These nutwipes must enjoy calling/scamming. I enjoy looking at the Caller ID, seeing it is probably a scammer and NOT answering the phone. After so many such calls over so many years, it's laugh or cry. Call Block? Been there, done that, but always a new number to add. Do Not Call list? Really? The irony is that I get even more calls now than I did BEFORE the list. The "pages" for this scam number go back how far? To 2007? Seriously, nothing has gotten rid of these cockroaches! By the way, regarding the scammer's phone number info on my Caller ID-- any ideas as to what the following number is that appears at the bottom of my Caller ID: V11918210200046 ?

Calls every day about same time in the afternoon, started about a week ago. I have not answered and they do not leave a VM. Thankful for my phone that blocks numbers, they just got added. Caller ID says "AT&T". Yeah, right.

i got a call from this number just a few minutes ago = came down to my computer to look it up and it said It is a scam = thank heavens I did not leave any message but I did say hello = only because I am in the process of refinancing my home and I am waiting for a call from my mortgage company =

After loosing my wife lately I have received many calls from the 800-555-1212 number none of which I have answered because the 555-1212 is supposed to be long-distance information so why would they be calling me. Do not answer this number!!!! It is for your use only and not an incoming call. How they are able to call my number and have the info number show up is beyond my knowledge. My son does work for the cybercrime unit for the GBI and I will see if he can help find these crooks.

Do not belive this. It is not a directory assistance number. If so why would directory assistance be calling me for no apparent reason. I called it back and got a recording of how the number wasnt in service.

Just got a call from this number, didn't know who it was so I didn't answer but the caller ID showed this number as Hawaii Carl rental.

Received a call, today 04/03/205 at 4:09pm CDT, gtom this telephone number, 1-800-555-1212, it was a machine telling me I was a "valuable customer" and I hung up .....

This number showed up on my caller ID as belonging to AT&T. They claimed I was a valuable customer, and that I had just won a $20 gift card for Walmart. I hung up, as I do not have AT&T for anything, so I knew it was a scam.
