I have received numerous calls from this number.  Today I was called by Brian, which may not be his name because he did not give the full / same company name as previous callers. When I told him that: 1)  I am on the do not call list; 2) I told the last person who called me that they needed to remove my name from their list or else; 3) I will sue them if anyone calls me again from this company or number again. 'Brian' told me that for 3 reasons that was not going to happen: 1) I cannot sue because I had nothing to sue for; 2) I don't have the money to sue; and - I did not allow him to give the third reason because I hung up as I was about to loose my cool.  I believe the third reason was going to be along the lines of the response I got from the previous caller, which was I had ordered magazines from them and they had my Visa card number and was going to renew my subscriptions anyway. After I moved to my new address unsolicited magazines start coming to my house. I could not stop them because I had not started them. I believe Comcast is responsible for the harassment I am experiencing because they sell their customers info, and according to their privacy policy, this could include their banking info.  I am looking into what actions can be taken against Comcast and I suggest that others do the same because 1 person cannot stop a flood. I do not believe I am the only person incensed by these annoying calls or the fact that I am subjected to this deplorable activity because of the actions of a billion dollar company that makes money from its customers' private information.

Why is a number of this nature calling me?

Received a phone call from this number on my cell , which is registered on the DNC list.  I did not answer and they left no message.  Looks like a bogus phishing scam number to me.

This number called me and I want off the list of this scam asking for my credit cards n such!!  In which, I so not use credit cards for this reason!!

Didn't answer as I recognize the number as possible directory assistance and thought why would d.a. be calling me? Weird.

First, this phone number is just spoofed - you'll never determine where the call is coming from and can be spoofed by many different scammers.  This day, this scammer is trying to sell car warranty extensions.

Oh thank you for posting this so recently! I picked up even though I didn't recognize it to give them the benefit of the doubt, and after about 2 and a half seconds of silence I hung up. I take great pleasure in telling those people that I don't have a house/car/credit card/whatever- sometimes it really throws them for a loop, and I almost wish I had gotten that far.

Notified me the warranty on my car was about to expire and wanted to know if I'd like to extend it. I asked him who is he, who does he work for and why should I trust him with a few special words in between. He hung up. My car is 13 y/o.

caller from 800-555-1212 called my landline several times..the last time yesterday i called it back to hear recording about 800 directory assistance. today i answered to hear recording telling me my car warranty had run out, didi i want to hear more options to restore press 1, blah blah. i hung up.  my warranty has been up for years!!! idiots !!!  now today they are calling my cell # i do not answer however i am writing this comment because i'm fed up but what can you or me do about this crap scam
nothing!!!! somebody that can should however the most trusted law & justice system we have can't or won't stop fraudulent, perjury committing Hillary Clinton so what do ordinary tax paying, law abiding people citizens expect?  ___, that what I thought!
